Just got my hands on v7 and noticed an issue with the Vue.js version of it. There’s a black outline on the popups. If you click on the Cart icon (top right) you should see it. It isn’t there in the React version.
Also the left aside menu icon (<<) is no colored and doesn’t update to (>>) depending if is expanded or not. Icons doesn’t look as vivid as the React version.

Also you don’t get the highlight on the selected aside menu item as with the React version. For example, navigating to Vue Bootstrap -> Badge doesn’t highlight on there.
On the dropdowns, hovering on an item shows the black outline, same as with the popups. Just so you know.
Well, the aside menu on Vue.js is very broken. If you navigate to Vue Bootstrap -> Buttons -> Button and then navigate to any other menu like Dropdown, it stays on Buttons.

I don’t want to sound harsh but this version feels very rushed. Also, if you compare the HTML vs React or Vue, the look and feel of the HTML is way better than the React or Vue versions. You can notice immediately while looking for example at the Checkbox in HTML vs React vs Vue.

Yes, this is something we plan to implement. Just to double confirm your request, do you need a page label config overriding ? Currently we have a global level config which is applied to all pages by default and you would need an option to override the global config for certain pages ?

A page level config override would be great. Basically I’d be using two demos. One for the main site (which doesn’t need page level config override) and one for a dashboard which needs page level config override (only for the menuconfig, not necessary for layout and html class service elems)

In version 7 we have only one demo (demo1) for react. Other demos will be ready later.
In old versions, mixed of two demos in one application can be achieved through way of preparing two applications in different subfolders with cross links to each other. (it’s just improvization, cause architecture of current version doesn’t give us this opportunity.

Thank you for the reply. I was able to conditionally load the layout config and menu config from the separate demo but unable to load the styles. I am sure that the build includes those styles but the components from demo 2 doesn’t take those styles. Any suggestions?
Demos styles right now are separated. React demo2 isn’t ready right now. Suggestion is to wait till React demo2 will be released. I think the month it will be released with other demos. If there are any suggestions we will note you.

in the new Metronic 7.0 the aside opening and closing animation is gone. Is this a bug or it was done on purpose? Any plan/option to restore the original animation?

Thanks for your feedback on this.
This is on purpose. The animated aside caused slowness when you have various elements(charts, maps, etc) in the content. Also in terms of user experience quicker aside toggling is more efficient. In such cases we tent to choose the performance side but we will still work on it in the future and try to find a better way.

I see the reason of your decision, it makes sense. I just want to report a thing: When the aside is in compact mode moving the mouse on the “angle double right icon” make the aside reopening immediately, without the possibility to click on the “angle double right icon” in order to toggle the aside; that is possible only clicking on “angle double left icon” which is a little bit counterintuitive for switching from the compact mode to the standard mode.
In the old version the behavior was different: the mouse caused the aside to open immediately only while it was hover the links but not while it was hover the logo and “angle double right icon”, giving to the user the ability to click on the right icon also while it was in the compact mode in order to toggle the aside.

I also noticed that while installing modules through Yarn there are a lot of warning for old/deprecated packages.

Demo 1’s toggle requires more time since we are still working on it. Please note that the login width change on the loading state is not a bug, it’s normal behavior. In v7.0.2 we have other enhancements, fixes, and new features.

What do you mean when you wrote above “If you need the classic version we can provide a link to download it.”? How does the classic version differ from webpack / gulp version? I’m having trouble with the webpack/gulp setup (never having worked with these tools before), and am wondering if the classic version would be easier for me to work with.

I am trying to create a search page using “angular instant search” components from algolia. When I select an item to refine the search, the other components in the page are not updated. But if I click again the same item, it renders the last state of the search. The same components work fine in angular project without metronic theme. It seems to exist some issue blocking components rendering. Any idea what might be the problem?

Looks like you have the ChangeDetection issue.
Try to follow the doc: https://alligator.io/angular/change-detection-strategy/ For increasing performance in Metronic Angular we choosed ChangeDetection Strategy OnPush.
In your case, in constructor add param private ‘cd: ChangeDetectorRef’, then in your subrscribe result call ‘this.cd.detectChanges();’

If you meant how to install and use Metronic in your server then please note that Metronic does not require any server side installation. You will need to the Metronic build tools in your development environment and when deploy your site to server you only deploy the compiled assets.

Check your package.json: ”@material-ui/core”: “4.7.0”, ”@material-ui/icons”: “4.5.1”, ”@material-ui/lab”: “4.0.0-alpha.33”, ”@material-ui/pickers”: “3.2.8”, ”@material-ui/styles”: “4.6.0”,
Pay attention that all libraries are without ^ symbol. Remove your node_modules+*.lock files (from recycle bin too) and reinstall packages. I hope it helps you.

About warnings during ‘npm install’ – there are no any breakable 3d party libraries (except ngx-daterangepicker-material)

If you are using the buildable version of Metronic you can get it done in seconds.
Go to “theme\default\demo1\src\assets\sass\global\layout\_config.scss” and change the aside width variable there. Then you just need to recompile the theme.
