I’m not sure if I understand properly what you are referring to. I understood that you would like to change the way featured images are displayed on your blog page. Currently, you see these images only when you hover each posted item, and you are looking to have these images always visible. Is this right?

If this is what you are looking for, you can try by adding this custom CSS rule to your custom styles via Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

.post-item .post-overlay,
.post-item:hover .post-overlay {
    top: 10px;
    right: 10px;
    bottom: 10px;
    left: 10px;
    background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
}

As you can see, the last value for the propery background is ‘0.5’. This is a value between zero and one. Being zero totally transparent.

First of all, many thanks for reaching out, and don’t worry because of the support license, since you are reporting an issue we should investigate closer.

Notice that WordPress from versions 5.5 to 5.7 will be updating some of the most important javascript dependencies and this will have an impact on the different themes and plugins that must be updated accordingly in order to prevent broken functionalities.

In this sense, and especially with our last theme update, we made all the necessary improvements to make the theme fully compatible with these modifications, being sure that the theme works not only with WordPress 5.5.3 but with WordPress 5.6 which will be initially released on December 8th.

With this in mind, and being the theme ready for all of this process, it’s possible that some specific functionality could run some related issues. Because of this we are going to review this closely and will give you more related details in this sense.

Just wanted to highlight the point where the WordPress updates stage is and how this is going to impact themes and plugins during this period in order to ask for your collaboration and patience in this phase, since providing themes feature richer is harder to troubleshoot, debug and polish.

So if you recently have made some maintenance to your website by updating other plugins or you have installed new add-ons, I really encourage you to review these new additions. Also, if you have changed your server configuration or something similar. The theme cannot stop loading without doing any changes to the website and this could happen because of many different reasons. Initially, the theme is not running any related issue and no other users have reported anything similar, and since we cannot debug your website and we cannot do this even if you would have an active support license because this level of assistance is out of our support scope, everything points to a configuration issue.

If you write to us using the contact form on our profile page, we’ll have a quick look at your site in order to see if we clearly see the reason because you are having this issue. Hey there,

These are the related options you have available for you to configure your slider. As you can see, you can configure the slider to start automatically and set the interval timing in seconds. Once the last slide is achieved, the slider returns to the first slide in order to start again (infinite). If you are having another different result, please, do make sure that you are running an updated theme version and that no other third-party plugin could collide somehow with your website or the theme functionalities.

You should not have any problem with the latest theme version available. If you have updated your website to the latest theme version since a quite old one, and you are using some cache plugin, it is very possible that you are facing a cache issue, because of this, you cannot see your projects on your portfolio pages. The first thing I would encourage you to review is this detail, and also, you should flush your page cache on your plugin configuration.

For the images in the single portfolio, my client add all the “alt-text” precise like in your pic but if I see the code page in my internet browser, the “alt” still empty: alt=”” and of course google tell me that I have a issues for our ranking points.

When you create your links with the text editor, you will see the ‘wheel tool’ nearby the text field where you enter the link (screenshot), just click on this option and you will see the related option for you to open any text link in a different tab (screenshot). The same goes for links placed on images that you add within a text module while adding these contents via the ‘Add Media’ button (screenshot). Notice that for these specific purposes the theme provides the CTA Module that provides this specific option (screenshot).

Yes, the theme works perfectly fine with the latest maintenance update for WordPress core. In any case, and having into account that each installation is totally different because each user has different plugins and server configurations, we always encourage you to do a backup before updating any WordPress website, the theme you use is not the only failure point when updating your site and it’s interesting to have these backups copies.

I’m sorry to hear that you are facing some kind of issue with your site. But do not worry because for sure we can help with it.

Since you have moved your website to a totally different server with contents and configurations (I understand that you made a complete migration), the first detail you should review is your PHP version running in the new server. In this sense, anything above PHP 7.0.3 should work just fine. It’s possible that your site is breaking because of some code execution issues due to this reason.

If this does not fix this out, please, do write us using the contact form in our profile page and provide access to your site in order to we can review this issue closer and see how we can better guide you.

Notice that migrations are not a trivial task and they are quite risky since many details no related to the theme are involved. I just can tell you in advance that 99% of the times when things are breaking in this way are due to misconfigurations or server issues. As you can see, no other users are reporting similar issues.

We added a lazy-loading feature for your images, precisely, and you will need to clear your page and browser caches in order to properly render these improvements.

Hi Van, Yes I have cleared all caches. Turned on the wordpress theme, cleared cache, turned the Lobo Child theme back on again and still no images loading. I have just taken it back to the 2.6.3 version which has the images loading. https://www.krulldna.com/

We have seen this before, as you can see in other previous comments and it use to happen when a website has not been updated and maintained for a while. Notice how important these changes at a code level are and how browsers a cache plugins handle the markup.

Also, possibly, you have also updated a bunch of plugins on this site update from you, and these newly updated add-ons must be considered as well as a point of failure, not to talk about their configuration, for example in terms of features that could collide with the theme. Something you should review is if you have some plugin that handles lazy loading on your site, if you already have a plugin for this purpose, this will conflict with the new option provided by the theme. These are the only reasons because you could experience this scenario.

As you can see, if the theme would have any related problem, we would have all of this comments area full of users reporting something like this, and as you can see, this is not the case. So the reasons behind must be reviewed directly from your site, your site’s configuration, and your site’s add-ons.

In case that you could need our assistance, do not hesitate to open a support ticket, always having into account that we cannot provide customization work or site debugging as part of our support tasks scope.

El autoplay para vídeos es un tema muy sensible en estos momentos. Las políticas de cada navegador en cuanto a esta opción varían mucho, pero en general, la reproducción automática de contenidos de vídeo está siendo controlada para evitar el consumo de datos innecesarios en dispositivos móviles y otros aspectos:

“web browsers are moving towards stricter autoplay policies in order to improve the user experience, minimize incentives to install ad blockers, and reduce data consumption on expensive and/or constrained networks. These changes are intended to give greater control of playback to users and to benefit publishers with legitimate use cases”

Así, podrás configurar el autoplay para vídeos contenidos en la hero, a los que podrías quitar la UI, pero que se reproducirán automáticamente cuando cumplan con los criterios de reproducción de cada navegador. Por otra parte, los vídeos ubicados en el contenido, no podrán configurarse en auto-reproducción.

Si necesitas asistencia para eliminar la interfaz del reproductor en la hero, simplemente abre un ticket de soporte y trataremos de ayudar con ello.

You should not have any problem when updating your site, this issue you are facing could happen because of many different reasons, being the most probably the one related with your hosting/server resources.

The first thing you should try on your server configuration is to increase your server resources. Are you working with a shared server? If this is the case, probably you will have very limited resources and you should increase them as a first approach to get this situation fixed out. For this, you should consider increasing these server parameters on your end. Make these changes in PHP Options to correct via your hosting panel or contact your hosting provider for them to increase these parameters:

max_execution_time 180
memory_limit 512M or your highest available
post_max_size 32M
upload_max_filesize 64M

Alternatively, if you have updated some other plugin at the same time you have updated the theme, it could be possible that some of these plugins could be generating the conflict. So let’s review this via as well. For you to check this out, you will need to access your installation via FTP and access to wp-content folder. Within this folder, you will see the ‘plugins’ folder. This is where WordPress stores all plugins installed on your website. Right-click on the plugins folder and select ‘Rename’. Change the name of the plugins folder to anything else, for example, ‘plugins.off’. Once you do this, all of your plugins will be deactivated and you can try again to access your website. If you can access back your installation, you will need to review your plugin’s list in order to find the one that could be generating the conflict.

The first detail to have into account when updating your website and you have done some modification is to make sure that you have properly done these modifications in some of the standards and recommended ways with WordPress.

If you only need to add some custom CSS you should add all these custom rules within Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS. All the custom code placed here will remain even if you update your website. Just in case you need to do more advanced modification to your website, by for example modifying structural elements or to generate new custom HTML, you should consider enabling your child-theme. If done, all the modifications here will remain as well when you will update the theme.

If you have done your modification directly in the theme’s code files, you must know that this should never be done because when you will update your theme all these modifications will be overwritten by the theme’s update and you will lose them all. Because of this, it is very important to follow the standard methods that WordPress provides when customizing your website.

With this in mind, if you want to work with the market plugin, you will need to install the plugin and to follow the plugin’s guidelines (screenshot). The process is pretty straightforward and well guided, but in case you could have any queries or doubts, just let us know and we’ll try to help with it.

Thanks Van. At this stage I’ve only made changes through the theme options. I haven’t got to CSS/PHP yet. But I’m using a child theme so will edit that instead. I wasn’t sure if ftping the Lobo files would kill all the Theme option changes, but I guess that’s all stored in the DB. So it was fine after the update.

Exactly, if you make the modifications over the child-theme or using the theme options (Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS), all your custom code won’t be overwritten by updates. Updates only contain changes in the theme files, but all your settings are stored to a database level and your child-theme is placed in a totally different folder, so everything is safe when updating your website.

I’m not sure if you are referring to the bottom social menu or the main menu button, in case, if you want to remove the first element, you just need to leave the related option empty via Appearance > Customize > Footer > Footer social area (screenshot).

If you would like to remove the menu button (menu hamburger), you just need to add this custom CSS to your custom styles (Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS):

.compact-menu .menu-firer { display: none;  }
