After adding WPML in the website, the loading time increased dramatically. I am using WPML is hundreds of other websites with other themes and that is not the case.
Any idea why’s that and how we can overcome the issue? I saw other comments like this here but i did not see any solution (perhaps i missed it).
When i use a cache plugin (like WP Rocket), the availability (booking, airbnb, ical etc) is not instantly synchronized and this causes issues. Can we exclude this functionality when using a cache plguin?

Hi George, This issue with WPML and speed is known online and it’s not related to our theme specifically – https://prnt.sc/so2nav I understand you use WPML with other themes, but we use WPMl to their instructions as well.
I don’t know what is cached: crons or database. I know they can exclude cookies but I don’t know if they can exclude other elements either. So I cannot help with this question.
For Speed with WPML you can ask WPML to check and advise what recommendations (besides using register string translation only when you need to manually do edits, but I know they already do this by default now)

Hello, I’m trying to translate the words of the calendar (like the “select and drag…” or even “to”, but I’m not being able to do so. We already translated all the core functionalities as well as the child theme, but calendar words are not included in non of them. Could you, please, help us to identify where we can translate the calendar?

The calendar translations sync with this option – which load translations from https://prnt.sc/so1mfj which loads translations provided with the calendar script that come from this folder wprentals/js/i18n/ I am not sure if I can help here further. Hi, we’ve purchased your template to sync it with our PMS and booking engine, but now I’m not sure if it’s possible. Can we use your template just as cms and push the listings from PMS and install the booking widget from our provider?
Hello rentlikehome , Thank you for the comment and for buying the theme. I am afraid we don’t have a way to export properties to a 3rd party or to import from a 3rd party. Some clients have contacted WP ALL IMPORT for the import solution through CVS, but I cannot know if it will work with this 3rd party as well.
I assume with custom development you may be able to create the solution to import / export, but you would have to contact a developer with experience for such a project.
The widget from your provider may work if they provide you a wordpress solution. Widgets are supported in our theme, including HTML / TEXT widgets from wordpress exists to incorporate iframe style code. But you would have to confirm with the source of the widget how to add it to a wordpress based theme.

I can see that there is an option to make an property bookable either by day or by hour, however is it possible to make a property have both the options of day or hour combined and if that is not possible, are you able to custom build that for me.

1. We don’t have support for such specific plugins. We have support for sidebar / widgets and you can place html widgets on sidebars. This may work for ads
2. You can change order of widgets and you can select sidebar left or right as position.
3. We have spanish po files which you can edit with loco translate further

Hi poppeto, Default country is used independent from Algolia or Google.
If you wish to limit what addresses are returned in Algolia, you have to change in code. 1. WPRentals can be used for multi owners or single (specific owners). If you allow it as admin, people register to add listings for rent and users register to send booking requests to property owners, similar to airbnb or homeaway.
The theme is designed for users to book properties between each other, and admin not to interfere (we have different options as you can see in demo) The booking requires users register so as admin you have access to see who booked what, but you don’t need to interfere in the booking approval process (bookings can be approved by owner only – with his manual approval, if he doesn’t enable instant booking or with his approval, if instant booking is disabled).
Property owner manages property calendar and user booking requests.
2. If you need 2 or more languages at the same time, only a multi-language plugin can do that and yes, we’re WPMl ready. So you can use their languages. Please keep in mind that WPML is a multilanguage plugin which is paid. Must be installed and used separately from the theme. It requires admin translates everything manually from wp-admin.
Also, the support for the plugin is normally done by WPML as the support code is based on their documentation and instructions. They tested the theme before confirming it is WPML ready. If there are settings we know of how to translate, we help without issues. But if there are problems, these have to be fwd-ed to WPML plugin support.
3. We don’t have custom development services available at the moment.
4. It’s a too general question. We have the theme end code optimized to hold properties / content and we have some tips here too https://help.wprentals.org/article/speed-tips/ But for traffic, it depends on hosting end and I couldn’t answer this. Only a hosting company can advise how they manage traffic and what are the limits.

Hi, I don’t know which API version supports just these 3 fields. We can only use 1 api and we use the latest version and what we can work with for all our options (recurring with membership needs specific Api)
Perhaps Woo can do what you wish with their supported merchants, but without knowing which is this API version from PayPal, I cannot check further to answer you.

Hi. What’s your showing me is Classic API and still needs email address to work Copying just those 3 credentials is not enough. And Woo can support that if you wish for deposit payment and paid submission.
By the way, we had that 5 years ago when we launched the theme. We upgraded to REST api as clients want to use CC through Paypal on checkout, which Rest API can support for more countries. You still needed business paypal for classic api to process payments when the classic API was installed.

Is it possible to have guests check in only on specific days of the week: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday for example? I see there is an option to select one of those days but not multiple?

Money goes to Admin always.

Hi George, I am not sure as this connects to WPMl translation. Perhaps you’re using String https://wpml.org/forums/topic/extreme-memory-usage-string-translation/ and it’s known to consume resources. I think it’s best to show this to WPML support to advise what settings you could do to avoid this as they have the management of the WPML done by their team. Thank you
