We currently use Basel on one of our e-commerce sites, and are looking to purchase it for use on a second site. One crucial thing that we cannot get past is the lack of a fixed/visible search bar on mobile devices. Is this possible with any of the header layouts?
The closest option I can see is to have the search icon showing, or have it combined into the side menu. Is it possible to have it visible at the top of the mobile screen, open?

Yes, it is the only one available option for the search on mobile device for our Basel theme at the moment. The search form is displayed in the mobile menu sidebar only.

Dear Author, The theme is very good. I am testing this theme for a gems and stone store. I found one thing missing. I category page widget for the page where all the products are listing of a category. Right now the shop, category and product page useing the same set of widget. Is it possible to separate this?

sorry for delay. https://www.gemsndiamond.com/shop/ on this page you will Filter by Carat widget. This widget is not required here as it is only useful on product listing page.

This is correct as both are required here.is it possible to show Filter by carat as slider? Reason for this… If I have 1000 stones in a single category, its rare that two different stone will have same weight. In range we can define start and end point and system will fetch all the stones between the defined range from current category.
The weight by carat is created using custom attribute plugin where i can enter numeric value in a text box.
In some other theme purchased by client, shop level widgets and product category level widgets are separate.

Hi, the would the debit/credit card setup be something i would have to incorporate into the website for the money to go to my account? Can prompt screens be added when someone visits the website asking if you are a new or returning customer? Is there an option where a customer can choose an item and customize it?

All these functions come with WooCommerce plugin and not related to our theme. We suggest you to install the plugin first and check if it works well for you.

When I try to update, I get the following error:

Try to do the following to update the theme:
1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.
2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.
4. Try to update the theme via Appearance -> Themes or via Dashboard -> Updates.
If it will not help, please, do first two steps and send us your admin and purchase code via the contact form on our profile page.

WoodMart is more advanced in terms of customizations. It has such features as header builder and CSS generator. Basel is a simpler one but at the same time nice looking and well-optimized also.

On the shop page why does side widget with categories disappear when I add a full width banner image in revolution slider.

Shop page sidebar is not the same level as the content so when you place the full width slider it overlaps the sidebar. It is a WooCommerce layout and our theme doesn’t influence it. We suggest you to not place full width elements there if you want to have a sidebar.

is it possible to add one click scrolls to the page sections? On my home page, i have 3 full height/width page sections that i would like to scroll through using one click per section. Does that make sense? When the user scrolls down once, the screen automatically jumps to the next sections.

You have enabled redirect to the shopping cart after add to cart action. Try to disable it in WooCommerce Settings and check how it works.

We’ve been actively using it recently & it seems that we’ve found a bug.

Odd Question for an Ecomm theme I know.. but have to ask. Is it possible to have all product details, photos, product pages etc remain in tact but remove the purchase button from each product listing? We are not ready to actually sell online yet but want our customers to see the products we have.

Hi, I think I may have found a bug with the theme. I tried to add my own “My Account” link to the mobile menu. However, after logging in, I checked the menu again and the “My Account” and “Logout” links were automatically appended to the bottom of the menu. So now the “My Account” menu item is a duplicate.
