Friendly suggestions: For your full-page navigation you should implement a “full-page-scroll” option. That is the reason why – and what you expect – when using full-height rows. You expect, like horizontal scrolls, to drag (click) a page, and swap page. For now you just have the normal “infinite” scroll, which is not optimal for full-screen rows. (I know you offer side-menu-navigation, but that is not what I am requesting).
Also, you should strongly consider adding horizontal scroll/ navigation to your theme. You have ONEHUNDREDTHOUSANDFIVETHOUSANDSEVENHUNDREDANDANDSEVENTY sales, and same number of happy customers if you apply the horizontal scroll/ carousel for rows and columns. There is only ONE single plug-in on CodeCanyon offering this (which does’t do the job well), but should be done and added quite easily, I presume… I have seen more customers requesting this here, and also on your support-page.

Hey brianlichty, to make that modification as of now would require an addition to the function “nectar_page_header” which is located at salient/nectar/helpers/page-header.php
Once in the function, you can run a search for the text// Blog Archives
to end up at the relevant section.

Enable WooCommerce Cart In Nav is giving weird results. It’s not showing up inline with the social icons. Instead, the glyph is showing up on the left of the full width header nav underneath the logo and the badge (items in cart) is showing up on the far right below the social icons. This hasn’t happened on any other Salient/WC sites I’ve done. Salient 12.1.0 on WP 5.4.1. Doesn’t matter which header layout I use, doesn’t matter if social icons are in header or not. I inspected the element for any style overrides and there are none that are mine. I am stumped. Anyone else seen this behavior?

Are you using a child theme? If so, it could possibly be occurring due to outdated child template overrides. If not, kindly share your URL so that I can take a look.

If you’re trying to change the font color for the default header state (non-transparent), you can use the color pickers in the Salient options > header navigation > general styling tab at the bottom. Ensure that you have “custom” selected for the “header color scheme” above the color pickers. If you’re instead trying to alter the color used when the header is in the transparent state, you can find the relevant color pickers in the Salient options > header navigation > transparent header effect tab towards the bottom.

1. That appears to be occurring due to the body border + secondary header navigation. You can correct that, add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

2. That is the default location. To alter the order, you can use the following:

Hi, sorry I wasn’t specific enough.
My problem is that on mobile phones, when you scroll down one of the “filters” lists, they go under the images produced. So I don’t want to change the location of the filter list and leave it before the products.

How can I edit category pages in my theme? I don’t want category pages to have a sidebar, but the main blog index should have a sidebar.

Since the archive pages are set up to inherit from the main blog styling, you would need to either modify the salient/index.php in a child theme or use the following CSS:

Taking a deeper look at your setup, it’s most likely related to the plugin you have active called “Flexible Checkout Fields” Apparently, there was a recent security exploit: https://www.wpdesk.net/blog/flexible-checkout-fields-vulnerability/ Please update or remove that plugin after reading through the article

We use your theme for two separate websites and have noticed the site has slowed down recently – both front and admin section. It’s take a lot longer to react and load – our hosting is one of the best and having no issue with other sites.

I have WP Rocket activated on the website and have activated as much caching as the theme will allow me. For example, if I click ‘minify CSS files, it causes some issues with the design. Maybe you could take a look when I email you my logins?
Or do you reckon W3 Total is a better plugin and is more compatible?

It looks like that’s occurring due to third party lazy loading functionality which you have enabled in the setup. The single product pages would either need to be excluded, or CSS would be needed to set the height of the slider:

The mobile lightbox view is triggered by the magnifying glass icon, which normally renders in the top right of the image. It looks like you’re also removing that with custom CSS:

Hey! I have a problem. For several weeks now I have been debugging why the page has become slow. Even admin is slow. Now I have come to the conclusion that the theme is slowing down the page. As soon as I activated another theme, the admin and the page became fast. The theme has been very fast. Have you done anything?
The home page is quite fast still, it is when you access some posts that the page is slow. Not all posts are slow. And nordigt.se/wp-admin is very slow.

Can you provide the URL of a post which you are seeing loading slower than other posts? I’m not noticing any difference between the few I’ve tried to navigate between.

Hello and thanks for reply. So I google a lot of this, where should I add my custom post type so visual composer can get output of it? I am not a php dev, but I’m trying my best to find a solution for this.
Moreover like I said earlier I don’t understand why if I click to view project category it display perfectly and if I go to visual composer select portfolio and that category only then it won’t show anything…:( I suppose I need to get terms my custom post type right? Many thanks again

The portfolio element on the front-end will only be querying the actual portfolio post type. You would need to modify the “nectar_portfolio_processing” function, which is located in the salient-portfolio/includes/frontend/shortcode.php file

Hey again, hope you can help me with a strange issue. So everything is working perfect but I can’t order as the custom post type as I wanted. I’m using a module to arrange on back-end the custom post type posts. But the portfolio module from visual composer is still sets them to order by date. Any advice on how to overwrite this? This is strange behavior because on default portfolio custom order is working….:(

Salient offers a “Video Player” page builder element which can display Vimeo embeds like that. You can make it stretch the full width of the screen by editing the row you place the element in to be the type of “Full Width Content”.

Hi themenectar, we are nearly done with the site, however, i have bought Quform and it is just conflicting everywhere. The css is not behaving on our contact page, even in the backend when going through their menu, the hover doesn’t show the text as it should, very wierd.
When we apply a style of theme change, some of Quforms entries change and others don’t.
I looked at the css, looks like your container wrap is overriding any other 3rd party input
I know you guys only ever answer when i am asleep, timezone thing, so if it has changed by then please ignore my comment, i must have obviously fixed it.
I have figured it out, your skins don’t let 3rd party forms work. Only the “ORIGINAL” salient skin works. Ascend and Material overwrite any other input. This is such a shame as i really like the ascend skin….Please see what you guys can do to fix this.

1. The Ascend skin uses transparent input fields – altering that would require using custom CSS. Salient will also alter the coloring of inputs when the parent row is set to “light” for the text color. Here’s an example CSS snippet for alerting that:

2. The coloring used when the header navigation is in its transparent state is separate from the regular color scheme. You can alter the starting color in the Salient options panel > header navigation > transparent header effect tab. However, it is not possible to alter the underline coloring separately from the text color in that state.
3. The preview image is only displayed when the video background can not play – the wording of the description needs to be updated since previously, mobile video playback was not possible. You can force it to show at all times with the following snippet:

If you use the new style, “Vertical sticky scrolling” it would be possible. Since that tabbed style doesn’t hide tabs, you could simply add an ID to one of the rows in a given tab and then link to that anchor from your menu.
