I have a client who wants me to take over their site and they currently have Salient 4.1.1. Will purchasing the theme and update to your latest version cause any issues?

I manage many sites and found that after the 5.5 update yesterday that the Salient version of WPBakery (not the regular WPBakery version) is incompatible with other plugins. Do you plan to update this soon?

We have a question on the nectar-view-indicator. We also want this div to be visible and following the mouse cursor on pages where no elements from wpbakery using that nectar-view-indicator are present.
We added the jquery to our child theme; if(jQuery(”.nectar-view-indicator”).length > 0 ){ //if VIEW INDICATOR exists } else{ //IF NOT EXISTS append to body jQuery(‘body’).append(‘ TEXT ‘); } And can make it show, but how can we add code to our child theme so that it will follow the mouse cursor as you do on the init.js? Which code do we need to add?

You would need to copy the “NectarIconMouseFollow” function and all its prototype methods from salient/js/init.js into your child. The function is around line 225 (depending on your version).
The code would need to be modified slightly in the “mouseBind” method to make it always visible rather than only when an element is hovered over. After copying the function in your child, you can initialize it with
var generalMouseFollow = new NectarIconMouseFollow('','view-indicator');
Hi after the latest update to 12.1.1 and Salient WPBakery Page Builder to 6.2.0 my WPBakery Page Builder widget in the page / post editor is separate to where my existing content is. This means i have to use the classic editor to edit the shortcodes. Theres also no option in the post editors WPBakery Page Builder widget to select classic editor. Whats going on? Is this intentional? Seems like a bug, please let me know how to resolve this ASAP.

We released a minor compatibility update a few days ago (12.1.1). However, it appears that many third party plugins are having issues with 5.5 – namely those that extend on WPBakery. Those plugin developers will likely release updates shortly.

Hello! yes, i know that is still available to import but, i was wondering where did this demo go. it is true that it is not recent but it is still very actual, if you want my opinion. and to be honest, I bought myself another license while digging through your demos, just before it disappeared.

We are testing Salient on a RTL website. In WPBakery when we set the type of row to “Full Width Background”, everything is ok but when we change it to “Full Width Content”, The created row does not appear in full screen and a blank white space is shown on the right side of that row.

Since there’s currently no known issue with RTL and full width rows, can you please share a staging URL so I can inspect the issue? Please also confirm that you’re using a recent version of Salient (12+).

As you can see in the picture we are testing Salient on localhost, Therefore, it is not possible for us to provide links. But I must mention that we have installed Salient on Persian WordPress. Could this problem be due to the incompatibility of Salint with Persian WordPress?
PS. Yes, we are using the latest version of Salient (12.1.1 )

Using google fonts locally would require the use of font face or a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/use-any-font/
When using that plugin, you can upload custom fonts and select them normally as you would via the theme typography options.

1. Yes, you can use the “recent posts” or “post grid” page builder elements for this. When adding one of those to your page, you can select the desired category and then limit the number of posts display to 1: https://ibb.co/S71fB9p

I’m using Gradient Tabbed Section (salient template) and have about 7 tabs which looks fine on desktop but on mobile, the tabs stack vertically so when I click on another tab, I can’t see the tab’s content until I scroll all the way down. First time visitors won’t even notice the tab changed because it’s buried down the page. What’s the best recommendation for handling UI/UX for mobile when it comes to tabs? Is there a way to make the screen scroll down to the opened tab contents when it’s clicked? Thanks!

Are you loading other font families via the typography tab? If so, the best option for page speed would be to set that option to “do not load default font” and only make use of the other font families you’ve selected.

Please verify that your cart page is assigned through WooCommerce correctly. You can check in the WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced tab at the “Cart page field”.
