Hello,
I am using this template and I have noticed that some elements (icons) are not properly displayed in Android phones (iphone perfect as well as desktop). For example, the hamburger menu icon, in Android is shown as an “a” (and not the icon). Also the social icons (in my case Instagram) are not shown in Android, instead of the icon, an X is shown.
If you need screenshots to understand better, please let me know how I can send them to you.
Please, help me with this, as I’m using this template for a client.

hi, i updated to theme version 1.5 and my portfolio slider is empty not showing anything. we selected 10 portfolio items and now they are gone. if i remove width=100% from img tag of a single slider item the images are shown but all below eachother not horizontal. is this a known issue? how can i fix that?

Please note that for our demo site, we haven’t done specific site speed optimization because the main accent was put on showing all the features and elements from the theme, as well as keeping the highest quality of the photos. There are many ways and tricks for improving WordPress site speed ñ so-called speed optimization. A balance between size and quality is necessary. A good hosting server is also very important for the site´s performance. We always give advises to our users in support tickets when they build a site in our theme, what steps they should take in order to improve the speed. Google also offers PageSpeed Insights for detailed performance testing, though some people from the programming community say that this tool is not as accurate when it comes to analysing and assessing website performance.

Hi mate, thanks for the quick response. Sorry, that wasn’t specific. Yeah on the main page, but that one below the header. Looks like it doesn’t exist in Slider Revolution, but I can edit a slider section above through the WP Bakery Page Builder of the page, however, it doesn’t show any options like changing the text on the left block nor the sliding images. Maybe I’m just blind

We do, on the homepage, use portfolio Stack Slider shortcode which has an option to choose portfolio items that will be shown on the page. So the portfolio items you choose will showcase the Portfolio single item info on the Slider, meaning the Title that is on Portfolio single page will be shown on the Portfolio Slider alongside with the featured image.
You do as well have Slider Revolution included as a bundled plugin and you can create your own Slides, adding images and content to suit your needs.

unfortunately, it doesn’t have this one Stack Slider on Dessau Portfolio section.
I’d really love to reuse and reconfigure Stack Slider rather than messing with Slider Revolution tbh

If you set your Portfolio single to have custom type, you can add the Stack slider. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jgyl1notb7j8vc5/Screenshot%202020-08-27%20at%2012.39.57.png?dl=0 but the purpose of the stack Slider is to show portfolio items, you can not simply select images that will be shown, rather you will have to create a portfolio category with featured images and text you wish to be present and choose this category to be displayed.

Hi there! I cannot access your support page so I will comment here: A couple of questions – 1. I always aim to make sure I have the best possible alt text in my website for accessibility purposes, but I have noticed both the logo when set, and multiple assets including banner images etc do not have alt text input areas? Many image html tags don’t use the alt tags set in wordpress, they just use things like “dark logo,” and “Image Alt”- are you going to update this or how can I fix this? 2. WPBakery is asking for a license key, do I just use the one I received when I bought your theme? I was under the impression we received the full version with Dessau. Let me know. Thank you!

This is a specific Slider for portfolio items used on a homepage. You can for sure use RevSlider for this purpose and you will not have the white box visible or you can try to remove the box with some custom CSS.

Hello. I am trying to install theme, but wordpress says : “Your theme (Dessau) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:
Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version. If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.”
Please advise how do I get an updated theme copy.

Please note that due to safety measures related to COVID-19 the updating of our themes is a bit delayed but please note that we are working really hard on this and that we are constantly working on updating all our themes, however, we can say that the theme is compatible with the latest version of WordPress as well as it is compatible with the latest WooCommerce as well. You will get this message though but it will not affect the performance of the theme as well as it will be added in the theme’s changelog once the update is out.
At the moment we don’t have any ETA when this update will come out. You will for sure be notified when the theme update is out.
