If you’re referring to the sidebar widgets, you can reorder/configure them as needed in the WordPress Admin > Appearance > Widgets section.

Here is what happens : wheni am in the editing side of the website, the link functions well. As soon as i get on the public side, the link brings me to the top of the page. Could it be a PHP issue ? I checked and it seems that my wordpress dashboard is all right. Do you think i should contact the host?
in fact it is only a button with a link that brings me back to the top of the page. A link inserted within the text functions properly.

http://intrepidconsulting.net/ (scroll down to Recent Posts)I’m using the new ‘interactive recent post grid’ and i’m trying to have it when you hover over a post title, the image that appears to be larger, or full image size.
I’ve changed the image size settings inside that element but it doesn’t seem to change the image size! Tried to figure this one out on my own by inspecting, but it seems to be javascript stuff and that’s beyond my skill lvl. Really appreciate your help!!

Glad you found a solution – if you’d like to resize that style’s image, you can add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

Quick question, on my website (https://www.dev-evermaven.com/cmp/members/) I am trying to have the menu appear full width when using the Menu Left Aligned however it appears to be restricted to the width of a container.
Can you please point me in the right direction to make the menu appear full width? Many thanks.

It’s being constrained by some custom CSS you have:

If you remove that, or alter the first selector to not apply to every container, it should display full width.

The blog featured images in the recent posts section are showing up in all kinds of sizes, they don’t appear to be set to ‘cover’, there don’t appear to be any options to alter that. Can anything be done to change this?

i have created a Nectar slider on the main page. I would like to make it fullscreen.
The row are set like this: Type: full width content Fullscreen Row Position: full height
The Slider is set like this: Slider Height: nothing
unfortunately it doesn’t work. I have tried several options.. Thanks for your help.

Change the parent row type to be “full width background” and then edit the nectar slider to use the two options: “Display Full Width” and “Fullscreen Slider”. That should provide you the display you’re looking for – if not, please share your URL in regards.

I tried with the .po file and with the plugin say what. I use Child theme and change it to the Salient theme. The file is changed in booth folders.

Just a suggestion for maybe the next update (unless you can tell me how to change it now ) is for the ‘toggle panels’ feature. On your demo page http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-promo/toggle-panels/ the 1st and 2nd examples I like because they are more modern with their movement But when you click into a 2nd or 3rd or 4th faq the animation moves the content of the page UP, which actually moves your viewport Out of view of the content inside the toggle – so you can’t see it. Whereas if the animation moved the content Down, then the content that you reveal by clicking would actually be seen without having to scroll down. Cheers.
Hey SiteTonight, you can still prevent the default browser behavior of scrolling by not using the “Accordion Toggles” option. By keeping that disabled, open toggles won’t close when clicking on another toggle.

Hi there, we have salient version 4.9 and would like to upgrade to the current version because the nectar slider has broken. Is there an upgrade path we would need to follow to get the latest version so the existing content (built with visual composer) doesn’t break or will upgrading break everything? Thank you

As long as you don’t have many template/function modifications in a child theme, you should still be able to update relatively easily. Because you’re using a very old release of the theme, take a look through this guide on major changes when updating: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/important-salient-update-for-new-envato-requirements/
For your case, just ensure that you deactivate the Visual Composer pluign before installing the latest version + Salient plugins. The name of the page builder has changed (now named Salient WPBakery page builder) and two instances of that page builder can’t be active at the same time
Can I create I LINK aswell as the tooltip with the “Image With Hotspots Allows you to place hotspots on top of an image that show tooltips when hovered/clicked.”

In order to do that, you will still need to have the Salient version of WPBakery active as well as the Salient core. Note that the styling for Salient specific elements will change without Salient active as your theme.

Yes sure, with other username! But I saw that I can download the latest version directly from Envato: well done.
Last question: On a stable site that has your old theme, how can I install the new version without problems? Do I go to the “Themes” backend, delete the old and install the new? And I just export / import the json file to copy / paste and get everything working again?

There’s no need to re-import the theme options after installing the new version, as they will persist. Just ensure that the old “Salient visual composer” plugin is deleted prior to installing the new version, and make a backup first for peace of mind.

Make sure you’re uploading the actual theme .zip and not the bundled .zip from Envato – see here in regards: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/202821510-Theme-is-missing-the-style-css-stylesheet-error
Once you’ve updated with that, also update the included Salient plugins and you should be good

The only problem I point out is that only the widgets have been lost, during the theme’s upgrade! Is it normal?

1. The widgets should have only been moved to the inactive section is the theme was deleted via the WordPress admin panel instead of through FTP or if you didn’t upload the new version and make use of the feature “replace current with updated“

Before purchase I only want to know why your theme doesn’t pass the Google Core Web Vitals Test when running the Google PageSpeed Insights (https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights ), as this would negatively impact SEO.

Hey Cofisd, I just verified that the mobile breakpoint is taking effect at 1290px on your site. If you open the browser developer tools and drag resize your window, you’ll see the current screen dimensions output on the top corner of the screen to check.
I also tested on two mobile devices and have been able to open submenus in the mobile menu. Please list the device and OS version where the submenus are inaccessible

The transparent header shadow will only apply to the default (not dark) transparent header. On your URL, only the dark transparent header is in effect. You can add the shadow to that with the following CSS:

You could either adjust the previous snippet I provided to have a larger number for the top padding, or reverse the order of the buttons “Register as ICG Employee” and “Register”, as there would be enough room for the larger button on top when in the mobile view.
