Dear Support, I added a search-inventory to a page. Unfortunately the Min-Max Values for the price-field (I added a price-field in the options) are not shown. There is only a “No options” in the drop-down. What am I doing wrong?

Hello, we just purchased this theme. But we are stuck with the installation. We downloaded the Zip and tried to upload. Everytime it starts the upload at the end when it should finish it says “Error uploading theme – your link has expired”

Hello, I’m having a problem when I try translating the Logout label (from second navbar) and Send to a friend (from single listing page).
The [automotive_wp]toolbar_logout string name is missing from WPML String Translation but [automotive_wp]toolbar_login is there and it works.
Thanks for letting us know, it looks like the Logout label didn’t have a string in the WPML config so we will get that added in the next update. The Send to Friend seems to be there, I would suggest you make sure you are using the latest version, and if that doesn’t sort it out please open a Support Ticket including your website login details so we can have a look at why that isn’t working for you. Hello, i have two presale questions regarding your theme.
1 – is it possible for the client to upload pictures of his used vehicle In the trade-in form in the car details page? If not , is there any custom way to do it?
2 – It is also possible to have another tab-form in the car details page ( even if it could replace an already existing one ) in which the client will be called to “buy” or to “apply for a loan for it” and in that form to be able to upload documents required for that?

1 – The prebuilt form we include doesn’t have an upload / file attachment set in it, however you can just build a custom form to your likely in Contact Form 7 and then override the default form by inserting the shortcode for your new form under Listing Options >> Custom Forms >> Trade-In Appraisal Form
2 – Yes, you can change the existing tabs under Listing Options >> Single Listing Page >> Content Tabs and change one to Buy, Apply, etc. Alternatively you could also add an Buy / Apply button in the right column using Appearance >> Widgets, or if you want to do some more advanced customization you can edit the appropriate template file and place it into the auto_templates folder of your child theme (so your customizations will not get overwritten in a theme or plugin update): https://support.themesuite.com/kb/faq.php?id=9

Having a difficult time uploading this theme. Downloaded the Wordpress Install File only. Downloaded the Zip and try to upload. Everytime it starts the upload then at the end when it should finish it says “Error uploading theme”

Hmmm strange, are you getting any errors in your error_log? Would you be able to open up a Support Ticket with temporary wp-admin and FTP login so we can investigate?

Hi Louisa – Thanks for you interest in our products. It is a one-time payment that includes a lifetime license for the product and also includes updates for the life of the product. It only includes 6 months of support assistance for any issues you may run into, you have the option to renew this at any time should you need help outside of the 6 months.
Automotive Theme Updates not working. It takes me to the “Verify your purchase under Theme Options >> Update Settings”. Asks me to log-in and then go into same loop over and over again.
It sounds like you are using a very old version that was still running Envato’s former API system. Due to this you will need to download it manually off of ThemeForest (under the ‘Downloads’ section of your account) and then manually update the theme and Automotive Listings plugin and then reconnect your account to Envato’s new OAUTH system under Theme Options >> Update Settings and you will be all set for automatic updates going forward.
How to export and import Listing Categories… with all values?

I exported all listings from Tools>export. And to import I imported via “Tools->import (there wordpress importer was not installed, I installed) Imported data.. Listing are imported but their categories are not imported.. And none of the categories are visible under Listing Categories.. How to import those too?
The Listing Categories are stored separately from the wp post data and that doesn’t get exported in the listing posts. The only way to really get that would be to copy the listing_categories value from the database, just keep in mind that would overwrite existing values. We do have an Automatic Exporter plugin that will export listings and pictures, however it sounds like you are doing some sort of backup and restore, and for something like that you would likely be better making a copy of the website files and database. Well.. this is a kind of backup and restore. actually i’m cleaning website for a fresh publish.. It seems there are a lot of un-necessary stuff. But I would only want to export selective data purely related to car listings. . Not fully..
Secondly.. And where can i get that plugin for Automatic Exporter?
Thirdly .. The FiLE importer.. a copy of XML you guys have attached in sample files.. can be prepared and imported. but how can we export our listings into that xml format … (is it this plugin you are talking about)?

Regarding the technical support I apologize for the confusion, you are correct you need to have active support with ThemeForest in order to have support. It’s unfortunately not a sustainable business model to work for free.

I’ve been having an issue with a plugin and it’s apparently because of an issue with this theme. The plugin developer installed the theme fresh and only his plugin to find that Woocommerce templates are not implemented properly.
“It looks like your theme is wrongly implementing WooCommerce templates. They’re performing WooCommerce’s hook “woocommerce_before_add_to_cart_button” twice. Perhaps you can contact the theme authors to ask what’s going on.”
What are the file locations? There are 2 instances of that hook name in our theme, however it is just single one call (depending on the template call whether a product is simple or variable). Can you provide any further information that would indicate otherwise?

Where can I add the reply tag?
I dont see the Contact 7 form in the theme?
So when we receive an enquiry from the contact form and reply to it then it sends back to me because I use my email to send out? This should be sent out to the sender rather.

This was a bug in the Contact Form 7 plugin in version 5.2.x. Please update Contact Form 7 to version 5.3+ and that will fix the problem.

Nope, it also doesn’t work, try to create a new contact form (not duplicate the ones that you already have ), and you will see that the only options that appear in the email tab are:
“your-name” “your-email” “your-subject” “your-message” ... nothing more.
I just tried several versions: v5.3, v5.2.x, v5.1.x, v5.0x and v4.9.x
We have not been able to replicate this with Contact Form 7 v5.3, Automotive Listings v16.5, and WordPress v5.5.1:
Our plugin uses javascript to inject those tags into that spot so check to see if you have any errors in your console that may be affecting them from appearing.
Sorry but it’s not true, we just did a fresh install (Wordpress 5.5.3 – automotive theme v11.9.6 ) and only automotive v16.5, wpbakery v6.4.1 and contact form 7 v5.3 plugins).
When we try to add a new contact form, those tags are not injected (only the gray ones appear, which are the default tags “name, email, subject, message).
I repeat you, try to add a new contact form from the “add new” button (not use one that you already have or duplicate it) and you’ll see.
The console does not have any errors.
You will not have reports from other users because new contact forms are rarely created once you already have them.
After many tests, we were able to inject the tags, but doing a mail test does not work well (any tag injected by the automotive plugin appears like so “[_name of tag]” in the body of the received message without recognizing the Web data).
If you look at the screenshot we had placed above you will see the title Add Contact Form, we also were creating new contact forms as well when we were testing.
What test fixed the tags being injected? If you want renew your support and open a Support Ticket we would be happy to debug the problem on your site for you, but we are still unable to replicate the problem here, and we still have not had any other users report the issue.
HI, We purchased this theme a few years ago and got behind with updating it. I have a couple of questions.
1. Can we upgrade from version 8.5 to the current version 2. Is there a way that we can make sold vehicle show after any unsold vehicles or can we have the sold vehicles on a page of their own 3. If we create a subscribers form what is the best way for them to get an email when a new vehicle is added. Can this be done from within this theme or would we need a plugin that is compatible?

1. Yes you can, as with any upgrade we would recommend that you have a backup of your files and database prior to doing it in case you run into trouble.
2. Yes and Yes. You can push the sold listings to the bottom under Listing Options >> Inventory Page >> Sold Listings to End and you can also easily make a new page and set it to display sold listings only in the shortcode settings for the Inventory under Sold Listings Only.
3. We do include Mail Chimp integration for sending newsletters to subscribers, but as far as automatically emailing users new listings it would probably be best to use a plugin for something like this.

Hello, very nice looking theme might be i will order one. I have a question, I see in the theme have two “plugins” [Slider] and [Listing]. This price of $79 will include license for this plugin also or need to buy them separate? And the second i found bug, in demo when share a single listing car in facebook counter doesn’t count(share count), is this only bug live version? I didn’t check pinterest count and others. Thanks for your interest in our products! The $79 price includes the Automotive theme and the bundled plugins (Automotive Listings plugin, Slider Revolution plugin, WPBakery Page Builder plugin). We had a look at the Facebook bug and it appears that the Facebook service is temporarily down, the return coming back from Facebook says (#2) Service temporarily unavailable. We will keep an eye on this, but I suspect Facebook should have it back up and running shortly.
Hello, I acquired two licenses in the past (long time ago) – but with each new update, my DE-language files are completely wiped away? Is there a reason why after each update of the theme the theme and the listings plugin remove previous language files (which did not change!)? This is an annoying bug.
What is the path you are saving the translation files to?
wp-content/themes/automotive/languages (de_DE.mo and de_DE.po) and wp-content/plugins/automotive/languages/listings-de.mo and listings-de.po)
That is what your problem is, WordPress deletes the theme and plugin folders when it upgrades them. If you refer to the documentation you should be saving them under wp-content/languages/themes/ and wp-content/languages/plugins/. Please also note you may need to prefix the files with ‘automotive-’ e.g. ‘automotive-en_US’. Please refer to the documentation for more information. hi i have added 40 to 50 listing i want to buy another licence for new domain.my question is can i use these listing in new website and activate theme with new licence
Yes, just go to Theme Options >> Update Settings >> ThemeForest Automatic Updates and click the link that says Reset. Then you can duplicate your site on your new domain and reactivate your licenses on each domain name/site.
in this way my first domain data will remain save i mean i want to run 2 websites with same listing data with 2 licence

It is one of the best performing WordPress themes for listings, I’m not sure why you would experiencing a delay. It loads instantly for me here. Was it slow on the experience site test driving the admin panel, or on the demo site ?
