Shop functionality is achieved with WooCommerce plugin, and catalog mode isn’t available as a standard option. For it, you will need WooCommerce extension https://woocommerce.com/products/catalog-visibility-options/

Also you could consider to use some css if you want just to hide prices on products, for example, and the login widget does not need to be enabled, as you can remove it.

also revolution slider is asking for a license. do we have to purchase this separately? I cant find the key in the downloadable doc. no info on it in the documentation either…

When it comes to Slider Revolution, please note that it does come bundled within the theme and you do not need to activate any license for it as bundled plugins do get updated when the theme is.

Please understand that if you choose a custom portfolio type you will be able to build your portfolio layout the way you wish.

Also, by default, the WP Bakery Plugin is available for page editing only. However, you can use it to edit other post types (such as blog posts or portfolios) as well. To do so, navigate to WP Bakery Page Builder > Role Manager > Post Types, select Custom from the dropdown and mark all the checkboxes available there.
