Hello. I use Ark with many of my websites. It’s not working very well and it’s giving me problems in many of them.

I did some research and ask my hosting providers and 3 of them agree that the problem comes from the theme and Fresh Plugins (freshizer). They tell me that I should disavow the plugin, but, as it’s a core plugin, all my website crashes if I do it.

The plugin gets me in a 502 only on editor mode.

I’m sorry to see, that you struggle with the Ark theme. It’s very well tested and it works for tens of thousands of users, so in this case I would be inclined to finding the problem somewhere else – maybe on your hosting provider or in the way, how you set-up your images.

What is the Freshizer script basically doing – it resizes the images in your theme, to make them smaller. It also implements caching of the resized images, so they are not resized again and again.

Basically, there are few possibilities of what might be wrong:

1.) You are uploading a huge images (size in a few MB) and your server is not able to handle them.

2.) Your hosting provider has a problems in general – meaning that they are not able to handle image resizing

Also, what you can do, is to disable the Freshizer in WP Admin -> Ark -> Theme Options

Hi FreshFace, I have purchased your theme some time ago, I’m on the process of transfering all my customers from bakery, into elementor in the meantime I’ve found the Ark on my Themeforest downloads and can see that you have developed the Fresh Builder, the #1 pagebuilder. So my question is: All the demos are built with your new page builder? Or you still use the bakery (Visual Composer) page builder? I do like the look of your page builder and I’m willing to purchase a few more licences so I can adapt some of your demos and upgrade my customers from bakery. Thank you and best regards.

It’s been a few years since I purchased Ark but I keep it fully up to date on the one site I use it for. I am surprised I can’t seem to find any other comments relating to Slider Revolution and the known issue with saving in Wordpress 5.5 for Slider Rev versions below 6.2.18. Here is the notification from the warning link that comes up in WP dashboard: https://www.themepunch.com/faq/wordpress-5-5-important-update-information/

The Ark included version is still at 6.2.6 from May 2020 and a new version was not included in the September update. I have not updated Wordpress on this site, just waiting for an Ark update to include Slider Revolution 6.2.18 or above so I can still edit the sliders in the meantime. Is this going to be addressed in an update shortly?

Hey Tom, So as of today we have some backup files for the website prior to this occurrence. Would that be possible? and what is our next move then? Thanks Jogil

Hey Jogil, yes, you should locate the Post Content in the backup database. You then, can replace the new corrupted post content with the old, working one.

@ vitinhthanhphat, I know this type of defect. I never do updates like that, except with the downloaded kit .. be careful not to destroy your site ..

the update kit is safe and it cannot destroy your site. I would, though, recommend you to do the updates on a staging server and not on your production.

May I know, in single product page, I use WC – Single – Meta element, can I just show category or just show tags? thanks

This particular element is only as-is. But you could use HTML element and turn on the PHP mode in it. Then search for PHP code to display WC meta info you need and paste the code in there.

How can I manage tables in an advanced way? And how to add a tooltip on onhover or onclick?

I would recommend plugins, such as wpdatatables for example. Same for the tooltips, it’s possible wpdatatables already has them.

Hey, I have no longer access to the wordpress page and this shows up “Element Accordion 5 was saved incorrectly and it is corrupted. You need to delete this element and create it again. This happens with 1:100 000 chance, so co”. Could anyone be able to help me out. I was looking through the forum and there were some solutions but I wasn’t able to figure it out.

Hi, I’m downloading the latest files of the theme and they are still on version 1.48; I have to manually update the theme so could you please update the download files so I can download the latest 1.49 version. Thanks.

I am trying to change the content for footer and header. The Theme is not taking it. After 5min the original ark content shows up. Always when renewing the page or by updating another page.

I have also tried to make a support take, but it says, even though i have bought a new support license, that my license for support has expired.

i’ve tried this in the past and just changed the layout to avoid the glitch so it has happened on more than one domain and install now: I can’t embed two local video files on the same page without glitches. either both are on autoplay and one will never load, or if one is set to show controls, it shows the first video on the page rather than the one it was meant to. Please advise.

Hi Tom, are you back from holiday – will you be able to fix the issue today? my client is quite rightly p**d off. If I don’t get it sorted today I’ll have to make a complaint to Envato and look for a refund to buy another theme as it’s now been 2 weeks now :(

Yes, the communication is held in multiple threads, so it’s not easy for us to orientate in it.

Hello, we are working on it, there is some not good communication from the side of Envato.

The update is not that much significant, so the version 1.48 is still usable without any issues.

Hi Tom – his issue is now 2 weeks old and unfortunately as I haven’t heard back from you I haven’t many options left – if I don’t hear back today I’ll have to have a re-think about what to do. I’ve bought x6 licences of Ark which I’ve been really happy with but without a fix they’re now pretty useless and I’ll have to look for another solution. I do hope to hear back from you today.
