Hey manatee, instead of using the page header metabox to create the fullscreen video section, you can use the page builder. When editing a page builder row, you’ll find an option for “Full Height Row”. Using that in combination with a video background for the row should give you the desired layout without the arrow.

1. In the Salient options panel > header navigation tab, there’s an option for “Mobile Breakpoint”, which will allow you to define a custom width to activate the mobile header.

Sorry I should have been more clear but I am trying to use a Youtube video so I read the documentation which said it’s not possible. A workaround I did was, I used a youtube video downloader (mp4) then converted that on ezgif.com into a .gif file so it auto plays on mobile. I had to set the .gif as the background image and also had the video background turned on for the youtube url. Just updated for future reference if anyone wants a workaround.

Hey Alan,

That would require copying the single.php template file into your child theme to move the sections around. The function that creates the post navigation within that file is called “nectar_next_post_display”.

Great thanks for the quick reply. Question, I assume the theme will automatically pickup and start using the single.php file within the Child theme or is there something I need to add to make it read the Child theme php file or the parent? OR with the Child theme being active nothing needs to be done.

It would be easiest to just use CSS to override that template than to modify the functions needed to trigger the theme option via a child. Here’s some starting example CSS you can into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab:

2. On the nos partenaires page, the links are being blocked by the CSS margins applied to the row with the text “Nos partenaires”. It looks like you have -33% top margin and -30% bottom margin on that column. You’ll need to remove that and simply move the text above the logos within the page builder structure. When the option “Disable Transparency From Navigation” is on the option “Transparent Header Navigation Color” is not used, as the header navigation is not in a transparent state. Are you trying to remove the transparent effect on all blog pages or enable it and force the transparent coloring to be dark?

In either case, a modification would be required from a child theme to override the functions which control that logic. The function which determines if the transparent effect should be used is called “nectar_using_page_header” in salient/nectar/helpers/page-header.php

You would need to copy the entire function named “nectar_using_page_header” from the file I mentioned into your child theme functions.php file, and then create a conditional above the end return.

return $the_verdict;

would become:
