It was just a question, when you have a search engine with custom options in your theme how hard is it to add tags in the options? if not possible just recommend a plugin that works best with your theme if not just say we don’t have that option and don’t know which plugin is best.

Its not hard but this will slow down search significantly. Wordpress search is slow. Adding there additional taxonomy will make it almost unusable. You can use any plugin for search. We use regular searchform file so all plugins should overwrite it correctly
