Continue Reading Option on Mobile has suddenly stopped working. Now when someone taps on that button, it is not responding anymore. So I tried to disable this option from Article setting. “Use Continue Reading Button On Mobile?” When I toggle this option off and save the settings it looks like setting is saved, but when I refresh the page it turns out the setting is not saved. So I am unable to turn off this setting as well.

Hi! I wanted to ask what the difference is between ZoxPress and Zox News? Is ZoxPress the newer, better version of Zox News?
...and also does ZoxPress and Zox News both support php version 8?

The main difference is that ZoxPress has 9 more layouts and in different categories, like fashion, sports, tech, etc, whereas Zox News focuses on political or network style layouts, though you can certainly use Zox News for whatever type of news site you’d like.
ZoxPress also has a lot more custom options and features that Zox News doesn’t have, such as night mode, the ability to adjust the width and height of the top navigation areas, inline parallax article ads, etc.
I have not yet tested the theme with PHP 8.0, but I am not aware of any such issues.

Last question, can I have the same search bar on ZoxPress like it is on Zox News? It’s literally the only thing that is stopping me from buying ZoxPress hahaha.
I really like how the search looks on Zox News, it’s clean and minimalistic. Don’t like the box around the search field on ZoxPress and the button.

Olá MVP Themes, eu queria comprar o tema, mais eu queria saber primeiro se tem como eu comprar o tema com todas as funções de edição, por exemplo edição da estrutura do tema, porque eu queria um tema onde eu pode-se editar as categorias, por exemplo, a categoria de esporte eu queria deixa-lá verde, tanto na área inicial como na categoria. Esse tema é feito em qual plugin? É Elementor ou outro?

This theme does not use any page builders to set up the site. You can certainly change the categories since that is not a theme-specific change. Categories will change based on the categories you set up the WordPress backend. If you are asking to have different colors for each category, then that is not yet a feature of the theme, but it is something I will definitely consider for a future update.
To anyone having problems with the top navigation bar scroll behavior after the latest Wordpress update: until the theme is updated to fix this, you can use Wordpress Team’s “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin and roll the jQuery version back to the old one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/

That is not currently a feature of the theme, but I do plan to include one in a future update.
The viewcounter component is important. We need it to be, at least, half decently reliable. (LOL!!!)

Hello MVPThemes, I noticed there’s incompatibility issues with ZoxPress and the latest version of Wordpress 5.6 particularly the jQuery Migrate. The Social Media buttons at the bottom stopped working when scrolling in mobile. Along with the onscroll main navigation. I’m currently using Wordpress Team’s temporary fix, which is the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. At first it didn’t worked, but when I selected the legacy Jquery version which is surprisingly quite old, the problem is now fixed. I’m hoping you could fix this soon. Have a great day and thank you for this awesome theme, it’s very light and fast. I’m planning to use this forever. lol

Can you point to a site or user who has fully optimized this theme for gtmetrix or google pagespeed insights? The theme certainly looks very cool, but I want to make sure that it loads quickly when css/js is properly deferred, images are properly sized and formatted, cache and preloads are properly set, etc. (FYI, your demo at http://mvpthemes.com/zoxnews/ doesn’t do so well for pagespeed, might be worthwhile to optimize then tout the results on your sales page…)

I don’t have a site I can point to, but while I always look to improve PageSpeed scores, I do warn against putting too much stock in them. Google itself makes recommendations for its own mobile site, and nearly all major news sites score very poorly on both mobile and desktop, but especially mobile, where scores are rarely higher than 50. I actually saw a major news site with a zero mobile score.
It doesn’t take that much work to get scores well over 70 for mobile and 90+ desktop, and it is important, both for SEO rankings and user happiness. Use Autoptimize, WP Super Cache and an image compression plugin (Smush or Imagify). Pretty easy, and all are free…

Those are all plugins that have nothing to do with the theme itself that you could use yourself. And the theme demo does use a caching plugin. I have already mentioned that I will always look to make improvements to increase speed as I have done with updates since I created the theme. There are things that my customers have done outside of the theme that have optimized their sites and the vast majority have been extremely happy with the theme’s performance.
Yes, of course those plugins are separate from any theme. I’m simply pointing out some options easily implemented on any theme’s demo page. If you did this, you could boost your page speed index there with google and gtmetrix, and then point to those results on your themeforest sales page (as several other theme developers have started doing). Making that info available saves having to have this conversation by eliminating a concern pre-sale, helping you sell even more…

I appreciate your concern, but as I mentioned, I have used optimizing plugins on my demos. And just know that you certainly can use the same if you wish to purchase the theme and that I will continue to optimize the theme. I’m not sure what else I can say about this.

We have some pre-purchase queries about this theme, we have been reading your reviews and people are complaining the theme doesn’t look like what it looks on the demo site and on some comments I have also seen your comment asking to buy full license? I wanted to check what does that mean? Do I have to pay extra bugs to enable some of your features?
What is your turn around time in-case we face any difficulty with the theme?

Your site will look like the demo, but without the images from the demo. They will be replaced by placeholder images. And for every customer who has had difficulty setting it up, there are dozens who have set it up very easily.
The comments about people buying full licenses are to customers who have downloaded the theme via Envato Elements subscriptions, which does not come with support. So, if they want support, they will need to purchase the theme via Themeforest.
As for turnaround time, I typically respond within 24 hours during normal business days.
