Is it multi-site compatible? Ie. can I run standalone job portals on sub-sites?

Yes it is

Great, thank you. One more question – The Company profile page is very basic (https://workscout.in/company/Cubico/). Can this be extended, so it is more of a ‘home page’ for that company, with detailed text, videos, .. etc.?

Not really, this page is done using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-job-manager-companies/ – there are some alternative but none of them provides a more advanced options for such “company” page

After updating theme to version 2.0.20, i started seeing the following strange notification in WordPress admin:

’’Oops, seems that you have not activated your WorkScout license yet!

Activate License’‘

The above notice is strange. What license is it talking about?. Kindly explain to me the meaning of that notice and what i should do about it.

Thanks.

The “Activate License” is a link, click it to get more details, it asks about theme license activation

ok, thanks for the clarification.

Hi,

I want the Resume package to have two types of subscriptions: One free, through which you can not apply for jobs, or contact people who post jobs.

And I want a paid one where you can do all of the above.

How can I do this?

Thanks

I want Resume who does not have a paid package to not be able to apply for the job, , not be able to add alert or add to favorites.

This is not in functionality of those packages, Resume package is “A package which lets a user post X resumes before expiring.” https://wpjobmanager.com/document/woocommerce-paid-listings/#section-2

having more option to limit other functionalities would require custom modification

Can candidates add a link to a Youtube video, so that it appears in their resume page, like this >> https://digitaljobs.scot/resume/sharon-green/

Yes, there is a video option in Submit Resume form

Hello,

I added the “company video” link in the job listing, but the video doesn’t appear in the front end.

Is there a way to make it visible?

Thanks!

so that should work, can you share link to that job?

Can I send you the link in privat message?

Of course, use Support Tab https://themeforest.net/item/workscout-job-board-wordpress-theme/13591801/support that’s actually prefered method to get quickest support

Hi, I want those who post an ad to be able to set who they want to see the ad: example: 1. Public -> Platform users can view your profile. 2. Discreet -> Only the users you have connected with 3. Private -> Only me to see the ad

Thanks

Hi

That would require custom modification, there’s no such option in WorkScout

Hi, I have great interest in the job theme.

But before I purchase it I have a few questions

1) Is there a possibility to work in elementor? 2) Can you give statements about SEO compatibility and page speed? 3) Can candidates apply to a job listing without registration? 4) Is it possible to charge the company a fee for the duration of the advertisement? (for instance 30 days for 50$, 60 days for 90$ etc.) 5) Do you offer a Child theme? 6) Is the theme compatible with RankMath or Yoast?

Best TheraHub

Hi

ad1. No

ad2. Page speed mostly depends on your server, and for SEO we don’t have any special functionality, when there are plugins like SEO by Yoast there’s no point in duplicating functionality they provide in theme

ad3. Depends on the application method you choose https://www.docs.purethemes.net/workscout/knowledge-base/setting-up-apply-for-job/

ad4. Yes, you need WC Paid Listings for that

ad5. yes, sample child theme is included

ad6. It works with Yoast, I do not recommend RankMath

Hi, I started creating two different accounts: First candidate account. Second employer account.

After creating the accounts, in admin appear the same information to both accounts and can create at both accounts only employer ads

Can you help me? Thanks

You mean the problem is that you can create a job posting from candidate account? That’s how it works in WPJM https://wpjobmanager.com/document/the-employer-role/

I managed to make it work.

But when I want to add a job I get an error.

watch video:

https://bonne.unydev.ro/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Untitled-88.mp4

the settings are good in admin.

Thanks

Please contact me via Support Tab with admin access to your site, I’ll check it

Hi, how do I set up an account to be verified by email?

You can disable password field in registration form (WorkScout Core -> Registration), that way password is generated and sent via email to user, so he has to have real email address to be able to check it

Hello how can i hire candidates by the website itself? instead of email or message

Not sure if that’s what you are looking for but there’s this plugin https://wpjobmanager.com/document/applications/

how can i make the candidate view to inform that they are hired or labelled as “hired”?

There’s no such option in WP Job Manager

Hello, I want you to display a widget on the employer’s page.

But it does not work.

I installed the Search and Filtering for WP Job Manager module. And I want to display the filters on the page

Employers page (I assume you mean company page) doesn’t have support for widget

Job Expiry

I’m trying to add a job expiry so I don’t have to admin every single listing and registered employers don’t have to constantly admin their listings. I see the setting is in Appearance>Customise>Job Options

When I check the box to show ‘Expires’ nothing happens. I can see the field in the backend of WordPress but the option doesn’t show for any one using the frontend dashboard.

Can you advise please?

Not being able to set a custom date basically means manually administering every job you post, I have people posting hundreds of jobs a month. The lack of this basic feature pretty much renders the platform useless from a usability perspective.

Hi

WorkScout is theme for WP Job Manager plugin, that’s their way of doing that. Technically it could be rather easily customized to add expiration date for jobs available in the Submit job form, but it’s not available out of the box, and for over 4 years we sell WorkScout it’s first time this being raised as an issue.

Thanks for clearing that up, for anyone else wondering WP Job Manager does have a plugin called Application Deadline for $20 a year. I’m assuming leaving a basic function like that out is a way for them to make money, which is fair enough.

is there an admin demo or can i buy and test? what about refunds?

Hi

we don’t have demo admin access. Refund policy https://themeforest.net/page/customer_refund_policy

hey, is is possible to scrape other sites and list the items as a job? for example with the Wordpress Automatic Plugin?

You can use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/go-fetch-jobs-wp-job-manager/ , I’m not aware of other solutions

Hi, I want to display in the frontend all the options in the list as in admin. checklist (multiple checkboxes).

Those selected, add a new class. to be able to stylize it.

please help me to do this Thanks

I want to display the custom field in the dashboard, in the frontend page

I use WP Job Manager Field Editor to display some new fields. I want to display all fields frontend of the checkbox not only the selected ones

Please contact me via Support Tab about that and provide some example.

Hi, how can I hide a job if a candidate has been found.

To resuces is the option to hide

Thanks

In Job Dashboard as employer you have option “Mark as filled”, as admin you can unpublish job

I want users to be able to hide the ad after it has been hired.

The only option provided by WP Job Manager is to set job as filled, and in Job Listings -> Settings -> Hide filled positions will hide them from list.

Hello, I have a question. When I register, the password is sent automatically via email? Is this functionality included in the theme?

Hi

yes it is

Sorry for coming up with this questions at this time.

I have used your theme for about 3 years now without a child them because i was ignorant then, but i need child theme now. I understand that if i download the zip file again from my profile the child them is wrapped up in the zip file.

But my question now is can i still switch to child theme when my site is already fully customized.

I have not done any major change in the core files but i have lots of CSS code added to additional CSS in WordPress dashboard.

Please can you give me detailed steps by step on how to switch to child theme at this stage without losing my customization and breaking things.

I await your response please.

Hi

if you haven’t changed any core files, you don’t really need the child theme. If you did, depends on which files you modified, but theme files could be moved to child theme, you’d need to simply install the child theme and copy to it the files you modified. The code in Customize -> Additional CSS will stay there no matter which theme you will activate, it’s not related to themes.

Hi, I am trying to change

1. salary decimals to 0 and 2. change fontawsome icon “ln ln-icon-Money-2” to “fa fa-bar-chart”

on job search page. (not content-single-job-listing.php)

But i found that decimals and icons are controlled by workscout-core-template-functions.php

Is there any way to template override workscout core plugin? Or is it possible to change by add action on function.php?

Hi

I’ll be adding option to set decimals number in WorkScout options, so for now you’d have to replace it in the workscout-core-template-functions.php. This is not template file and can’t be overridden

Hello, I would like to do a test on the platform. It’s possible? How to proceed?

Hi, we do not have any test platform. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
