Hi, These are our ideas to make Journal more flexible, core features we miss the most:
1. Units other than px: All the units are in px, but often other units are needed, therefore a unit dropdown at every size field would be essential, with px, em, rem, vw, vh, ch whatever, defaulting to px. For example with vw we can make text perfextly zoom and fit with the background image.
2. Optional custom defined class names for rows and cols (and for modules if possible): We know that rows and cols have their own class names but those are not static, they change dynamically with reorder. A field for defining custom class names would help a lot to write custom code, making Journal more universal and flexible.
3. Web fonts other than Google: This needs custom code and hacking the database now, it would be more elegant to have a ‘Custom’ option besides System and Google.
4. Height setting for cols: We need this sometimes (but point 2. would do as well).

Regarding the fonts, we had a quick-and-dirty solution:
1. add the cdn font to custom code header,
2. add any Google font,
3. edit font properties in journal3_variable table.

Dear Journal is there any way we can make the mini cart dropdown window and in general menus to give you more time to check them out before they close on moving out the mouse? In other words onec you move over some menu it closes extremely fast.

Website add-to-cart button has some issue that sometimes keeps loading for way way too long. if i wait 20 seconds then it comes up. do you know where this is coming from? other times its ok but many times its is very slow so its very bad for customers.

Hi, if the issue happens randomly then it is almost surely not related to Journal, check your server logs for more information, maybe your server responds slowly from time to time.

Hi, this depends on what date you are referring to, for example, blog date format can be changed from Journal > Blog, for anything else, edit Opencart language files.

Hi DA, i have something to propose to you. I see many people have problems when updating or installing your theme. The problem is that it has too many characters and as you know windows have limitations where file paths cannot have more than 260 characters. The problem here is some files are left out without being copied. Why don’t you just make the name shorter and in your read me file write upload from c:/ after being extracted? Or similar. This is not your fault of course.
Hi, those are third party files installed via composer, we cannot change their names and this is an isolated scenario because most people have 64bit operating systems where such restriction does not exist.

How do I remove dropdown symbls on the main menu? My links – contact us, about – are just regular pages and I’ve set dropdown type to none but I still see the dropdown icons.

Here’re options for both specials and contact, they both look identical to me but contact us has no dropdown but special does, and I’m not sure why.
