Im interested in this theme. It looks very promising. The one bit of functionality I’m looking for is advanced blogging. Will your theme allow having blog posts with categories pages and also advanced filter (e.g. to filter post by 3 criteria such as dance type, content type, and level?). Also how easy it is to add accounts registration and display certain pages only for logged in users (e.g. as a premium area for logged in users)?

If you set your blog single pages to have categories the category pages will be created automatically. When it comes to the filter you can within our Blog list enable filter by category which will be able to list your Category and it´s subcategories.
We do not have a membership plugin included with this theme, however you can use https://vibez.qodeinteractive.com/my-account page, which does serve for shop functionality with our theme.
If you wish to display some pages for logged in users you can always password protect some of you pages, or consider using some third party plugin for this purpose. Do note that we have not tested any third party plugins with our theme nor we can guaranty theme compatibility.

I am trying to update the elated countdown but the year option only goes to 2020. How am I able to update the year to include the 2021 and beyond?

As a quick fix, you can find the countdown.php file and add more years as it is shown here Please navigate to wp-content/plugins/eltdf-core/shortcodes/countdown/countdown.php and simply add more years to that file.
This will be included within the future theme update as well.

You can within Elated Options > Header choose your header behaviour and layout.
The search can be removed from Appearance > Widgets removing the search widget from the Header widget area.

Hello, I’ve spent like 3 hours trying to understand why my site broke each update I tried (from 1.4 to 1.8.1.) The problem, was the CPT core update. I started to suspect that this was the problem, but neither in the vibez 1.8.1 package, neither in the official guide there was a hint of this (the update to 1.2.1) and a link to the new update. Why don’t you put a more update guide directly in the rar file, and above all, why don’t you include the plugin cpt core updated in the package. all other serious themes seller do this.

If you updated the theme to the latest version, the plugins that are included are as well in the package so you simply need to deactivate and remove the old ones and then you will get a message that you need to install the plugins which will have the latest version. Hello, this is very urgent… I bought the theme a while a go and I installed it for a client, been working for a while until I tried to login and work, it just kept directing me to spam sites, after deleting the theme and plugins the site works

Please check on that page it self, because possible it is uploaded in the page settings for logo. If this is done, then it will overwrite all the Global options that you can find in Elated Options.

If you navigate to that particular page you do have Logo option where you simply can remove the logo image that was uploaded. Once this is done Global options will be applied.

Are theme updates only available if support is purchased? We purchased the theme two or three years ago and it says it is still on version 1.1. No update theme options seem to be available.

Thanks for writing in. The updates are available even if your support license has expired. Every time a theme update is released you will get a notification. The latest update out was a few days ago and the current theme version is 1.8 so please update your theme and its plugins according to our article here.
You can always access your latest theme files for the Envato account where you have purchased the theme from.

Is this theme compatible with Wordpress 5.5?

Please note that due to safety measures related to COVID-19 the updating of our themes is a bit delayed but please note that we are working really hard on this and that we are constantly working on updating all our themes, however, we can say that the theme is compatible with the latest version of WordPress as well as it is compatible with the latest WooCommerce as well. You will get this message though but it will not affect the performance of the theme as well as it will be added in the theme’s changelog once the update is out. At the moment we don’t have any ETA when this update will come out. You will for sure be notified when the theme update is out. the following error message comes up: “Your theme has 21 widget areas, but this particular page doesn’t display them. You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages”

The theme is quite powerful however there are some issues and it looks like support team is not going to fix them.
The first issue I faced was from the very beginning – I was not able to import samples pages. Yep, I read the tutorial about importing content, yep I put these settings nevertheless it was not imported correctly so I did all my pages from scratch.
Be aware that some elements in the theme are decoded by the shortcodes. These shortcodes are powerful and quite convenient but absolutely un-clear. Nothing! I did not find any tiny peace of example or code snippet of real shortcode. The documentation is extremely poor. It describes only options you can alter for elements but it is useless if you don’t know how to create needed element on the first place. I spent a few days searching for correct shortcode of element I want by looking over all.
I was forced to dig through the developer options example pages and try to guess how did developers archive that layout or what could be the name of the element.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE ARE DEFECTS IN THE THEME!
I have already rose a support ticket that some css options remain default even if I customised them (e.g. main page color). And the solution was to fix it manually through the css. It is not a decent solution it MUST BE fixed though on the codebase level otherwise why to put this option if it is not working?
ISSUES WITH TRANSLATION.
If you want to translate your web site to different languages I found a few places which were hard-coded so the translation plug-ins do not help.
Also I was struggling with plugin defaults. E.g. The Calendar plugin generates default page for ALL events and there is no possibility to customise it. So I just made a slug for this page insanely long hoping nobody never will find this page. The only option you can do – to change the page template for it but it is not enough for a good look.
All in all theme is powerful but when you use it there is a feeling that it is still in development and only half-ready.

We do need to point out that our theme is documented for sure. It is a documentation of all our theme features and the possibilities you do have with it, as well as we do have our helpcenter knowledge base with many great article that are covering general issues our users do encounter. Another important thing to know is that our support team is always eager to help with any difficulties you do encounter with the theme.
