Try the font additional options on that element, there should be a Text Align option inside, make that center.

Journal is having a problem with Mi Browser, can you please fix this problem? Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome on the same device does not do this. Journal theme would be great if you made it compatible with Mi Browser.
Hi, that’s a phone setting that makes it look like that, definitely not a default browser look. It’s probably some inverted color option in the phone settings, not something that is controlled from the site options.

The phone is in dark mode. The device is Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. Only in Mi Browser has such problem. I tried it with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox on the same phone, no problem. However, the site looks dark in Mi Browser. No problems on other sites. I think the theme has an incompatibility with Mi Browser. Would you check?
That’s a browser setting, not a typical dark mode. It forces all colors inverted, have you tried any other site, do other sites look in their normal colors? I doubt it – so you need to look in the browser settings and turn off that feature.
An update is probably needed, 3.0.3.6 has many bugs, fixed in 3.0.3.7 but many files have been modified, so the theme may give errors.

In fact it’s been activated just now, however there aren’t arabic translations if that’s what you’re looking for. But the mechanism of RTL is working fine in the storefront. Please note the Journal admin is not multi-language and is only available in english. More info in our docs.

The mail system works fine.
It only gives an error when exiting the newsletter.
When you register to Newsletter, the customer and the admin mail are sent.
Mail is sent from the contact form and from all forms.
When you register on the site, the mail works.
It only gives an error only when you exit the newsletter. Cannot send mail. I guess there is a bug in the newsletter about sending an e-mail after leaving the mail.
I use Yandex Connect. Yandex mail system for institutions.

Sending mail does not work when unsubscribe from newsletter only.
It works when you subscribe to the newsletter. Theme works on contact form. It works on the membership and password forgot part of the site. So everywhere else mails work works.

Right, sorry – that is not possible because a demo is made up of multiple objects, not just skin (that being just one) – you also have variables, styles, modules, layouts which are all different per demo – so you need to export the entire demo.
Also, multi-site use requires multiple license to be purchased, the regular license only covers a single site.

hi we were using your theme with opencart v1.5.6 . we updated opencart to v3.0.6 but now we have problem about timeout. When we edit a product price, desc etc or we updated order status; website is waiting long time. customers cannot load website long time and 524 error occure. What can be problem? Hi, There is a bug with QuickCheckout in version 3.1.8 as follows: when a user does a checkout (submits the order), he/she needs to press twice the submit button before the order is sent/saved. This is due to the following: First time when you press Submit the following response “route=journal3/checkout/save&confirm=true” gets status “cancelled”. Once you press the submit button twice, then you get status 200 and the order is saved correctly. Version 3.1.5 works perfectly here. Hope you find a bug fix. Cheers!

Sure, just tested also v3.1.7 and Journal Checkout is broken there too. OC default checkout is working. Version 3.1.6 not tested yet. Testing environment pure OC2.3.0.2. Journal Checkout is confirmed fully working in version 3.1.5. It seems that first “confirm order” button click misses “&confirm=true” parameter as the first POST is “index.php?route=journal3/checkout/save”. After the second “confirm order” button click results “index.php?route=journal3/checkout/save&confirm=true” and order is saved and confirmation session is shown as it should be. Hope some others have found this bug too.

Demo that runs with OC3.0.3.7 works fine, also tested locally. Problem is with OC2.3.0.2 that misses the confirm parameter at first try. Kindly check with OC2.3.0.2.

Hi. I did have homepage working without any problem for 4 years, then it crashed without a reason. So after crash- i did install latest version of site (6 feb 2021), then uploaded demo and got that crash (without demo appearing un site itself). HTTP ERROR 500. Any ideas how to solve?

Hi there! So, recently I Bought online shop from friend of mine and it came up with the latest version of Journal 3. I am not a “pro” in this sphere and recently found out, that there are several themes (demos) and it can be downladed and intsalled. So long story short, my friend cant access his account on Themeforest, therefore he can’t provide purchase code for downloading demos. Is there any way, one can download themes without having purchase code? (taking into considertaion that there is liscneced Journal 3 installed on my website). Thanks in advance

For wcag accesibiilty it requires to “Replace your i elements with em or strong”, which core files can we edit for this purpose?
Hi, that’s not really possible, nor necessary. In any case, it’s not something we can help you with, you’d have to consult with a developer to modify Opencart core files.
But we don’t recommend you do that, since “i” tags are used for icons anyway, and what you are referring to is something else, and the assumption is not quite correct.
For accessibility, it’s recommended to use “em” tags instead of “i” when used for italic purposes on actual text output, for example when you write a product description or information page, and you want to make a piece of text italic. That means the text is emphasised somehow, and screen readers will put an actual emphasis on that word when it’s read aloud if it’s wrapped in an “em” tag. If you don’t have it in an “em” tag it will just read it like a normal word.
However, “i” tags won’t break your site in any way, and definitely not in the context Opencart uses them for icons.

In that case, it’s a false “problem”. There’s nothing wrong with an “i” tag, it’s a perfectly normal HTML tag.
That service is claiming the mere presence of an “i” tag, without any context of how it’s being used, as a problem. I say it’s a problem with that service, especially when I explained how Opencart uses the “i” tag (for icons). Using an “em” tag for icons doesn’t make any difference, since readers can’t read the icon anyway.
Now if you use “i” tags yourself in various descriptions in your admin (products, categories, etc.) that is up to you to edit all those texts and not use them in that context.
I am not using any i tag anywhere, you can enter your 1 theme in the achecker and see for yourself the issue with i tags. achecker.ca is the website.

The checker is wrong for lack of context. And apparently, those using it at face value, in some cases, may be mislead.
The checker would only be right in the sense I’ve described, where you just write plain text and, with the intention of emphasizing a word, you wrap it in “i” tags instead of “em”.
This makes sense, the screen reader understands the em tag and places audible emphasis on that particular word. If it’s wrapped in an “i” it wouldn’t know it’s emphasized and would just read it normally (not the end of the world, the word would still be accessible, just not emphasized).
However, to simply rule out the use of “i” or “b” tags in any use case, would simply mean that those tags are not valid anymore, which I don’t think is the case.
So, again, the checker simply lacks context, it does not know what those “i” or “b” tags are used for, and simply assumes default usage.

And by the way, if certain tags like “i” or “b” or any other do become officially invalid (from accessibility standpoints or otherwise) we would make the necessary changes in Journal to bring it up to the new standards.
But as it stands now, those tags are perfectly valid and used outside the scope of text emphasis.
Furthermore, it would be up to Opencart to make the changes in the core system, since they use “i” elements on the icons. In fact they use Font Awesome for icons which uses “i” tags.
So changes would need to be made at the core Opencart level.
We, of course, would update the theme accordingly.
