1. we need to add a mobile only image and text for https://darlamarasco.com we are not finding how to do this in your theme. please advise.
2. there are two buttons, one showing mobile orientation, the other desktop. we believed that we could alter the layout for each device by clicking on each layout, however, this is not working. is this functionality working?
3. Each time we modify the site, we have to wait an extended period or time 10 minutes …. to see updates. why is this occurring? what is it in the theme causing this delay. It is eating up our dev time, have to wait to see when the update occurs. we host on the best web hosting site in the country, WP Engine, that is strickly for Wordpress. we have never had this issue with any other site. please advise.
Almost all features of the theme are shown in the demo. In most cases, what is not in the demo can be obtained only with the help of third-party plugins or custom CSS.
1. There are no such options in theme. Perhaps they are in third party plugins. Pages that are created in Layers can use plugins that act as shortodes. Pages that are created in the standard WordPress editor can use plugins that work as blocks. You can also use custom CSS.
2. Buttons are designed to see how the page looks on devices of different sizes. They are not designed to create multiple versions.
3. There should be no such delay. Even on free hosting, changes are saved in a few seconds. This is strange. Try to disable all plugins, maybe some plugin is causing this slowdown. If it doesn’t help, write, I’ll think about what else you can try or check.

My developer and I have been working on customizing your theme for a personal brand site. https://darlamarasco.com Since working on your platform is extremely different from all of the other themes, there was a learning curve. please disregard all of my previous messages. NOW, moving forward. I would like to make this be one of the themes that I customize for my personal branding services; however, my developer is not as thrilled due to not being able to do our normal design changes. please respond to some of these open questions:
1. how can we add sections to the page from copy one section and then add it to the bottom. please see the URL we added the top bars under the header to the bottom footer. This took many many hours to build, vs other themes, just a copy and paste. CAN WE COPY SECTIONS AND ADD THEM TO THE PAGE THEN MODIFY? Maybe we just do not understand how.
2. the footer section 1 had an SX code inside of it. is this necessary? will we be able to code and design the footer any way we like by deleting that code?
3. what is the easy way to add padding between header types and other sections? I cannot find where to do this. When I added to a padding top bottom, it was not just adding to below the subheadline in a section.
4. I just installed Yoast so that I can do the SEO meta on this site. I cannot access this through the edit page. Is there another way what we can edit the page, like usual themes, where I can use YOAST? how can I add SEO content?
5. is there another editor, like wp bakery, that works with your site and we can use it if we want to?
6. there is now easy way to find icon short codes… again, looked up your documentation but still did not show how to find the Instagram icon code.
7. Can I add more pages to this site, like a normal theme? please advise.
I want to be able to use this theme but alter it for upcoming clients, but these questions will need to be clarified first.

2. Footer can contain any widgets. You can delete the ones that are inserted by default.
3. Unfortunately, there is no easy way inside Layers pages. Either switch to HTML editing mode using the button on the pop-up panel, or use custom CSS.
4. Plugins that work with the standard WordPress editor will only work with pages created in the standard WordPress editor.
5. The standard WordPress editor is very user-friendly. There are many plugins in the free WordPress repository. You may also be able to create pages with other editors, but the theme has not been tested with them. Keep in mind that usually a page can only be modified by the editor in which it was created.
6. You should set icon class in the options. Please see the class names here:

For Fontawesome icons you shold use class like ‘fa fa-play’. For Linecons icons you shold use class like ‘li_video’. But keep in mind that the theme uses the Font Awesome version included in Layers. This is version 4.6.3. If you want to use icons from newer versions of Font Awesome, you need to install them separately.

You can create additional pages just like in any other theme.
My header graphic is not as tall as the demo sophia. Sometimes when I scroll back up there is a black box above my header image. Is this due to the height difference? can I alter the height of of the header area and the white box adjusts. see https://darlamarasco.com
If you mean a background image, then it will scale automatically to fit the section and this shouldn’t be a problem. I have unfortunately been unable to reproduce this issue. If you describe in more detail how I can do this, I can understand what is wrong.
we seem to have fixed this issue. the main issue is now needing to have a mobile version of the image and reduced copy size. how do we have 1 image for desktop and tablet and one for mobile. check out https://darlamarasco.com
I see the other persons comment about theme having limited usage. that is too bad. i would like to use this theme for other client but need to be able to have a mobile header image and a desk top image
You cannot set different background images for different devices. In general, such image as yours needs to be placed in the foreground. It should not be used as a background. The point is that the background is automatically scaled to fit the section. And depending on the aspect ratio of the browser window, it may not be predictably cropped at the left, right, top or bottom.
Even on a large screen, if the user shrinks the browser width relative to the height, it will crop on the sides, and if it shrinks the height, it will crop at the top and bottom. This is true for all background images, regardless of the theme. Therefore, as a background, you should use images for which this is not scary.
OK, how do I insert a foreground image for mobile only?
There is no such option in the SX Section, it can only be done using custom CSS or maybe using third-party plugins.

Thanks. I want to edit/increase the hight of the menubar to have more space around the logo. How can I achieve this?

The logo is automatically scaled to fit the menu. It can’t be done anymore then menu. Menu size can only be increased with custom css if you have coding skills. But this is also not easy, because the menu changes depending on the position of the scroll and the indents of other elements are attached to the size of the menu.
Thanks for the answer. However, a logo can have a wide variety of shapes (rectangular, square, ...) and is a very important element for a website. There are often corporate identity guidelines that prescribe certain minimum sizes and spaces. If I cannot set this in the theme, then it is unfortunately unusable for professional use. Then I can only use the theme for gimmicks. That’s too bad and wasted money!
The logo can be of any shape, but it is scaled to fit the height of the element in which it is inserted. If he crawls out of it, it will not look professional and will hardly match the corporate style.
Logos are designed to work well on objects of any size. On pens, for example.
The theme design is presented on a demo and it is difficult to imagine a large logo on it. Either it will overlap the items under the menu, or it will expand the menu and somewhere there will be disproportionate indents.
OK and thanks for your time. It is as I wrote – it lacks the option to change the height of the header and so the theme is only conditionally recommended for professional use. If I had read this in the comments before, I would not have bought it and saved myself the testing. Therefore, I am also writing this last comment so that other interested parties can be clear BEFORE buying what the theme is able to deliver and what NOT!

When activating the theme, the admin interface displays notifications about missing plugins and provides links to install and activate them.

The reason why I purchased your $41 theme skrollex was to try it out for a personal brand website. I wanted to see if I could start using this template in my agency for multiple clients.
We are having lots of problems. The main reason I purchased was for the color bars that sit right ontop of the header image. When we installed the theme, these did not show correctly. there are many issues with the imported demo. we need assistance. I am on a hard deadline, and having issues. please let me know if we can work with you and how.

Hopefully the problem will be fixed by the plugin developer. Not everyone has this error. I have not this error on my test server. This plugin is only needed for the contact form. If you do not activate it, then a shortcode will be displayed instead of the contact form. You can install any other plugin for the contact form and replace the shortcode.
Unfortunately, I am new to this and this template is completely useless for me with this error. This issue should have been flagged upfront before the purchase.

I uploaded new version of Skrollex. It resolves the problem with Contact Form 7. Once it is verified, you can download it. Sorry for the inconvenience. This was due to a plugin update.

Perhaps you have modified javascript files of WordPress or theme on your server. I see a javascript error message in the browser console.

Error in jquery.min.js. This is strange. Try disabling all plugins. If that doesn’t solve the issue, try reinstalling WordPress and the theme.

Try disabling all plugins. There might be some problem with caching. If disabling plugins and clearing the cache does not help, look at the messages in the error log that are displayed when saving data. Ask your hosting provider where to view the error log.

Post only those error messages that are recorded in time immediately after clicking on the Publish button when you save your changes. This is most likely one or more error messages.

Please see the error messages in the error log. Ask your hosting provider where to view it. Also try disabling all plugins, including the recommended. Some users have a problem with Contsct Form 7. Most likely it has something to do with a particular server configuration.
The theme tested and works ок with WordPress 5.7 and PHP 7.3, all latest WordPress versions are supported. But for now I can’t select 5.7 in the description settings. There versions appear with a delay. Any other plugin that supports shortcodes can be used instead of Contsct Form 7. Replace the shortcode in the preset content. If the page was created not using Layers, but in a standard editor, then you can also use plugins that work like blocks. I cannot recommend a specific one. Theme has not been tested with other similar plugins.

Thanks for the tip. I did go to cpanel error log and identified the “Maximum execution time” parameter set to 30 was the cause. Changed it to 300. Also on the Contact form 7 error, I did read that the bug exists only on version 5.4 of the plugin. thus I have used “WP Rollback” to freeze Contact Form 7 to v5.3.2 and now everything is ok.

X40, I am very sorry for bothering you with my non-sensical Questions. I realized the Gear button is not there when you aint editing the page. Also, the border can be made fully transparent using the tools that you have provided. One thing I noticed is that the theme experiences difficulties when creating a new page With wordpress 5.7. Process does not finnish. So I used “WP Downgrade plugin to freeze it on Wordpress 5.6.2 and it works perfectly! Your theme is wow!! superbly awesome and most elegant. I would give it a 7 out of 5 for its simply on another level. Cheers Mate! Much love!
The gear button changes the color scheme and makes transparent all elements that have Background A. Not only the border, but the background of the top menu too.
I just tested page creation in WordPress 5.7, didn’t find any problems. I think you should ask your hosting provider where to view the error log. Most likely, more detailed information about the problem is written there at the time of the page creation.

You can add a submenu via admin interface just like in any theme. Move the item via drag and drop under other item.

You can use other icon sets, which can be used via class names. The easiest way to use the sets, which have the WordPress version. You should use documentation of the developer of icon set. Many icon sets after the installation can also be used as the Fontawesome and Linecons, but have different class names.

This cannot be done via SX Section features. You can try to find suitable plugins in the free repository. If plugin works as WordPress shortcode, then its content can be inserted directly into the SX Section column. If plugin works as WordPress widget, it can be inserted inserted instead of SX Section. If plugin works as WordPress block, it can be inserted in pagae which created via standard WordPress editor (not Layers page).

This cannot be done in the SX Section. Only with Appearance / Customize / Additional CSS if you have coding skills.
Hi,Just updated the scroller and the layers vis FTP and I lost my website www.visiondynamic.com how to fix that? Try to restore from backup and even the hosting provider could not help. They say further troubleshooting and a solution is to check in with the theme’s developers. This looks like a setting of the CSS and they are familiar with the theme’s code so they should have no problem to detect exactly what needs to be adjusted. Can you help please ?

Delete the old version of the theme in the admin panel and install the new one as described in the documentation. The installation process for Skrollex is the same as for regular themes, but requires the free version of Layers to be installed.
