E’ possibile aggiungere un box ai singoli post nella hompage?

Altra cosa, se metto header principale di colore scuro, non c’è un modo per cambiare colore al header appiccicoso, rimane sempre bianco

Hey,

We provide support via our support site only. For further support, please create a topic at our Support Site – if you have activated the theme license, you should already have received your support password via email (you can use Login > Forgot password? link to get a new one).

Thanks.

Is it possible to add Telegram in the Social Media Links?

Hey,

We don’t have the telegram in social list by default in current version. We’ll add it in a future release. However, our support can help you add it in the current version as well. Simply create a topic at our support site and you will be guided on it.

Cheers.

Our site was built using version 2.6.2 of this theme and is currently still running WPress 4.9.10. Using a staging site, when I updated to WP 5.7, most things seem ok, except for any images (including feature images) which are link disappear until the user rolls over them. Testing plugins, this appears to be connected to the Bunyad Page Builder and, specifically the shortcodes add-on for that page builder. It looks as if that page builder has been scrapped for Elementor in the current version of this theme (a good thing in my opinion).

My question is this, if we upgrade to the current theme version, will we have to rebuild the site extensively since the page builders are completely different? And, can the theme be simply updated from within WPress rather than it acting as a new install of a new theme? Just trying to wrap my head around how much rebuilding I’ll have to do if we upgrade.

Hey,

You can learn about migrating from v3 or older in this guide (login to your support account to view). It should answer many of your questions.

Note that the full theme package (all files on download button) also includes a maintained older v3.x if you aren’t yet ready to update to v5+. For further support, please create a topic at our Support Site – if you have activated the theme license, you should already have received your support password via email (you can use Login > Forgot password? link to get a new one).

Salve ho appena acquistato il tema, come metto la lingua italiana?, poi come faccio a modificare la home page, per mettere uno slider ecc.. se mi puoi dare una mano veloce senza che apro il supporto…

Hey,

For translation, make sure your WordPress is in Italian language first. Then follow the standard WordPress theme translation method to translate the theme: details here. The easiest way to get started is to import a demo and then edit/setup your homepage.

Please note that we offer support only via our support site. For further support, please create a topic at our Support Site – if you have activated the theme license, you should already have received your support password via email (you can use Login > Forgot password? link to get a new one).

Ho importato una demo, ma non riesco a modificare se vado su nuovo pagine, mi crea un’altra pagina, ma devo solo modificare la home page esistente

Good day to you.

If you open a single article and then scroll down, the next article is automatically loaded and then the next one again.

I really want to switch this off, but I can’t find a hint in the complete documentation.

Where in the documentation is this function explained?

Hey,

It’s the autoload next post feature that can be turned off from Appearance > Customize. For further support, please create a topic at our Support Site – if you have activated the theme license, you should already have received your support password via email (you can use Login > Forgot password? link to get a new one).

Cheers.

Whis version of Elementor comes with the theme? The basic or the pro?

Hey,

It’s the free version with our own blocks and features added on top. However, it’s also compatible with Elementor Pro. While we don’t recommend using the pro version due to performance reasons, but if that’s not a concern, you can use it.

For further support, please create a topic at our Support Site – if you have activated the theme license, you should already have received your support password via email (you can use Login > Forgot password? link to get a new one).

I would like to ask if one can remove (universally) the name of author, date and amount of comments under Titles when viewing category list? And can one remove the same (e.g. By Shane DoeJan 14, 2021Updated:Feb 15, 20213 Comments6 Mins Read) when viewing full post?

Hey,

Thanks for writing to us. Yes, that’s possible via the Customizer. We call these “post meta” items and they can be all be unticked to remove. The same setting also exists for Single Post page.

Cheers.

Thank you. I shall purchase soon.

Hey,

Hi, I am very interested in the overall look of the theme, and I have made a small research regarding the customization of this theme.

Before I purchase, I would like to ask about the one and only potential feature a megazine theme would offer and that is the ‘single post template’

Does smartmag theme support customization for the single post template in elementor or even the theme’s classic editor? Thanks.

Hey,

Thanks for your interest in the theme. To answer your query, the single post design features a few premade layouts as you can see in our demos under “Features” menu. There are a lot of settings in our Customizer to enable / disable several areas, adjust typography of several elements on the single posts. Widgets are usable in the sidebar when enabled, and so on. However, the single post layouts/templates aren’t built using Elementor. This ensures better performance. Further, the posts themselves (the body content of posts), can use either the default WordPress editor (recommended) or classic editor plugin if you want to.

Cheers.

Thanks, I just wanted to know if I am able to enable or disable the meta data in the post layout.

For example, under the title of the post, I don’t want to display some of the meta data such as ‘comments’ and the ‘updated date’. Can this be done in the customizer area? Thanks again.

Yes, you can enable / disable the post meta items or even reorder them.

Cheers.

no, volevo acquistare il tema..ma da 35$ è salito a 59$, perchè?

Hey,

Sorry, that was the discounted price and the sale has ended now. Thanks for your interest.

Cheers.

We used a translator as only speak English here, so apologies if we misunderstood. But if you’re asking if a migration service is included for free, sorry we don’t offer that. However, you should be able to migrate from an old theme without issues by just setting up the theme and running Regenerate Thumbnails, as long as the old theme used standard WordPress features. If the old theme had its own shortcodes that you used in posts, they won’t work anymore.

Thanks.

The theme is compatible with webp images?

Hey,

The theme itself is compatible, yes. However, this would be a feature that’s provided by a webhost, a CDN or a plugin. For further support, please create a topic at our Support Forums – if you have activated the theme license, you should already have received your support password via email (you can use Login > Forgot password? link to get a new one).

Cheers.

Does this theme support premium and free content?

For example, in a post listing, if user is logged in and has an active WooCommerce Subscription, they will be able to view/search both premium and free articles on the site.

If users are not logged in, they can only view/search free articles on the site.

Hey,

There’s no such default features in the theme as it’s supposed to be provided by a plugin. For your needs, you will have to use a membership or restrict content plugin like “Restrict Content Pro” (paid) or “Paid Member Subscriptions” (free). Or if you want to use WooCommerce, there’s a paid WC extension for subscriptions and memberships.

Cheers.

I have tried almost all the major themes, Avada, Enfold, Be, The 7 etc… and IMO they are a pain to setup (and a pain for customers to modify later).

In the end… the lure of Themesphere’s oh so easy to use themes pulls me back and I end up using their themes. For the most part, SmartMag. It is just plain easy to setup and work with.

So, after trying Avada, Enfold, Be and The 7 again this week, I gave up and went with my old standby – SmartMag again. No frustration, no learning curve, nothing complicated. Just a rock solid theme!

Or better put – I own all the most popular themes on Envato, to date none have remained installed on my websites. Websites where I used SmartMag, still have the SmartMag theme installed – some now for several years and they still work properly on all devices!

All that said, It would be good to see a really modern design thrown into the mix soon. Something more suited to the creatives and possibly a corporate look.

Just left a 5 star review… I should have waited until I installed this latest version of SmartMag. It is not what it used to be. More like 3.5 starts now. I am sure it is just as stable as before, but easy editing and setup is gone IMO.

SmartMag used to have it’s own Theme Options admin (not customizer sidebar) and not Elementor.

Personally, I think this latest version is no where near as easy to use. And I am not sure what others think of it, but IMO the “Elementor” editor sucks big time. Not sure why theme authors are using it.

What happened to intuitive page/post editors and easy theme option admins. If this is the future of these themes, will not buy again (nor any theme that does not have it’s own options admin). Nor would I buy any theme that uses Elementor again.

Too bad, this has been my go to theme for several years.

Hey,

Thanks for taking time out for the valuable feedback.

As we addressed in the email, theme options were moved to Customizer with the overwhelming user demand for instant Live Previews of the changes. And it has been standard imposed by WordPress Core since 2015.

Elementor is only needed for homepage. You can build other posts and pages normally using WordPress default editor. We definitely understand Elementor has a learning curve, but it can be quite worth it and it’s extremely flexible. Again this is mostly based on user demand. But we definitely understand not everyone can like it so we’ll consider other options in future as well.

We have replied your feedback email with more info and a few questions if you have the time.

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply…

I am starting to think I am an old timer in this spectrum. Still like to have access to raw code as well as front editor etc and I guess I will have to bite the bullet and learn this new Elementor editor as it does appear so many themes are using it.

I can see why you would try to stay up with what is popular or likely get messages here saying the opposite e.g. Why aren’t you using Elementor?

So thank you and I will try to figure out Elementor as I do like ThemeSphere themes and coding – nothing every seems to go wrong or break (and if it does, TS has always provided a fix very quickly)

Any chance to post a normal support ticket not an ticket on open forum?

Hey,

You can create a topic at our support site and then add a reply marking it as private (there’s a tickbox to set it as private reply). Private posts are only visible to support staff and you. It maybe a bit inconvenient and we’ll offer more support channels in near future, but for now this workaround works.

Cheers.

I have to say it’s the worse support structure I ever experienced – I posted ticket which everyone can see and I didn’t get email notifictation when reply was posted by support staff. Everyone can see my ticket – yet I don’t have access to profile where I can see tickets posted by me – I have to look for them on a main forum board? (lol) Sorry to say but it’s amazingly frustrating and unprofessional ticket handling system…

Sorry to hear about the frustrating experience with our forums system. We understand a forum-based support system isn’t for everyone, but it’s quite common in WordPress themes space with top themes at TF using the same. Sorry but we don’t have a different system yet. While the main topic isn’t private, you can choose to share none of the info in the main post, and add replies instead. When posting a reply, there’s a tickbox to make the post “private” (only visible to staff and you).

That being said, it’s certainly understandable and we’ll be introducing a email support channel as well in near future. But for now, please use the private replies feature.

For email notifications, you should definitely be notified for replies via email. Please check your spam folder and whitelist @theme-sphere.com as well to ensure they replies aren’t ending there.

Thanks.

Presales questions -

1. Does the theme support post updated date ?. I mean does the google search results show updated date ?

2. Is the theme compatible with Wp-rocket caching pluign ?.

3. is the theme compatible with RankMath Seo plugin ?.

4. The post reviews that we publish, do they show up in google search results ?. I mean the ratings and author or reviewer

5. I see the theme supports gutenberg styles. But what are the other shortcodes that comes installed with the theme. May be i missed that seeing in the demo, let me know.

6. i think I also found a bug. None of your posts show published date/updated date in google search – https://snipboard.io/16dfVB.jpg or https://snipboard.io/ZPKw2S.jpg

Hey,

1. Yes, we do have the technical implementation in place.

2. Yes. Or you can use our performance guide for free plugins.

3. No issues with RankMath although we recommend Yoast SEO.

4. This is up to Google to decide based on your content. But we do have the technical implemnetation, the Rich Data Schemas for this.

5. We use Elementor to build homepages on demo. Gutenberg is mainly used for posts.

6. This isn’t a bug. Google won’t show any date (whether published or updated) unless it determines based on its machine learning algorithm that the content is news article or time sensitive. Learn more via SEL Article and SEJ article. Correct schema data and presence of date in ISO 8601 is already there as you can see on our demos. But our demo has dummy content, not real news.

Cheers.

Ok thanks for answering all questions. What are the other blocks that theme offers apart from gutenberg blocks ?.

Hello! My WP version is 5.7, can I still use this theme?

Hey,

Yes of course it’s fully compatible with WordPress 5.7.

Cheers.

your theme is very nice but not having post views and popular articles is a huge deficiency. You should definitely consider this in new updates.

Hey,

Thanks for the suggestion. In our real websites research and our buyer surveys from the last year, we didn’t find much demand for it as most of our buyers liked to keep it private and not shown on the frontend. Which is why we didn’t add it yet.

As for sorting, many webhosts ban post view counters due to heavy database writes (each visit has to be logged in DB so it uses resources), we didn’t consider it as a good solution for now. We do have post views sorting in popular with the Jetpack plugin integration that uses external service and causes no extra load on server. This is available in blocks and widget in sorting once Jetpack plugin is active.

In future releases, we’ll consider adding this with a full implementation but there are some other features with higher priority yet.

Please make sure to add all your feature suggestions here so that we can implement them on next version based on user demand.

Cheers.

Hi there, I really like this theme,
But I have a question.
Does this theme support the first image of the article as a featured image?
Thank you!

Hey,

Thanks for writing to us. The feature you mentioned falls into plugin territory and is easily achievable by using a plugin like quick featured images or easy add thumbnails. And then you can use Customizer setting to disable the featured image in single posts.

Cheers.
