I also notice that in the main block the images are too pixelated.
When entering the note it looks good but I see this even in its own theme:

Hello I detect a bug, when in the home in the large image box I activate the carrousel function and I put more than 3 news items to show, the images stop looking normal, they turn to look gigantic and therefore I cannot use the carrousel function.
If there in that block you activate the carrousel function and add 1 more note, it already breaks … how do I fix this bug?

Thanks for writing to us. We don’t have experience with the mentioned plugin, but this seems like more of a WordPress concern rather than theme’s. Basically it should work with any theme. But for good presentation, you should check if the plugin has a feature to automatically set “featured images” as well.

Is there an option to make the header bar being ALWAYS sticking? All pre-builds I had a look ONLY stick it while scrolling up.

Sorry that’s not a feature in the current version. We removed the always sticky feature in v5 as it was considered an anti-pattern in terms of user experience (UX). If there’s demand for it, we will add it back in a future release. For your second query, if the row you make sticky has the logo, it will be shown.

Thank you for your answer. Your concern about UX is to be appreciated. Some points to be considered:
1. Nielsen Norman Group article from last month suggests to use the “Partially Persistent Headers” only on mobile sites. Source: https://www.nngroup.com/articles/sticky-headers/ (point 4). So if you’re aiming to offer your users the best solution by default (which is great) you should consider doing so without affecting desktop & tablet versions as well.
2. Your theme CheerUp, another top seller theme here on Themeforest, shows an always sticky header on some demos – example: https://cheerup.theme-sphere.com/magazine/ – without having in the description something like “be aware of anti-pattern in terms of user experience option available”.
3. Adding features on users’ demand is wise but you know… sometimes users don’t bother to demand, they just buy another theme and you will never know it’s been because of a missing easy-to-implement feature.
Thanks for the feedback. For CheerUp, both options are available for backward compatibility as too many users were using the always-on option. We’ll consider adding it to SmartMag too in future for desktop/and other large screens only.

The child theme that’s in the child-theme folder, why is it 2 files and not zipped? There’s a function.php and styles.css files, how do I use these? I’ve never seen a separate files in a child theme, usually get a zipped file.

The Child Theme is mainly for developers who will add their modifications in the functions.php or the style.css file. Then they will create a zip file from it or upload it via FTP. You can right click on it on your computer and create a zip file by clicking “Compress” on Mac, and Send To > Compressed on Windows. Without doing any modifications, there’s not much use of using a Child Theme.

I would like to use SmartMag on my websites, but unfortunately you don’t have an option on your theme that asks visitors to disable “adblock”.
Without naming names, there are WordPress themes that have this feature built into their theme. I hope you do too.

This feature is best handled by a dedicated plugin. You can use any plugin of your choice but a lightweight plugin that does it well is Ad Unblocker.

Hi, I was exploring your live demos and they look great, I liked the theme, but I noticed that some important features missing, and I don’t know if the theme has it and only the demo ones don’t have it.
The features I am referring are (1) reading progress bar, which is essential and ca spare using a third party plugin, some themes in themeforest have these features. The (2) feature is language switching.

As for the feature suggestion, unfortunately we don’t have the feature (1) and there hasn’t been any demand for it yet so it’s not on roadmap for a near future version. We’ll consider it in if there’s more demand for it. The multilingual features and language switching would be offered by a multilingual translation plugin like WPML (we have full compatibility with WPML).

Thanks for stopping by. We do have all the ad spots you have mentioned built-in, except for floating ads on side in boxed mode. For this, you will have to use a bit of custom code (our support team can guide you on this code) or a plugin like Advanced Floating Content.

Unfortunately when customizing the theme it takes a long time and just loads the page, breaking the wordpress panel. Several times the page breaks and I can’t work. I’m almost giving up on this topic. Is there a solution for this?

I will post my question on the support website. But I don’t have that support anymore. And paying again doesn’t interest me. When you buy a theme of this size, the least you want is for each update to improve. It seems to me that this was not the case.

Since you purchased the theme in 2015, it’s not entirely unfair to ask for support renewal after 6 years. And in 6 years, a lot has changed. So the webhost configurations might not be up to the mark, any custom code/html/js added in a widget may be conflicting, or some files may be corrupted.

I just updated WP from 5.4.2 to 5.7.1 and most of the images have stopped showing on front-end. Most of them are visible on hover only. Tried disabling caching plugin and other image related ones, didn’t help. How to fix this? Website: https://pruvodcevyzivou.cz/.
