I put an image in the background and set a URL to use it as a ‘site skin advert’... but the ‘click zone’ doesn’t happen until near the bottom of the page. Very strange. Background: Changed correctly and shows the right image. Set advert URL: Also works – clickable and goes to the right place. Clickable Area: Starts around 1,300 pixels down the page. Click in the first 1,300 pixels – nothing – the cursor is an arrow. Click just after 1,300 pixels down the page – works fine.
Any idea why?

Really love the theme but after an update Font Awesome no longer works I’m missing a lot of icons even though some seem to still work.
Having to pay 40$ to get support feels very steep for something that just doesn’t work :/

Thank you for responding – The site URL is https://bareos3.dk/ – Its mainly the calendar icons for the posts and suddenly icons like the “Facebook” Social icon in the top is also missing but the others are still present.

Regarding this thing, please try to go WP Dashboard > Elementor > Settings > Advanced tab > Load Font Awesome 4 Support > select No.
If the problem still persist you can try to add this CSS code below to the Customize > Additional CSS:

Hi, when I add new posts, they are not visible in the front page or in the category, as if it was cache enabled. But cache is not enabled. If I create a new page and add a regular Elementor posts widget, the new posts are visible (date DESC sorting). And in edit mode, when adding the Elementor posts widget, also the Jnews widget updates and shows the newest posts. But not in frontend. It’s like the WP query was disturbed in some way, and adding the Elementor posts widgets temporarily resets the Query, but doesn’t updated front end.
Also, inside Customizer – Optimize Assets: If I enable it, the customizer show the newest posts. Also if I disable it. Any change here makes new post visible (and the layout template also changed to another one…), but only in preview. Visiting the site normally (logged in or not) the new posts are still not at top. Looking forward for a solution, thank you.

Had purchased the theme quite sometime back but have started using same on a project now. My support had expired without using same. Quite a lot of modules are not loading in Gutenberg editor. Module 8,9,11,14,15,18 and lot more give error loading blocks. Any solution? Do not want to use Elementor or WP Bakery Page builders as they slow the site speed scores substantially.

JNews is propably most complete publishing theme. Congratulations!
However is there a chance to implement little more extended comment system so that users of JNews can opt out of WPDiscuz entirely?
I mean, first of all, the possibility of adding a photo to the comment…
This would greatly expand the attractiveness of the discussion and most complete publishing theme will be even much more complete

It seems you need to do some changes to achieve that. Currently, we only provide Facebook, Disqus, and default WP comment systems.
I think you can try to use the Disqus comment system.

Hi, anytime we publish a new articles in only shows the html tags instead of the clean easy to read article. This happens on some phones and some computers and not on others. I tried updating the theme by downloading a new theme and installing it but that didn’t work. 1. How do i update the theme otherwise? 2. How do I work around the backend html text and tags showing on the front end when the article is published?

Unfortunately, we don’t have this feature and for now, we don’t have a plan to implement this feature. We will check it further. But in this case, we can’t promise we will add this feature to JNews. If we get more requests from our clients, we will consider this thing.

It’s very, very, bad that there are no such convenient functions!
Plugins do not solve this issue! 
Example: 1. Create a category – CAT123. 2. I set a new menu MENU123, and a logo for the CAT123 category.
In the CAT123 category, and in all posts belonging to this CAT123 category, MENU123 is displayed, and the logo. And there is no need to select the menu and logo separately in the post.
These features make your work easier and make your WordPress theme much broader to work with!

Hi I see that you have Podcast System, Food Recipe Post, Subscription System, Sponsored Posts and even Frontend Post Submission, but I don’t see anything specific for magazines. What I mean is a post type for articles or issues?
Also it is required to use WPBakery or Elementor? While both may be good options, I prefer not to have to depend on additional plugins.
Also in the backend demos there aren’t any options for WooCommerce. Is it possible to add products to posts, home page and other places?

We use default post type as article. We don’t create separate post type for the article.
You can choose one of theme. You can choose WPBakery or Elementor for page builder. We also provide a shortcode generator for our block module elements.

Currently I’m using IssueM for our articles and magazine issues to have more control. We have over 40 years of our print magazines that we are converting to digital so organizing them is very important. I just thought that since this was a magazine focused theme it had features that would allow us to not have to use IssueM, Leaky Paywall and DFlip plugins. But I think I can write some custom code to make it work.
Yes I did see that demo that had the products. Ok as long as I’m not forced to use a page builder, I think this might work. Again thanks.
Hi again. So I’ve purchased the theme and been trying to set it up for the past few hours.
1) The instructions are just ok and don’t reference all of the updated features, but that’s ok.
2) The Weather Forecast Source settings for Open Weather Map API Key doesn’t function properly. I already had an API key and was using it previously with no problems. When I input the API into your theme/ plugin, it doesn’t show anything, I’ve created a new key and same thing. Not sure what the problem is. I have Awesome Weather Widget installed and the Open Weather Map API Key works perfectly. If I use my Yahoo App ID info your weather theme/plugin works.
3) So is it that the all of the additional custom fields for all of your plugins only work in the Wordpress default post type … ie video, split post, etc? In the customizer I see Custom Post Type under additional settings, but looking at a post under any of my Custom Post Types none of the settings for any your plugins show. Is this something that is possible, to have your plugins function with custom post types?
Also how do I remove Facebook Comments Plugin?
Actually how do we remove anything related to Facebook from your theme/ plugins? We don’t want anything related to Facebook on our site showing.

Ok so I tried to install this on our main site, spent all of yesterday, 12 hours, trying to set it up. While there are some issues, I’m sure you guys could resolve. Like the ones I mentioned before, but …
The biggest problem that I have is that this only works with the default Wordpress posts. Even though everywhere in your pitch here on Themeforest and your website it consistently mentions working with custom posts, it actually does not work with custom posts. I don’t say this to turn anyone off from buying it, but this is kind of misleading as I had expected based on what is presented that this is for magazines.
This is not for magazines, there are no features specific to magazines. Magazines have issues and those issues have articles. Wordpress in its default posts, categories and tags can not support organizing and publishing magazines properly therefore it has to have either a custom post type, plugin or something to achieve this.
Again I thought based on what’s presented that your theme and plugins offered something for magazines, it doesn’t. Knowing that it doesn’t, you would think your theme would at least be compatible with other custom post types that magazines could implement to make it functional, but it doesn’t.
I looked here through other support questions and you guys consistently refer customers to your own website for support, which is locked to only customers who have purchased your theme. Tat’s understandable, but had I been able to see the responses regarding custom post types on your private support site, I wouldn’t have purchased this. Your support team have consistently responded to questions about custom post types as not being supported. Which is also fine, but you should take the core of those questions and put them in the faq here in the description so people can see what is actually supported for custom post types.
At this point I’m requesting a refund seeing as your theme may be great for an online blog type, but it is not for a print magazine that has a website.

We need the theme and plugins that come with it to function for custom post types. None of the features/ modules show in any of the custom post types. They only show in the default wordpress post type. We looked here on in the comments and you consistently referred customers to your own support site for more help. So looking on your support site …

I spent hours installing, testing, reading your documentation and support website trying to setup this up to work with custom post types. Again none of the features/ modules show in any of the custom post types.
Again we are using this for a real magazine not an online magazine, which means we have custom post types to help separate our posts. I am open to different ideas or suggestions on how your theme, plugins and modules can be used to accommodate custom post types or custom taxonomies.

In this case, you will need to do custom changes to make it work with Custom Post Type.
