¡Hola Codetipi! Antes de nada, decir que no puedo abrir un ticket de soporte, porque no tengo el soporte activo. Esto es un mensaje para anunciar un bug de la última versión de Zeen (4.0.5), o del plugin Let’s Review en su versión 3.3.4, por lo que sería un bug a arreglar (no sé cómo notificar estos problemas, que deben ocurrir a todos los usuarios, sin tener soporte activo).
Tras la última actualización, tras guardar un post con review activa, el campo de puntuación aparece en blanco, como si no se hubiera puesto una puntuación. Ocurre lo mismo con los PROS y CONTRAS, aparecen en blanco, pero el texto está ahí: cada vez que guardas un borrador, se añaden espacios en blanco. Al mirar la preview del post, aparece puntuación, PROS y CONTRAS.

Just testet the Update on a staging site and experiencing many Problems. Especially a major one with the official WooCommerce Plugin “Product Add-Ons”, what causes that the variable product with a mandatory Product Add-On can’t be added to the Cart (Because the mandatory variable/option is missing). Also our variable Products are showing the different variant options in the Shop and on differente Blocks – can’t find a way to deactivate that, other than using css.

Update 4.0.5:
- Zeen’s Welcome screen still shows 4.0.4
- Let’s Info Up is still version 1.4.3, not 1.4.4 as the changelog shows!
Everything will be OK?
After login this morning, Zeen’s Welcome screen is now 4.0.5 as it should be!

Did you try the documentation steps to try to debug what is going on? As it worked for you before, it means it’s almost 100% certain to be caused by some change on your site. Did you install new plugins recently for example? Perhaps one of them is not coded well and causes conflict issues elsewhere. Try disabling all your plugins to test if this is true.

Hi, yes, I disabled all plugins except zeen engine, but still it doesn’t work.

A 500 error means a server error is occurring somewhere. But it definitely isn’t the theme or builder causing it, as they 100% work fine. Did you open a ticket with admin login details for support to investigate for you?
Solved by deleting and reinstalling the theme and deleting and rewriting htaccess.
Ah great news, happy it’s all good Must have been something in the htaccess I think.
Suggestion: On WooCommerce product listings, the review stars should link through to reviews. So, on clicking the stars, you’re directed to the reviews of those stars.
This occurred on my site prior to V4 – not sure if it was a conscious decision or not.

Since the update about 2 weeks ago, certain features on mobile have been broken: videos embedded on pages with tipi builder seem to timeout and the caterogory streams don’t respond accurately to the screen size. By Membership plugin, do you mean pay-to-read-article type plugins? If so, I’ve seen multiple users do this with random plugins, so it definitely is possible.
Currently, Zeen is being looked at being made officially compatible with Restrict Content Pro Plugin. Is that something that would interest you?

RCP is very good and stable.
When it comes to integration, I mean not only “officially compatible” but also visually matching with theme like some other themes in Themeforest.
That’s good to hear and yeah that’s what I meant by officially compatible – matching the theme’s design. I’m fairly certain the plugin is probably compatible with Zeen, but the design would be the plugin’s default design and it also hasn’t been 100% tested, that’s why I can’t really promise full compatibility right now.
This is all being looked at for Zeen v4.1, so whatever the current situation, it should be fully compatible/integrated/styled for that update regardless

Woocommerce cart totals are showing vertically on both the cart page and the checkout page. Why would that be?
The text “Subtotal” and “Total” are showing vertically.
They are also showing that way on the demo if you look at the checkout page. It’s extremely tacky especially on mobile. How can we fix this?

? We’re not buying another license just to ask one question about a problem that not only our installation shows but it also shows on your DEMO. That means it’s literally being overlooked! We tried opening a ticket but your system wouldn’t allow us to submit because our “license” isn’t up to date! This is the first time we’ve even thought about using the theme since purchasing! This is or should’ve been an easy fix! It shouldn’t even exist, but instead of kindly being professional enough to back your own product with a customer this is what we get? Seriously? For one small issue, that’s obviously not the fault of the CUSTOMER CHECK YOUR DEMO.

And with hundreds of support tickets opened every week, it is only fair that they get full priority for Codetipi’s world class and speedy support.
As you mentioned the demo site showing the issue though, I did escalate it before anyway and it has been patched up already on the demo sites. It will be included in the next Zeen update release, but until then add this custom css to patch it up:

Hi, We understand your position, as I stated however most authors don’t mind a quick fix or encouraging resolution other than a formal ticket submission via comments or messaging. We certainly don’t intend on and don’t see the need in purchasing extended support for something that’s so obviously a theme error , and can be rectified fairly easy. Either way, the css patch didn’t work. I ended up having to go into the woocommerce.min.css files and add a line that actually works. In any case, we do love the theme, and thanks for your help. If we decide to use the theme for any other projects we’ll just purchase a new license w/support. That we could actually justify.

And re support, personally I argued with Envato about the system when they decided to implement it. So my stance now is to recommend to customers to just buy a new license, as even though it costs slightly more than support extension, you still get 6 months of support + another license that you can use in future projects.

Dear @codetipi, you states that Co-Authors Plus plugin is supported, it’s the first in the list, but the author.php doesn’t show the left sidebar on a Co-Authors’ author. The $author variabile is “false”. Please check.

Prior to version 4.0.4 I was able to show the post thumbnails in landscape/rectangular mode, now the posts thumbnails are showing in square mode on mobile website.
Do I need to change anything to get the original look back?

I believe this is a bug. It happens when classic blog posts are displayed on mobile only (desktop unticked). The next pile of articles (with load more button) are displayed in landscape mode.
Ah this isn’t a bug – it’s an intentional change to help improve web vitals. The image used is specifically for that – you’ll get higher PSI scores with it vs how it was. Have you opted in to the Zeen web vitals hook in your child theme by any chance?

The issue is that there are no small thumbnails that shape! If you don’t use squares anywhere, you can control this though in Settings > Media and changing thumbnails to be landscape proportions. Then running regenerate thumbnails plugin to update them

Hi again, the latest update went smoothly except for the Logos that were reverted to ZEEN logos, meanwhile, 2 things I noticed on the go:
1) I think this is recurring from previous versions, there’s a warning under the Login Ajax settings that is preventing us from saving any changes in the settings, I think in parallel its rendering the Registration option to not work.

2) The Zeen: Social Icons, when they are set to Dark color theme (black color) and the Reading Mode is Dark mode, we cannot see the icons, vice versa if we set them to Light theme and are in Daytime reading mode.
Question: Can we disable the Final Score slider for end users or hide it when submitting a Review? Reason I ask is, if they already set values to the Criterias, why would they have the option to adjust the final score? Wouldn’t that mess the actual criteria score if initially it summed up to 70% but then the user decides to modify the final score to 50%?
I did a test where I set all 5 criterias to 70%, this naturally gave a Final score of 70%, but then I changed the Final Score to 50% and submitted the Review, the result took on the Final score and not the actual sum of the 5 criterias, hope I’m making sense?
Sorry I forgot to add that the Final score turned out to be 50% yet all 5 criterias are showing 70%, the sum of those 5 criterias doesnt reflect the actual average, hence asking if we can disable the Final Score slider when submitting Reviews or at least not take the User’s input of the Final Score and only the average sum of the main criterias.

I’m not 100% sure about that one, as Unsplash is quite a unique site (social network features, very big database of info, etc), I’m not 100% sure it’s realistic to try to recreate it in WordPress.

hahaha. No, not the deep custom one. This is a new project and at the moment I am using the free Eksell theme by Anders Noren, but I found it really too simple. Then all suddenly I was looking at Mock and found out I could modify it a bit to achieve what I really need. To be honest, I’m too dependent on your pre built demos. They are already perfect. Zeen forever!
Hope you could make one more sort of portfolio type demo in the future.. Would love to use it..hahaha
