Hi there, I notice when I go to blog page (news) that the first page is showing 4 items in a row. Second, third etc. pages are showing only 3 items on desktop/laptop. Don’t know where to search or change this. You have any idea?

Hey Mikel2020, in your WP admin > settings > reading, can you ensure your “Blog pages show at most” field is set correctly?
I not use the static blogpage for news items. I created a page ‘news’ and selected a blog section in wpbakery. Now I just see that I selected post per page = 3. Now changed this to 4…. But now the first page is showing 5 news items and rest 4. This because I have one sticky news item. Is there an easy way to keep the sticky item and show 4 news items on the first page?

That’s the default WordPress behavior – sticky posts get added on top of the current query posts per page. Altering that would require some custom PHP in your child theme functions.php file.

It looks like the wishlist plugin is not currently active on your URL when I checked – it’ll need to be in order for me to assist with the CSS related to #1 and #2.
In regards to adding the wishlist button next to the add to cart on the single page, I installed the plugin locally and can already see it appearing in that location. Why iconsmind font took so much network payload? How can I reduce it?

Iconsmind is a large icon library – the alternative to loading the icon font would be to use the SVG version. In order to load that instead, you’ll need to unzip the “icons.zip” at salient/css/fonts/svg-iconsmind. Once that’s unzipped, the SVG versions will be used in place of the font family.
Hi there, regarding your article I tried to use W3 total cache, but it ruined my whole website. It started with not displaying items and mainly CSS problems. Refreshed browser and mostly the pages looks good again. Cant expect clients to do this and first impression has to be good.
So I decided to deactivate minify CSS/JS, but specs are very low. Played around a bit with some settings and then the homepage in Firefox is messed up incl. blog pages. Decided to delete the plugin (followed tutorial) but nothing changed 
Going back to a backup.
Anyway, long story short… I think this cant be caused by plugins. Maybe it is because of the theme is already having minified files? I do not know exactly. Can you tell me? Is it maybe a solution to exclude a bunch of files? I do understand if you not support this but I will give it a try.
Other question regarding my previous one… do I have to enable Salient > CSS/Script Related > ‘Force Dynamic CSS to Inline In Head’ while using a cache plugin?

1. When you enable minification from W3, the first time you visit the pages the CSS needs to be compiled into the new single condensed file, so the layout can look off. However, once the file is created it will be used in the future and the display issue should not reoccur.
2. You can activate that option only if you notice that theme settings are not reflecting changes on the front-end. Many caching plugins exclude logged in users from viewing the cached files, so you might not need to.

Hello, what is the most recent WooCommerce version that is compatible with Salient v 13.0.5?
I see that in the right column of this page (in the theme info section) “WooCommerce 5.1.x” is the latest version mentioned.
However, in the changelog, it says WooCommerce 5.2 compatibility was added to Salient v 13.0.5. Can I use WooCommerce 5.2.2 or only 5.2?

Would like to make sure that with woocommerce products shortcode the products displayed in the slider can also scroll using apple touchpad. at the moment the scroll is done by drag and drop from the desk view.
How can this feature be enabled?

Hey plasmedia, Unfortunately, there’s no built-in functionality to allow for that. In order for it to react to a touchpad without clicking for the drag, the element would need to remove the carousel functionality and instead use a standard scrollbar (overflow-x: scroll)

Hey Rofe! The Rotating words element gives you the option to select the “Heading tag” when editing the element. The heading tag typography is defined by you in the Salient options panel > typography > general HTML elements tab.

Hi, I’m experiencing an issue with the responsive options of columns. I’ve chosen the following settings:
width: 2/3 large width: 2/3 medium width: 3/4 small: default extra small: 11/12
Now the issue is that the width for the small screen doesn’t work. The width changes directly from 3/4 to 11/12 when resizing the browser window. This this happend to me a few times now, when setting a value for each width.

When I create a new Slider Location it doesn’t register anywhere. I can see the new locations in the Slider Locations list just fine, but they don’t show up in the Slide Ordering drop-down, and when I try to add a Nectar Slider to a page, it says:
“You currently don’t have any Slider Locations setup. Please create some and add assign slides to them before using this!”
I’ve created Slider Locations and Slides. But when I go to the “Slide Ordering” admin screen, or when I try to place a slider on a Page, there are no Slider Locations in the list.
- I have tried disabling plugins and have deleted and re-created all Slider Locations and Slides.
- I’m running current versions of WP, Salient, and PHP 7.4.20.
- I am using the parent theme with no customizations.
- This is a brand new site.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello, I need help. I build a website on my local server with khmer unicode, and it works well, but then when I host it on the server, all the unicode characters turn in to ???? , and when I check the font it all changed to default in English. Is there any way I could fix this? oh, and my database is set to utf8.

That sounds like an issue with your DB charset/collate, as unicode characters which can’t be stored will end up as question marks. Have you tried to contact your hosting company in regards for further assistance?

I have a question regarding Nectar Slider. We have set the Slide Font Color to ‘Light’ in the 3rd slide. During the first few seconds, it shows the correct Light font header color but after that, the header font color changed to Black. May I know if we can keep the Light font color until it is changed to the next slide?

It looks like that’s occurring due to the 2nd Nectar Slider set on autorotation which you’re using for the mobile specific display. Try to either remove the autorotation on that instance or move the slider to its own row.
