Our theme is a WordPress theme and the other one is an HTML template, so it depends on which platform you wish to use. This is totally different theme author and our theme has existed a way back before this one has been released. Anyway, it is a great difference between an HTML template and a WordPress theme.

I am aware one is WordPress and one is html. But I am also aware they are different authors and wanted to mention how one of you is copying the other. It is interesting that you are not concerned that another author on this platform is ripping off your designs and making a profit from it, unless of course it is the other way around.

We didn’t include compatibility with WP 5.8 yet. It would be best to wait until we release an official update, but you can also try using Classic Widgets plugin as a temporary solution if you run into issues with widgets on the latest WordPress version. We hope that the update will be available soon.
This theme doesn’t have membership functionality, so everything has to be posted by the admin.

Please make sure that you updated the PlaxerX Core plugin to the latest version as well. The latest version of Core is 1.1.1, and if you need instructions on how to update the theme and included plugins, you can refer to the following article: How To Update A WordPress Theme And Plugins.
In addition, we didn’t include compatibility with the latest version of WordPress just yet, however, we are working hard on adding compatibility for that version as well. By then install and activate Classic Widgets plugin in case you’re experiencing issues with widgets.

Ehm… It says recently updated (2 September 21) but the file Version is the same and the Changelog is still the same Version. Did you update it really or not? Whats new or what buggs are fixed? Any news maybe available for us?

The update from 2nd September didn’t affect theme files, and you are free to take a look changelog at the bottom of the official ThemeForest page of the PlayerX theme.

Regarding the issues you have with widgets, please understand that we didn’t include compatibility with the latest version of WordPress yet and we are working on adding compatibility for that version as well. By then install and activate Classic Widgets plugin.

I found the demo site to load very slowly on mobile and pc, so what should be the CPU and Hosting requirements for this theme (Example 1 cpu, 1gb ram…)

Please note that for our demo site, we haven’t done specific site speed optimization because the main accent was put on showing all the features and elements from the theme, as well as keeping the highest quality of the photos. There are many ways and tricks for improving WordPress site speed. A balance between size and quality is necessary. A good hosting server is also very important for the site’s performance. We always give advises to our users in support tickets when they build a site in our theme, what steps they should take in order to improve the speed.

Our dev team is working hard at the moment on updating all our themes. We don’t have any ETA when this update will come out, however, we can say that the theme is compatible with the versions of WordPress up to 5.7 and you can always check the article in this link.
We haven’t tested our theme with WP 5.8 yet. It would be best to wait until we release an official update, but you can also try using this plugin as a temporary solution if you run into issues with widgets on the latest WordPress version.
Theme colors are customizable and you can easily change colors of different elements (header, footer, fonts page/section backgrounds, buttons…) through theme and shortcode options.

WordPress 5.8 adds new Widgets, in this case i have to report this:
> In Player X theme you are not able to add individual new Widgets like before. Before WordPress update, you was able to create individual widgets and you was able to show it on individual pages!

I am disappointed that you don’t care. WordPress sends automatically Error Report to my E-Mail address, and you can clearly see, that your theme is outdated and need to be updated.

I get an E-mail from Support and they are aware of all those issues and they confirmed, that they are working on update and fix those issues. The new Wordpress 5.8 update effects all Wordpress Themes, its not only yours. I have 230 different themes, 80% are effected by WP 5.8.

Please we beg you here for Updates for PHP +8.0 , now we have problems with the new Wordpress Version. Do we, the customers have to get on the knees and beg you for update? Why you dont support such a great theme? For sure you update Overworld – Theme, but Player-X you dont care?

I investigated now the issue, after i installed WP 5.8 they added new Widgets Function. Now Woocommerce is the issue, when deactivated, error is gone, when activated, error is there.
The other thing i dont understand, in the errror it says, that the issue is in Player X Theme folders /wp-content/themes/playerx/framework/modules/woocommerce/widgets/woocommerce-dropdown-cart/
This is really mad, either you just shut down all updates and run wordpress in this way, or you have to solve tons of issues. My experiencing is saying, Wordpress is not good for business, because simply its not working at all, just issues, fixing stuff and so on. Even as Blog you have to be careful.
But thank you, in this case i dont know, what is the problem, your theme because it says its in the theme, or woocommerce, i dont know whom i can blame now.
But please dont stop updating Player X!^
PS: The widget on my website are showing, only in Admin widgets are not reachable!

As i know PlayerX theme have own woocommerce (templates) folder and it seems to be incompatible with the new woocommerce. https://developer.woocommerce.com/2021/07/13/developer-advisory-woocommerce-5-5-and-wordpress-5-8/
I bet that you have to update the woocomemrce files from the folder /wp-content/themes/playerx/framework/modules/woocommerce/ to match the new woocommerce files!

Sorry but this image shows the page functions. When you are in the product page, you dont have those Edge General; Edge Blog… Edge Title and so on… It seems this is not available for woocommerce
