Hi, I am currently updating the theme towards V4, thank you for this new one! May I ask you why you decided to limit the columns to 2 or 3 in the accommodation listings? It used to go to 5 and beyond previously and I would absolutely need 5, otherwise the whole thing looks awful. I am struggling to find where I can change this directly in the code. Surely there is an easy fix for this one. Thanks! Isabelle

Hi Isabelle,

You’re welcome, I hope the new update will work well for you. Regarding columns, in my opinion 5 columns is too many for this type of content, I think the content will be too squashed together. But like you say it’s pretty easy to modify this, if you open a support ticket I’ll be happy to advise.

Best regards

There are document of instruction for the update to V4?

Hi ximomartinez,

I’ll be releasing a guide and more documentation soon.

Best regards

Hi Nick, any documentation to update to the latest version 4 ? Will it work smoothly this time (upgrade from previous to 4) or did you change the data model ? thanks

Hi triptop,

1.) Any documentation to update to the latest version 4: Not yet but I’m working on it, I’ll add some documentation for this soon

2.) Will it work smoothly this time (upgrade from previous to 4) or did you change the data model? Shortcodes are mostly the same, but the data model for accommodation and pricing has changed because I’ve added a lot of new features

Best regards

Hi Nick, so I guess migration is not possible, we have to do a fresh install and start again. I am ready to buy a tool that migrate ALL my content to V4, because that’s a lot of work. I supposed that I won’t be the only one in that case. Kind Regards

Thanks for the suggestion, yes I agree that would be useful, I’ll look into developing something like this.

Best regards

Hello Soho Team,

I uploaded the new version of the Soho theme and then got this error:

If I deactivate the Booking Plugin then the site works although everything is unaligned and there’s an added News container at the top that I didn’t put there. Thank you, Tracey

Hi Tracey,

There should be a message at the top of your WordPress dashboard telling you to install the required plugins, click on “Install Plugins” and install the WooCommerce plugin.

Best regards

Hi Nick,

I did add the WooCommerce but the booking calendar has disappeared on most pages and the pages where it remains the formatting is off. https://cornwallsunnyside.com/bookings/ Thank you, Tracey

Hi Tracey,

Everything looks fine on the booking page you linked. Bear in mind the new update changes the design fairly significantly.

For the other pages, you’ll need to add some elements again via the page builder. If you’re having trouble doing this you can email me at hello@quitenicestuff.com and I’ll guide you through the process.

Hi good job, is it possible to book single rooms or the whole apartment?

Thank you

Hi masteradminluca,

Sorry for the slightly delayed response, I’ve just emailed you.

Best regards

Hi Nick,

Example: the apartment can accommodate 6 people. Room 2.

how do i limit the room to accommodate 2 guests?

I sent you the email with screenshots

Thanks

Hi masteradminluca,

I’ve just responded to your email.

Best regards

do you have any option in single hotel alone style to show howmany number of rooms left, or for example if we have 4 number of rooms 2rooms booked for a specific date and we want to show only 2rooms available on that specific date

Hi DigitLake,

Thanks for your interest.

Yes Soho Hotel can manage room availability, so if you have 4 rooms, and 2 are booked, only 2 will be available for others to book.

Is the issue with Stripe sorted yet? The validation doesn’t work in europe

Hi claremcsharry,

Yes, I’ll be releasing an update very shortly.

Best regards

Hi, Any news for the update ?? You previously told me that you’re releasing soon a new version including WooCommerce / Payments via WooCommerce

Hi Octeria,

The update is complete, I’m working on the final things such as the demo website at the moment. It will be released very soon.

Best regards

Can you put variables into the Customer Booking Confirmation Email Body section at all? for example, ” Hello first_name , thank you for booking the room_name with us and paying via payment_type ” etc etc

Hi VillaSintra,

Please open a support ticket and I’ll be happy to help: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

IS there a possibility in the next release that you include the details of the TAX being charged in the price breakdown screen? At the moment the final price for the booking includes the tax, but no indication of what the tax breakdown is.

For example, the room costs $290 per night, the final price is $638 (2 x $290 + 10% tax), but the screen only shows the final price of $638. Customers may get confused as to why that is the final price, if the room itself is only supposed to be $290 per night for two nights.

We could adjust the pricing so that it reflects the inclusive price of 10% tax, and disable the tax amount, but it would be nicer to have the breakdown separated on the booking page.

cheers, done

Hi, is the theme also compatible with elementor? Or it must be configured only with wpbakery? Thank you

Hi seoergoweb,

Thanks for your interest.

The theme is packaged with and designed to be used with WP Bakery Page Builder.

When is the WooCommerce payment integration will be available. You assured us that it was coming soon that you were on the final stages. Can we be given estimated tentative time line or range of probable release?

Hi Omooka,

I can’t give a precise release date, but it’s coming very soon.

To provide info about the current status, the update itself is complete, I’m just working on documentation and other final things now.

Thanks for your patience.

Is there a confirmed date for the update please? We’re waiting on the woo addition

Out of curiosity, does the newest version of the shortcodes include the intro-section.php? It was a really important part of the old page design, and I notice it is no longer in the includes/shortcodes directory of v3.0. Would like to know if it was replaced with something else, or just not included anymore? I was expecting to find a sohohotel-intro-section.php as a replacement.

Can I just confirm that the $62 is for the entire theme plus the plugins? Not sure if you have changed the packages or not

Hi VillaSintra,

Yes everything you need is included in the package.

Best regards

awesome, thank you

When the WooCommerce payment integration will be available. I’m waiting for 3 months now..?

Hi mana91,

Thanks for your patience, the update is coming soon.

It’s mostly complete, I’m just working on final things now.

Hello, I got an issue with the work of the theme and the WPML language switcher. WPML support theme is asking me to consult the theme provider is the same issue with drop-down language switcher was already announced before. Could you please let me know if I need to buy first the support licenses to ask this kind of questions? Question just in case: the drop down language switcher does not work in the top right navigation spot. Is it solvable?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards, Damira

Hi Damira,

Ok please email me your website URL and login details and I’ll take a look: hello@quitenicestuff.com

I’ve just taken over hosting for a client who has v2.2.2 of SohoHotel, this is the first time I’ve encountered this particular theme and plugin set. Not 100% sure why the auto-update feature isn’t working for the theme. Is there anywhere I can check for a licence code, or some other feature which verifies it’s a legit copy, and if support or free updates has run out.

I have it now using a child theme at the very least, but still concerned it’s sitting at v2.2.2 and no apparent way to update it. If it’s not a theme issue, then will have to delve deeper into the WP installation to see if something is stopping it.

They can’t find their Envato email from purchase, but tell me it was bought through their previous hosting company, and they weren’t overly forthcoming with any details relating to the purchase. It seems to be the real deal from what I can see, but unsure as to why it isn’t updating. If you could possibly point me into a few directions It would be most appreciated.

I have tried searching for add_filter(‘auto_update_plugin’, in all of the files just in case someone manually put it in there to stop it from breaking. When I took over the site, it was still using WP version 4.9.15 and nothing had been updated in ages.

Both the Soho Hotel Booking & Soho Hotel Shortcodes & Post Types are showing v2.2.2

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately the only problem is as stated in my original post. “They can’t find their Envato email from purchase, but tell me it was bought through their previous hosting company, and they weren’t overly forthcoming with any details relating to the purchase.”

So I guess my question would be, is there anywhere in the plugin/theme that tells me what the serial number/activation code might be, so that I can provide it to you for support?

I can’t open a support ticket because it asks for an Envato code (which as mentioned, we don’t have). Short of that, we are up for another US$62 to get another copy of it and re-register everything in the administrators name for Villa Sintra.

Hi VillaSintra,

The only way to access the purchase code is via your Themeforest downloads page, so if someone else purchased the theme for you, you’ll need to contact them and ask them to do it.

But even if you’re able to get access to the purchase code, this will not give you access to updates, these can only be accessed via your Themeforest download’s page whilst logged in as the purchasing account.

If you do plan to re-purchase, I recommend you tell your client to purchase the theme themselves (rather than you purchasing for them) and they should make a note of their Themeforest login details so they can always retain access to updates and avoid this situation in future.

Best regards

yep that’s exactly what I have suggested, if they purchase again, which I suspect they will, the purchase will be in their own name with their contact details. It’s unfortunate, I would have assumed a licence key would be better which allows auto updates (like WP Bakery, Divi and the likes) so if this sort of thing ever occurs again, it’s not going to cost the client dollars every time they encounter a developer or hoster who won’t come to the party. Thanks anyway, will proceed with our original plan.
