Based on your team’s recommendation that version 3.2 is good to go into production and that we should test it on a test environment, we went ahead and applied the theme and the modifications to our labs domain, after few trial and errors we wanted to export the settings file to upload on our Production environment.
But we were unable to do so. It kept saying that the license is in use on the labs domain, we deleted the license from the labs domain, hoping that it would resolve the issue, but that didn’t happen and now we are kinda stuck.
We have already raised a ticket with you, but no response on the same yet, here is the ticket number: ARP-9PX-MVZZ

If i update from 3.1.8 to Journal v.3.2 beta 11 do i need to reconfigure anything? Is it just a simple update like the versions before? Do i need to pay attention to something? Is there any change log file to check what have you changed?
Hi, yes it’s a regular update, you don’t need to do anything special.
We don’t have a standard changelog yet, but you can read about some of the features on the beta page: https://www.journal-theme.com/beta-v32/
Journal 3.2 should not reset your existing Journal 3 design, but may interfere with custom code modifications or some 3rd party extensions. We recommend you first try it on a separate test environment and if you run into any issues use the dedicated email address or file a ticket on our support page.

Hi, you may have modified a variable color from Journal > Variables > Colors… which may have been also applied on the body background in Journal > Styles > Page Layout > [Your Active Style] > ...

Hello, I use the opencart 3.0.3.2 and Journal 3 and I inserted in Design-> Seo url the query = checkout/success and the keyword = checkout_success. When I buy something the url of success page doesn’t change. What else I have to do??

Is it possible to add multiple values to an attribute, delimited with coma (RAM: 4GB, 8GB) and be presented by the Journal Filter as different values on the frontend?

I have attribute RAM: with two value 4GB, 8GB ( 2 attribute values separated by separator ,) so filter display only one attribute the first one 4GB, what i need to do to get in filter two attributes 4GB, 8GB for this product. When i click on 4B i see but i dont have 8G atrribute how i can choise and get again the same product but in ellection of 8GB attribute.

H, yes you can use it. We still don’t have an exact release date but that’s coming soon – the reason for the delay is related to the redesign of the demos which takes a lot of time, but the underlying theme engine is the same so you can use it.

So finally after several months of using Journal without any bugs, I’ve come across one(though it may well be an issue at my end).
The “Additional Options” settings are not getting saved for me anywhere in the theme. Screengrab below:

What could be causing this to happen? There are no errors generated in sql & apache logs or opencart logs.

I currently have a website am happy with the look of it, however, every time I update the OC, I have to re design again.
If I buy your extension and use one of your demos, can I edit and preview before publishing it. I don’t want my visitor see that my website is keep changing as I’m editing. Basically I can’t risk losing customers because of the new theme that needs a few adjustments.

Hi, you can set up a separate development environment and customize your Journal store there until you’re happy with it. Then, it’s just a matter of exporting your design and importing it to your live store – same as you would export a demo from us and import it into your own environment.

Hey Digital Atelier Could you please advise what we should do with multilingual? The Journal 3.2 doesn’t support any third party extensions for multilingual. And none of OpenCart developers can fix it (we’ve asked about 10-12 developers and they said the new Journal ignores a lot of OpenCart principes). If you guys make an absolutely new theme that you should take responsibility for your clients. We are relly respect all the Digital Atelier team and your work. It’s fantastic. But please try to understand us (your clients) and our bussiness. We create a lot of websites with the Joutnal theme. But the multilingual is super importan t for SEO. As the new Journal doesn’t support a lot of third part extention so please, create your own one. Or implement your own solution for multilingual websites. There are two criticaly important things: adding the hreflang tag (ex. <link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”lang_code” href=”url_of_page” />. Hi, Journal 3.2 follows as much as possible Opencart standards. However, Opencart itself has some limitations for customisation as well as performance bottlenecks, one of which is related to how SEO urls are generated, performing a lot of database queries which slow down the entire store.
To overcome that, we’ve added our own seo urls implementation which reduces database queries to a minimum but this implementation indeed may not work with third party seo url extensions.
In this case, you can control where our own seo url implementation is used (All Links, Journal Blog urls, Disabled), you can find that option in Journal > System > Settings > Performance > Seo Urls Engine, set it to Disabled and your third party extension will handle seo urls after.

Thank you for your answer, i added custom fields but there is no option do add them to billing address, or in skin>checkout -> Fields tab, there is no option to display them to specific customer group, there is only visible/hide in combination with custom fields create contradictions. I need to request billing info for specific customer group (for registered business) like VAT,CIF, etc.
if add custom fields to Address location like VAT ID, when i uncheck “Same Address Status” custom fields will show here to and this is the issue
if i add custom fields to Account location it will be issues in my account addresses, invoice
Hi, custom fields and customer groups as well as taxes are managed by Opencart platform, please consult with an Opencart developer regarding how to add such functionality to your store and check if everything works the way you want when using the default Opencart theme first.

Hi, you need to work with the Items per Row option from Journal > Skins > Edit > Product Listing > Products per Row, which indicates the actual width of the item (or product). Check the setting under the No Columns option.

I have found a few problems, once I edit a product and i go to my website i get server error 500, this is usually fixed after few seconds. And another problem i have found, when i enable php 8 i cant upload product images nothing happens when i click change image.
