Hello, I’ve got a question: I’m currently re-designing the main website on a sub-domain, and wanted to use the Popup menu as shown on Architecture & Interior Design Demo (similar to mobile icon). But I’ve encountered a problem – the Primary menu options are not linkable, when you click on it only shows sub-menu options, which are clickable, but with this menu I can’t get to the main category, on top of that: in menu options even if I set “show arrow” for submenu – it doesn’t seem to work either. Is there any solution for this? Thank You!

Hi, I have install portotheme in 2 domains.In one domain,when you are in mobile view,and you hit menu icon there is a small delay for the menu to load. On the other domain there isn’t. Why is this? Its something that I asked a few days ago and you have said that is loading via ajax and is like that by default. But why this isn’t happening and for my 2 site?

This seems like a bit much for this. I am doing ADA compliance for a website using your theme. The mobile open and close anchors do not have a title. Is there any way you can just add this to your theme so that all who are buying this theme don’t have to worry about this issue for ADA compliance?

While we currently do not have that feature, I am forwarding this to our development department for considering adding it in the theme, but I am not giving you the guarantee for that because please note that a theme cannot satisfy all requirements as it may occur theme heaviness. Sometimes it may require your own customization. So if the development department finds it fit with the theme environment then surely they will look through it.

If you only want to add the text beside the Mobile Menu Icon then you can achieve it using Custom CSS as well, please share the screenshot of your mobile Menu icon where you want to place the text and also share the URL of your site as well so that I’ll check and help you our with Custom CSS.
Its not text that I want to place. Links like this require a title in the anchor html for ADA compliance. I just also realized that I cannot tab through your themes navigation as dropdowns do not appear when tabbing through. Can you please just update these two things on your theme so that the theme can be ADA compliant for everyone who has purchased it? For the title all you have to do is add title=”mobile menu” or something like that to your .php file. But the issue with the main menu not being able to be navigated through with just keyboard is pretty bad. Can you please fix this?

It means there is no such issue with our theme, it might be because of the third-party plugin or custom code. you have to check with deactivating all the third-party plugins and removing the customization.

You can not put any content directly on any of the Archive page, you have to go to Porto >> Template Builder >> Blocks and create a block there and set banner under it, now you have to go to Pages and finds and edit the Archive FAQ page, scroll below, you will find view options and under view options you will find the field of content top, you have to paste that block slug name under that field and it will appear on the Archive FAQ page as well.

There seems a bug somewhere in PHP code, that I recently come across, while Updating (Saving) a Product from the Product page
Initially, upon clicking Update on Product page, I receive below error. Hence, I first talk to Hosting support

They suggested that it might be related to Porto Theme and some of its feature
Upon looking at the error code, I saw the term “Pre-Order”.
Hence, I recalled, that I enabled the feature from Theme options > Woocommerce > Pre-Order (Yes)
After enabling that, I first enabled the Pre-Order option from Product page as well, to check how it looks like), then I uncheck the Pre-Order option.
And after that when I click on Update button on same product page, it started throwing same error – https://prnt.sc/1x0dwbd

So, in order to temporary resolve this issue, I disabled Pre-Order feature from Theme options >> Woocommerce and set it NO
The moment I did that, the error Resolved. And did NOT throw any error thereafter. I treid same by Updating same product multiple times and changing variations, Saving them, and other changes. But it seems, thereafter Error goes away.
This shows, that there is definitely something wrong with the Pre-Order functionality in the Theme, that needs to be resolved. Or something related to that

The error log clearly indicates about the “Porto” as well as “Pre-Order”, including the steps in-between (steps of the line codes in the log file)
Also, I mentioned about the steps (that I took at my end), while the error appeared, specially in the attached SShot.
I am expecting, that you should be able to replicate with all those details.
And you can understand it much better way with the line numbers of Codes, given in the error log file.
Above all, the moment we Disable the Pre-Order feature, the error goes away, atleast didn’t appeared so far.
This shows, that there is definitely something wrong with the Pre-Order functionality in the Theme, that needs to be resolved. Or something related to that
Would highly appreciate, if you could please test again and thoroughly, by considering all these points and Line numbers of codes in the Error log.

Really thanks for your detailed video, I really appritiate your dedication, but I have tested with same steps on my test site and here is the result: https://streamable.com/2o5efj so the issue is only on your site and that might be because of the any other third party plugin confliction with that pre order option or some sort of custom code, so you have to debug it on your site with deactivating all the third party plugins and on site customization as well.

As per your suggestion, I tried by reverting back to PHP v 7.4 (from V 8.0), and YES, the Pre-Order function started working, atleast as of now.

1. I thought you suggested someone here on the comments section, that your theme is compatible with PHP v 8.0
Hence, I updated from 7.4 to 8.0 few days back from cPanel. Not realizing this may throw error, here and there.
Can you please confirm whether your theme is currently compatible with PHP 8.0. If so, can you please resolve this issue, that is appearing with Ver 8.0 for Pre-Order feature
If not compatible, then can you please make the theme compatible and make the updated version available soon.

If I switch to Default Twenty Twentyone, then how would I be able to Test this issue, as Pre-Order feature won’t be available then. And, I think, it cannot be replicated that way.

I come across one small issue that appears in the Special Offer section of the Home page of our test site, that is using Demo Shop 21https://prnt.sc/1wyvdno
In this section, there is a Use of Porto Tabs, within the Demo itself. The product display correctly for “Best Sellers’ tabs (that is Porto Best Selling Products)
However, when we click on other Tabs , like – Audio Speakers, Camera, and others, then they don’t display any products.

1.) About horizontal/vertical filters:
I prefer to put most filters above the product grids/lists on category pages (horizontal filters), in the form of drop-down filters, just as you show them on your demo pages. Sometimes there is a larger number of filters (depending on the number of features I want to highlight there), so I need two or even three lines with horizontal drop-down filters. Is this possible with your theme?
2.) I also need to define these filters individually for different product categories and features. I assume that I can do that with your theme?
3.) At the same time, I often need to put SOME filters (especially the more visual ones, likes colors with swatches or the price range) in the left sidebar. Is that possible with your theme (without workaround)? I have not found any example for a combo of vertical (sidebar) and horizontal filters in the demos.

1. When the number of filters increases, it automatically turn down to the second and then 3rd row like on my test site here: https://hubdatasolutions.com/pearl/porto/shop1/shop/ there is no specific setting for it.
2. Yeah you can, you have to create multiple sidebars from Appearance >> Sidebars and then those sidebars will appear under Appearance >> Widgets, you have to set the filters under those Widgets as per your requirements and then you have to go to Products >> Categories and edit every single Category and assign those sidebars from Category Options, it will work for you.
3. You can set the Price Filter Slider but color and image swatches are not possible.

I’m seeing the horizontal filters (with 2nd row) now – that’s exactly what I meant.
Obviously, you misunderstood my other question regarding combinations of horizontal filters and vertical filters in the sidebar, since there is such a combo on your test site.
I meant that I need to put some horizontal filters above the grid AND at the same time, some other filters (esp. visualized colors and price range plus maybe some others) in the sidebar. That’s exactly what you’ve got on your test site.

I need to further clarify one point that is quite essential to many of our customers in terms of usability (and also SEO):
I have to be able to define horizontal filters very individually, depending on the specific products / categories and their features, i. e. not just standard features like color or size, but unlimited number of very specific ones that I can define myself, with individual values, for example: “sideboard width”—> x / y / z… cm or “type of door”—> a / b / c / d… “number of departments”—> 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8….
I hope that’s possible within your theme.

(sideboard width, type of door, number of departments) you can create those options as attributes of the products and set the values and set those attributes to your products and after that, you can use the “Filter by Attribute” widget and Filter those attributes as per your requirements, this is the only possible option, otherwise, you have to try with any third party plugin which better meets your requirements.

I’ve been using porto for many client sites – great stuff so far and great support.
I’ve come across a scenario where one of my clients wants to create a WordPress multi-site network (essentially to sell products in 4-5 different locations, and wants each of those locations to have their own products etc). The theme and display of every site would be 99% identical
So it would be something like. mainsite.com location1.mainsite.com location2.mainsite.com location3.mainsite
All of the sites in the same network we would like to look identical and preferebly i’d like to use porto theme for this network.
The question I have is – I know some developers allow 1 license to cover multi-site installations when the business being promoted is the same (which in this case it will be) – Would I have to purchase in this example 4 seperate porto licenses? Or would one license cover everything as long as the core domain is the same?
