I’ve a pre-purchase question. Is it possible that a 5th step(post booking confirmation) of eKYC is added
where travellers can log-in on the website using Booking ID and their Last Name.
The eKYC page could then open up for travelers to
- Edit/Add their name to booking
- Mobile OTP Verification
- Upload Selfie+ Govt Id Selfie post booking completion
If not, will these customization be possible? I’m asking this eKYC feature because mine is a Self Chkin service apartment, so pre verification of guests is important for us and is currently being done on whatsapp chat which is very inconvenient

Thanks for your interest.
I’d recommend doing this another way, you can set bookings to be manually confirmed and in the confirmation email which is automatically sent after booking, request the guest send you the information you need.
That way everything is automated, all you need to do is check the information they send you, then change the booking status to confirmed.

eKYC would be needed for the booker as well as his group members traveling along, right? Your suggested method ,could take time as the booker will send the link of documents needed, to all the traveling group members. Until then the booking confirmation shouldn’t be kept on hold,
PS: Its very similar to the Web Chkin that you do after booking your flight from an airline website. >>While completing your flight reservation, you feed in the details of all passengers traveling. You get a PNR, which is same for all the travelers of that booking. Each traveler then uses that PNR along with their last name to log in to the Web Check-in Page, confirm their seat,meals etc…..(in our case -Selfie, Documents Selfie, Mobile/Email OTP Verification)
Your suggested method could take time as the booker will send the link of documents needed, to all the traveling group members: I don’t think sending the documents via email right after booking is any slower than sending them during the booking. If anything it offers more flexibility to the guests.

The Soho Hotel email contains booking information and the WooCommerce email contains the payment information.
If you want to switch off the WooCommerce payment email notification, go to “WooCommerce > Settings > Emails”, click “Manage” for each email and uncheck “Enable this email notification”.

We are running the latest v3.2.2 version and would like to update to v4.x. The new version looks like quite a large update, especially for the booking system, although we aren’t using much of that part of the theme any more.
Is there a seamless upgrade from v3—> v4 or will it require any manual steps to perform the update? I had a look in docs but there wasn’t much information on moving from v3 to v4.

Hi Nick, how are you?. I am goint to purchase your product, but i have seem in the comments, that the blacked date feature is not available in the new version. I had problems with other wordpress themes because we do not use the calendar of the plugins, we use another system as well, so we do not add direct phone reservations for example ih the calendar of the plugin My question is if that feature to block dates, will no longer available. You can absolutely block dates in the calendar with Soho Hotel, no problem.
Reading old comments isn’t an accurate source of information when it comes to features, since the theme was released 8 years ago and the features have changed a lot over the years with all the updates.

Yes you can block dates in the calendar, you don’t need to create fake bookings or charge money.

Hi we have identified that the Soho Hotel Booking plugin is causing 2 Critical errors in our Site Health report. When we disable the plugin the errors disappear. Reactivating it returns the errors again. The errors are “An active PHP session was detected” and “The REST API encountered an error”, thank you in advance for your help. Nothing specific sir, just that, we want our staff to be able to login and do the booking from the backend for customers, so we can get a report on their booking activities as well, that’s basically it. But once booking is done at the backend, a customer account should be created just like how the frontend works with the woocommerce, that’s all. So customer can manage their bookings etc etc.
Yes the theme can do this, but bear in mind you need to create the customer in the backend first, and then apply the customer to the booking in the backend.

Or if you mean you can’t see the Ghana payment gateway on the demo website, this is because the demo website does not have it installed. But I can assure you the “myghpay” WooCommerce payment gateway is compatible with the theme.

If I understand well your words, I must rebuild the website form 0 in order to use you new theme version..it’s a lot of work with 7 accommodations ita+eng. I’m using WPML and I translated the most part of your theme and plugin strings also modifying English texts for our specifics needs so I don’t want to loose everything. Furthermore I need only a request of booking, without payment, so I don’t need woocommerce but if I deactivate it, theme crashes and, in booking settings, I don’t have the form custom fields: how can set them without woocommerce?
