Hi is safe to update to WP 5.9 with your theme?
And please update your theme and plugin files, vc composer is now version 6.8, we are on 6.3 with your theme ;-(
Also, do we need jQuery Migrate Helper anymore with theme V2.3 and wp 5.9?
and i send you an email to have the last version of VC composer in emergency as i update to WP 5.9 and seems to work with little bug due to the version of the builder i guess…
but lots of bugs with php 8.0, return to 7.4… ;-(

Hi! I’m updating the theme with the last version. I’m using a child theme to add some modifications. Once I update the main theme, some of the settings in the theme are missing (like footer settings, for example). Is there a way to export the theme settings so I don’t lost them every time I update the theme?

When you update the theme and bundled plugins it is necessary to navigate to Theme Options -> General and click on ‘Save Changes’ button in order to generate a new dynamic CSS file. The theme options aren’t lost when the theme is updated, however it is necessary to click on ‘Save Changes’ so css file with these settings would be generated.

I tried that and it’s not working. I’ve saved changes on the Theme options screen, everything seems to go well but when I refresh the frontend the settings are not being applied and I’m getting this error on the console that I think maybe has something to do with this:
GET …./wp-content/themes/borderland/css/style_dynamic_callback.php?ver=5.8.2 net::ERR_ABORTED 500
If I go back to the previous theme version and do exactly the same, I’m not getting any error and the website looks ok.
I’ve tried on a localhost copy of the same website (same plugins and everything) and it’s working, so maybe it could be a problem with the hosting…

Hello, I am trying to implement different headers for different pages/categories. I implemented my logic in header.php for child theme, but when i change pages, it seems like the header is not reloading (rerendering). e.g on categories/food i want to use img1 and on categories/destination i want to use img2. This seems possible only when i refresh the whole page. I noticed that when changing pages, content refreshes, the loader is shown for body but not for the header. Is there an option somewhere in the code to enable reloading the whole page when route changes?

Please navigate to Elated Options -> General -> Settings and try setting “Page Transition” option to “No Animation” and “Loading Animation” to “Off”. When transitions are turned on, header and footer are not reloaded, only content get reloaded.

Hi there, I’ve noticed all my posts have “H2” for the title. As far as I am aware, this should usually be set at “H1” as default for SEO-friendliness. I have trawled through all the settings and elated options, and can’t seem to find how to change the post titles to H1 instead of H2. Could you please advise? Thank you!

The option to change post title, unfortunately, doesn’t exist within theme options, however, you can modify the theme file on the following path:
wp-content\themes\borderland\templates\blog\blog_single\blog_standard_type_single-loop.phpChange title tag to H1 here.

This could be due to the lazy loading feature for images added by a 3rd party plugin (please see screenshot). Please try disabling lazy loading in plugin options.

Hi there, just a quick question – I deleted Woocommerce that came bundled with the Borderlands theme. I am now wanting to play around with it, but when I installed it it was just the basic free version. Does the full version of Woocommerce come bundled with the theme? If yes, how do I reinstall a plugin that came bundled? I don’t seem to get the notifications I used to get that say “this theme works best with XX plugin, click here to install”, or whatever it said. The WooCommerce plugin bundled with the theme is also the regular free WooCommerce plugin version that you can install in plugins section. In case you wish to reinstall the bundled version please navigate to Appearance>Install Plugins, and here all of the available bundled plugins should be listed.

You can always install the theme on a local installation and import the demo content on it, once this is done you can simply copy the pages you want to your live domain.
You can always import the demo content or pages only on your live domain, however, we do recommend all to import the demo on a clean installation. You can for sure import it over your existing content, however then we would recommend you to always make a backup of your existing content as it might happen that your content will get overwritten sometimes.
