LIcensing: Development, staging and live website – blocked Options
Now that all excitement of the fab new builders is over – I need a solution to this problem. How do I handle licensing now that the Betheme options has been blocked if a theme is not activated.
Normal accepted development process is to have a development area, a staging/approval version and then the live site. It is accepted in the industry that no live changes should be made to a live website that is running woocommerce, lms etc.
So as a developer how do I handle the licensing? It wont help to purchase a dev + staging license + live website – that’s crazy. And I also have numerous clients all using valid BeThemes.
I am sure that there are many many other website developers who now find themselves in this situation.
Solution is urgently required please.

according to Themeforest’s Official Licensing Terms, one license allows you to create one end project (website). If you want to use Betheme on a second website, it requires you to make a second license purchase.
This applies to all themes on the Envato marketplace and not the Betheme only.

If you want to have both (staging and live) registered with same license key, then staging has to be under the subdomain of the main domain that is live. Or, you can have staging on localhost and in that case you can register both with same license too. Otherwise, you have to switch license key between domains.

PRE PURCHASE QUESTIONS: I’ve been reading several posts, here and in your support forum….. I have to demo a site for a client who already gave me content to write posts and pages…. If I use Muffin builder, and they don’t like and end up changing theme/builder completely… can I export content via wordpress export so I don’t need to write all over again ? or once you go the muffin way you’re doomed … Thanks

Hi, Thanks for your quick reply… Exactly…. I know, of course, that I can’t export design, I’m just talking about pure content of posts and pages… So if it doesn’t fit my customer and We need to move away from betheme and muffin builder, I will not have to start creating all over again….
Each page builder has its own structure so you can not move the content built with one builder and use it with different one. It’s because each builder have different items/elements/shortcodes. If content is built with native default wp editor, then yes, you can move the content between pages.
What you can do using Muffin Builder is export content built with Muffin Builder to WP default editor but it’s plain content.

Yes, indeed. Any content located in wp default editor might be exported with native WP Export Tool.
But as I read in the forums, the content is in a custom type in post_meta, so how does it end up in default editor?
Like said, we have an option called Builder >> SEO that moves the content from Muffin Builder directly into WP default editor.
It would be great if you add Sticky Add to Cart and Buy Now button on Single product page. One more thing is it possible to add new cart features from newest themes on older themes?

Hi, I use Creative layout style for my header. In desktop the hamburger menu is on the left as i want but in mobile or tablet, the hamburger icon is on the right of the logo. Is it possible to keep the same layout for all devices with the hamburger on left?
Also the logo in mobile version is really small, is there a way to disable the max-height in theme options for mobile?

if you want to change mobile menu position, you can do this in Betheme > Theme Options > Responsive > Header section. Regarding the logo, all options are located in Betheme > Theme Options > Global > Logo section.

I am trying to add the license to a new website and it tells me this error.

I already tried to go to the license manager and it tells me this error.
The purchase code has not been used to register Betheme or the username does not match the purchase code.
Verify that you were putting the username and license in the correct fields but it is the same error every time.

Requesting an urgent attention from your side. When we tried to install theme its saying the license is already in use. But the site with which we tried the license is not at all existing or even the hosting. Its an old one we tried and not even renewed the hosting. So we are not able to find and detach the license from that site which is not existing. So could you please share some solution to detach the license or how to remove that license from an old one which is not existing
