Does anyone have the answer of this; I don’t get it: Why should I upgrade to v4.0.0 of UDesign, if I’ll have to create my whole website from the scratch? What’s the catch? I don’t get it. If I have use Elementor with UDesign and have to re-design the whole website to make the new UDesign to work, then why wouldn’t I use a lightwheight theme such as “Hello Elementor”, which is the fastest theme suitable for Elementor?. So if we have to use Elementor with this new v4.0 Udersign theme; and if we have to re-design all the pages from the scratch to use UDesign v4.0, then why should I use UDesign rather than another lightweight theme with Elementor? I don’t get it.. What am I missing? What’s the point to upgrade to UDesign if we are obliged to use Elementor?

As you know 4.0.0 is a major update of our theme. lots of new features and demos were added in the theme. But as you said you didn’t use any demo of our theme you created your site from scratch so it doesn’t mean that you don’t need to update the theme you will not use the demos but there are new amazing features that will help you to create your site as you have to. First, take a complete backup of your site then by following the below guide you can update your theme I hope you will never face any issue and no need to worry about the content it will not be lost.
And if you do not want to update the theme and simply update the plugins like WooCommerce and other plugins that came with our theme, then those will not be supported with the old version of the theme.
To solve your issue first go to the wp-content >> Themes and then rename the parent theme (U-Design) then upload the theme zip file here you can download the file from this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/96fk9g52zgl6nkf/u-design.zip?dl=0 once the file you upload extract there and then activate it from the wp-admin Dashboard >> Appearance >> Themes after activating it your issue will be resolved.Regards Andon-Design.
I bought your theme 8 years ago 2014. I update the same way every new release. I FTP and overwrite the previous files. Now my site is offline and all it says is UDESGN. I don’t think you would release something that would kill peoples websites who update like me via FTP. So what is the trick to get it to work with your new version? I still have your old version, if worst comes to worst I’ll just use that. Thanks

Actually, version 4.0.0 is a major update of our theme lots of new features and demos are added in the theme and we check our theme on our test sites before releasing it and found no issue in the latest update. You can update the theme by following the below guidance but please first take a complete backup of your site.

“UDesign Core” mandotary plugin can not be installed in UDesign V 4.0. When will you fix it? When I click the “install”, I get a message saying “Plugin not activated. A higher version of UDesign Core is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.” However, it is allready indicating that “Available version is 4.0.0” beside that “install” link. But it does not install. So I’m stuck here. Please advice.

good job but what a brutal update ! 
UDesign user for more than 9 years, updating to 4.0.0 simply killed my website.
No more shortcodes, Elementor mandatory, and many many pages to rebuild.
Is it possible to rename UDesign 3.x in order to keep it with 4.x and switch from one to the other to progressively update pages without interruption for our visitors ?

The forum had many questions answered, that helped me use your theme properly with the many websites I have done – can you please allow access to the old forum, so I can at least copy/paste my discussions.

The past forum allowed everyone to learn from other people’s comments and your answers – it was a good tool and educational platform for everyone.
I am not able to access the new support, even with my current username and password. Plus having purchased 8 udesign theme packages, and udesign had my ‘grandfathered’ me in for on-going future support. Is this still valid, as promised? Does everyone need a new username and password?

I am currently running UDesign V3.4.18 which has not updated via the Envato Market plugin as it has done in the past without problem, it does all appear to be set up OK.

I have manually downloaded version 4.0 from ThemeForest but it appears to be a very big update, is there any specific things that need to be done to update to this version?

Actually, Yes we release a major update of our theme version 4.0 there’s a lot of new feature we add in the theme you can check the change-log of the new version.
You can update the theme manually just follow the below steps..
1.. Take a complete backup of your site.
2.. Disable all the third-party plugins you are using in your site.
3.. Rename the theme folder in the wp-content >> Themes
4.. Then upload the zip folder of the latest version of the theme there.
5.. Then unzip the file there
6.. Simply go to the Dashboard >> Appearnce >> Themes and then activate the latest version theme
7.. Go to the Appearnce >> Install Plugins then update the theme necessary plugins.Then check back your site after clearing the browser cache. After that you can enable the third-party plugins one by one.
And you’re done.

Is 4.0.0 available???
I downloaded theme from Themeforest, deactivated all my plugins and uploaded the udesign.zip.
The theme says udesign core needs to be updated to 4.0.0 but after updating it continues to fail.

Thanks. For whatever reason the udesign core still shows as 4.0 and will not update 4.0.0. Tried deleting the theme and installing a new copy from themeforest and still no luck. Everything else updates except the design core

I have used the “U-design” theme but it arises an error on admin theme setting options, So for rectifying those issues, I have created a new stage setup and made all the updated e.g. updated u-design theme, plugins, WordPress but the theme is still getting the same error.

All I have to say is wow. I’ve been using uDesign for about 7+ years and it has been awesome.
Now you guys have included features that I paid thousands for over the years.
Thanks for continuing to update the theme but now my head hurts because now I need to understand all the new features and I’m sure I will need a few days rebuilding everything in a staging site.

It happens sometimes because of third-party plugins or when the theme is the oldest version. So please first disable all the third-party plugins and update the theme to the latest version then check back your issue I hope it will be resolved. Then activate the plugins one by one so that you will be able to know which plugins conflict and cause the issue.

Please help, I’m panicking! I set sale pricing for my client to start today for Black Friday and the site is showing the regular price and sale price as exactly the same! I confirmed in the admin section that the sale price IS correct in the product, but it shows on the site the same as the regular price. I tested for a plugin conflict by disabling everything and ONLY turning on the WooCommerce plugin (all other plugins, including theme-required plugins OFF) and it still is wrong. Please help!
