Is it possible to add a closed caption or subtitle to videos?
Sorry but we do not have subtitle support within the built-in player. If you would like that, you can use a player with these features built-in. There are a number of players that support this. Or you can use the embedded version of Vimeo, Youtube, etc. Our theme will work with any third party player that has support for WordPress or embed code.

A couple of questions before I commit (I’ve been looking at Streamit/and a couple of others)but like the flow of Aztec. Questions: 1)I’m assuming the video player is video.js? would there be a possibility to integrate Videojs-vr https://videojs-vr.netlify.app/ so that 360 videos can be offered.
2) is there a possibility to have a button that launches youtube and vimeo (and even site hosted video) to full screen like netflix does, instead of having people first hit play, then lightbox opens then again click full screen? Thank you.

1) We are not using that player. We are using a custom version of the player afterglow that has been updated/modified by us. We do not have support for Videojs-vr. If you wanted this support, you would need to use a third party player. We have support built-in for switching to a third party player.
2) We do not have that ability. The examples shown in the live preview show the various play/lightbox options.

Is there a video/doc tutorial available I can look at to understand the work involved in switching to a thirdparty player? and how it would integrate? P.s: consider integrating the free video-Vr.js capability. It will put your theme miles ahead of the competition for OTT solutions.
This lack of ability to launch in full screen is actually a big setback if aiming for a 10-foot UI as they call it, for OTT. on Ott platforms, (even on mobile) you click once to select the movie and on hitting play it goes to full screen – no intermediate steps needed.
Do consider updating to this format (imo) Because, also, embedded youtube vidoes currently in the demo, the close and fullscreen arrows get into conflict with overlay text of youtube.
We are currently extremely happy with the player we have integrated and have no plans on changing this. We have tested just about every player available and believe the one we went with is the best overall.
That being said we do understand there are tons of different video formats, options, & settings. So we built-in support for using third party players. You can find an example of how a third party player will appear here: https://aztec.progressionstudios.com/title/love-island/
Documentation: When using a third party player, there aren’t any required additional steps. Simply select “Third Party/Video embed” for your video and add-in the shortcode/embed code of your third party player.

Thank you for explaining. I’ve put the Aztech theme on my recommended shortlist after seeing the tutorial videos on vimeo. One small suggestion. In the Youtube embed (IT:chapter 2 / Bachelorette) examples, if the full screen button was in the lower right it would help as now it conflicts/gets obscured by Youtube’s watchnow / share icons

Is there a way to show the series/movie to everyone but only memberships can be able to access it? Cause everytime I am trying to access a video i locked, i can’t find it. Thank you
If you have marked a series/movie as private, then users without access will be redirected as shown in the live preview. There is no way for them to preview it besides seeing it in list form. The only caveat to this is with Pay Per Posts as there is a purchase button on the paid per post.

A post can have membership and pay per video at the same time ?
If you are marking a page/post private. Then it would be available as a membership plan OR as a pay per video. One page/post cannot be both.

Hello! I am interested in buying this theme for a video based excercise program. I wanted to know how the videos are loaded to the website, if there in an option for live streaming, if I can have different membership plans (for example paying monthly or anually), and if there is an option for free trial for say a week?
The videos can be added a number of ways. Customers usually host their videos via WordPress (.mp4) or via a third party hosting site like Vimeo/Youtube. These are the easiest ways to get content on the website. However our theme will work with just about any other video hosting service. You can live stream for example.
Trials: Yes, you can create free trials for any length of time. You can also create different plans exactly as you are describing.

We would like to use Aztec to build our streaming platform. As we are producing our films with a non-profit association, we would like the users to have the possibility to set themselves the prices of their “suscription plans” or “Pay by Post” plan. Is that possible with your theme ?

Each video can be offered as a subscription OR a pay per post. They cannot be combined for a single video as both offer different purchase options. You can see in the live preview the differences as we have an example pay per post in the menu. Just to be clear you can offer subscription videos AND Pay per post videos. However a single video cannot be both a subscription and a pay per post. You would need one video thats offered as a subscription and a separate video offered as a pay per post.

1) Can your theme be used for podcasts only (or do you habe better ones for that, also including ARMember?)
I hope this is not an silly question: 2) I use the Podlove Plugin for publishing podcast episodes, which automatically creates a post with a custom post type (I think this can be turned off). I suppose, that Aztec can’t handle that custom post type, so I have to create the posts with the new episodes manually and select the mp3 when creating the post, correct?
3) Is it possible to show e.g. the slider with the recent podcast – episodes, a slider with the newest blogposts and a slider with the newest posts of a certain category on the landing page?
4) I really like Aztec, but I don’t like the simple ”+” as “add to list” button. can this be customized?
5) Is the Audio Player Customizable? Honestly I overlooked it the first time I saw the demo.
6) Is the Profile Page customizable, like the “normal” Profile Page of ArMember?So, can I add custom fields, Badges, etc?
I am so sorry for the long comment – as a non profit podcast I have to think twice when spending money 
1) Yes this theme could be used for podcasts. We have some podcast examples in the live preview: https://aztec.progressionstudios.com/podcasts/
2) Aztec uses it’s own custom post type so you would need to create the posts manually as you have described.
3) The sliders can easily be adjusted to display podcasts. You have full control over which posts get pulled into this.
4) No, adjusting the plus would require customizations. This change would be very minor but is not part of theme support.
5) We are using the default audio browser player. You could use a plugin to switch the player.
6) The profile page is semi-customizable. The left column is a fixed layout. However the content on the right is edited via the page builder.

I’d like to haven a “series” with the seasons below (like this one: https://aztec.progressionstudios.com/title/downton-abbey/) as a homepage. I tried going to the menu and creating a “custom link” for the “home” menu item for the series page and it works. However, the “series” pages are not accessible from the “Customize” option to select it as the default home page. So users cannot get to the “series” without first seeing a landing page that is accessible through the “Customize” option. How can I change that? Thanks!

Yeah, if you want to do live video/streaming our theme will work great for this. You can use Twitch, Youtube, etc. and all of these will have live comments built-in.

If you want to stream using MABE/RTMP, you can use a third party player. There are tons of options on wordpress.org and codecanyon.net that support these streaming file types. Our theme will work great with any video player that supports WordPress or has embed code.

1) There is no maximum size of video set by the theme. That would be up to your hosting provider.
2) Yes, you have full control over what is public/free and what to charge for. You can have some content free.
