Hi, when I have a row with an inner-row and some columns… why the margin in % is working on desktop but on mobile margin-top is not, while bottom works? Any rule for this?
Hey Mikel2020, Are you setting the margin on the columns within the inner row? Can you kindly share the page URL where the margin is not taking effect so that I can take a closer look at your setups.

Hey Mikel2020, The top padding being overridden on mobile only will be corrected in the next release – you could also use the row padding option instead of the margin field for the time being.

Hey. I have a bit of a weird issue with one of my portfolio pages. All the other ones seem fine though. On this page: https://andrewklotz.ca/project/cold-water-cowboys The content seems to be really lagging in loading, almost like it’s not being triggered until it’s nearly too late. And at the bottom, the last row of copy and image sometimes doesn’t load because you’re at the bottom of the page and it’s not being triggered. This is also the only portfolio page that doesn’t have the “next project” section and I have no idea why. Any ideas?

1. The animation loading offset issue can occur when using the lazy loading option for images and your image is not large enough to fill the column that it’s contained within. You can fix the issue can by editing the row which holds the laptop image and setting some left/right padding to close the available space. Setting 25% for the row left and right padding shouldn’t change the display, but it will allow the lazy loading logic to calculate the image size more accurately and fix the issue.

Thanks for the response. The biggest issue seems to be the bottom section with the blue background and 50/50 columns. On larger displays that section doesn’t even load the images at times. Right now there’s 5% padding on all sides of each column. Maybe that’s not enough?
For the previous project CTA. This is the only page where that isn’t working. Every other project has it. Do you know why it’s only not showing up on this page?

The project pagination issue is related to the “last” item in the portfolio post type when using the new single project navigation style. The CSS I provided should also correct that in the meantime prior to the next release.
Got it! Thank you. The only thing missing is the hover animation for the project navigation at the bottom. Is that something that will need to wait for the next release?

How to remove it and why it happens? I am using latest version of template. Hide Featured Media on Single Post is On in Settings.
If I disable “Post Navigation Links On Single Post Page” error is gone. Why it happens and is there a way to fix it? Maybe some PHP version problem? I am using 8.0 on local machine.

I am using woocommerce and WPML but I have a problem with cart URL.
For example, I have two languages, and when I change from English to Croatian, url is still ”/cart/” but it should be ”/cart/?lang=hr”.
Do you have any suggestions what to do?

The header cart available in Salient uses the core WooCommerce cart widget, so I would double check with WPML about any settings which you may need to activate in order to ensure that URL changes accordingly. If you already have a ticket open with them, please let me know the ID so that I can coordinate with them in regards.

Hello ThemeNectar! I have a problem with the Polylang plugin. The language switch button is not active in the mobile menu. I put it in the header with the Salient menu item. Can you help fix this?

The option to “persist” a menu item in the mobile header will only bring the parent item – all dropdown items will be lost. You’ll need to take a different approach to render that in the mobile header. Firstly, disable the menu option to persist it within the mobile navigation and then add the following snippet to your child theme functions.php file:

That page builder element is called “Icon List”. If you’re not seeing it available to you, kindly open a ticket on the support forum in regards so that we can take a look at why that might be.
I can see the following items: Fancy Unordered List and Horizontal List Item. Is it any of those? I’m on Version: 14.0.3. Did it come in a later version?

The event to open that is only bound to the header search icon, though you could create a custom event to trigger it from another source. With that in, any button that you give the class name “header-search-trigger” to will open the header search.

Icomoon.woff is causing delays
Hello, it seems my website is still trying to load icomoon.woff but I am not sure where this comes from. Is this a setting within Salient, or is something going wrong?
The issue is that it is try to load it, but it actually does not find it and throws an error after several seconds.
In the source code I find:

Added info: When I look at the error message sit seems he is trying to find icomoon.woff under https://www.site.com/product/css/fonts/icomoon.woff
I think somehow the /product/ tag is added but I have no idea why this happens?

A preload link is added when the theme option “Font Display Swap” is enabled in the Salient options > general settings > performance. You can turn that off to remove the warning, however I would need to take a closer look at your actual setup to see why the URL is being generated incorrectly. That would require some custom modding via a child theme. Unfortunately that change wouldn’t be a quick CSS snippet that I could provide here in the comments. The “fixed text content fullwidth” is very close to that minus the next/prev navigation, so that would probably be your easiest path to start and then create custom navigation items via JS: https://flickity.metafizzy.co/api.html#previous

Me again Please take a look at the Nectar slider video in the third row / right frame at https://inthesameboat.org/itsb/. It displays nicely on desktop but way too tall on mobile. Turning on “flexible slider height” doesn’t fix this. Is there any custom CSS or something else that will make this look right on mobile? Thank you.
Hey marcfest, instead of using a Nectar Slider for that video, you could apply the video background directly to your column like so: https://ibb.co/xggC8h2
You could then control the height of your video on mobile by using a divider page builder element inside of the column.

Hello, I was checking my wp_options table. It seems there are a lot of Salient entries that are set to autoload, some of them quite large filesizes.
Now it also seems that old versions of Salient, that are note used for a long time already, are still in there AND being autoloaded. Can I remove these items?
For example (ordered by file size): salient_redux salient salient_redux-transients theme_mods_salient theme_mods_salient-child theme_mods_salientv411 theme_mods_salv3 theme_mods_salientv2

salient_redux is the main theme options store, and the transients for that are also part of the core functionality.
The other entries (theme_mods_*) are part of the core of WordPress Customizer settings. Whenever you change themes and save options via the customizer, A new entry will be created with your active theme name and persist after changing that theme so that you don’t lose you settings if changing back. You can delete any of the following which you are no longer using:
theme_mods_salient-child theme_mods_salientv411 theme_mods_salv3 theme_mods_salientv2
