There is no built-in functionality to allow for a “count down” effect rather than a “count up”. I would suggest just using the “Split line heading” element instead for an alternative animation which doesn’t involve counting, but still provides some flare.

There’s no built-in option to display the child menu items in the mobile view without the dropdown functionality. However you could add the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab to alter the display to that:

The next release of Salient will be bringing new performance features to handle this, but for the meantime you could make use of some of the advanced features within WPRocket to improve your score. Specifically, the option to remove unused CSS, and delay javascript execution.

The different options I get. What I don’t get is the difference in speed appreciation numbers given by Google Pagespeed for the mobile and desktop versions. Mobile 55 and Desktop 94, while the desktop version is loading a 4.5Mb .MP4 video file and the mobile version only loads a 100Kb JPG-image …

The mobile page speed calculation goes way beyond the size of media loaded on the page. It’s an intentionally difficult test to score high on, due to the throttled connection speeds it runs on.
