Thank you for such a great podcast theme! I wanted to ask if I could get a bit of help with a small issue? I’m building out my site.. ChatPodcast.com and I have two questions:
1. Is there a way to change the default color from a dark Grey for the “Latest Episode” section to “Black”? If so, can you let me know how to do that?
2. On mobile, tablet and desktop.. I have an issue with instagram widget at the bottom showing as “vertical” and not carousel. Is there a way to enable the instagram widget to show as “Carousel”? Here’s a screenshot to show what I see.. also, the instagram button is a bit cut off at the top. You can see that in the screenshot below.

1. Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Front Page and you’ll see that each section has Background/Style option at the bottom. This is where you can set one of two “Alt background” colors. You can also change these colors if you go to Theme Options > Content Styling

A client purchased and asked me to use a player for all his podcasts on spotify. The player is not detecting spotify files, if I copy the link and paste it as audio, it shows a spotify player inside the meks audio player. How do I embed the spotify audio file into meks audio player?

Hi. Now that I own the theme and am trying to set it up, I’m having a little bit of difficulty understanding the intent behind the design, in terms of functionality for users.
I already have a third-party host with an RSS feed. When I followed advice you gave someone else to install Seriously Simple Podcast, that plugin is looking for me to set up a brand new unpublished show. So, I’m confused about whether or not I can actually use this theme for what I thought it was for. Is it possible for someone who has an existing podcast to be able to import the feed have those shows display in the players, as shown in the demo and add show notes, transcripts, chapter markers/timestamp, etc? Or was your intent to design something that looks nice if someone has the bandwidth to use local files or YouTube videos?
In any event, I think it will help future customers if there is clarity about this in your documentation and marketing. You’ve created a beautiful design. But right now, I’m frustrated that I can’t go live with my website any time soon. I don’t seem to have a way to feed my episodes to it and, right now, I’m concerned that I’m going to have to do a significant amount of custom work in order to get that functionality. That would defeat the purpose of the purchase price paid.

We understand your frustration, but themes are not in charge of the website’s content – this is plugin territory. As far as we know, SSP should allow you to import your existing podcast episodes from an RSS – you can consult their documentation for details: https://support.castos.com/category/30-import-a-podcast.

I’m having an issue on my iPhone and Android where I’m looking at my instagram widget and because my instagram name/handle is so long..it’s stretching across and overlapping the word “Instagram Feed” How can I change the words on my widget from “Instagram Feed” to something shorter to something like.. “Follow Us” so my Instagram name/handle does not overlap the wording of “Instagram Feed”?

To change the “Instagram feed” label, you need to go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Translation – once there, find the label and enter a new value.
To hide the “Menu” and “Follow me” labels, you need to go to Theme Options > Header > Misc and disable the “Display labels for special elements” option.

Hello. I have some questions.
- 1 – Are the audio files uploaded to web hosting or an external service and linked?
- 2 – Does it allow you to create a list of audios and automatically go from one audio to the next when the previous one ends?
- 3 – Does this template generate an RSS feed with the list of each podcast to be able to send it to: Apple podcast, Google podcast, Spotify, Soundcloud, Overcast, Amazon music, iHeartRadio, Castbox, Pocket cast, RadioPublic, Stitcher…?

1. Scheduler for live streams, pre records and random for when no DJ’s playing 2. DJs can live stream from other location to the sajt at given time 3. Pre recorded starts at given time 4. Random mixes airs when no DJ is booked.

Hi there, I have used this theme for a year and I love it but recently the audio player has been super buggy. For example, on the homepage, the player doesn’t work the first time on “latest episode” but if I click on the episode and go back on the homepage it’s fine. Could you please tell me how to fix this?

Actually sorry, it still doesn’t work even after the update. It only works when I go onto an episode page and back to the homepage. New users still get the error “The player couldn’t recognize and retrieve audio data.” when using the player from the homepage.

I’ve consulted our developers and they’ve advised to check if you have a caching plugin installed that could be interfering with the loading of the audio file. You could check with your hosting provider as well if they have a restriction of some sort on loading of audio files, or a caching system in place.
We have thoroughly checked on our local installations and on the demo website – the player works fine, so this is definitely something specific to your website / WordPress installation / server. It doesn’t seem to be theme-related.

Hi, so I’ve been back and forth with my host for the last week and they say it’s something to do with the audio player plugin. It’s so fustrating as a lot of users on my site are complaining about this. Is there any way I can just get the play button to link to the episode page instead of trying to play it directly on the homepage?

Megaphone doesn’t rely on any additional page builder – it works fine with the built-in WordPress editor, when it comes to page building. The homepage is an exception, since it has its own template and the sections are set up in the theme options. I suggest you create a free test-drive website and try it out – the trial website is valid for 7 days. Simply click the green “Try it for free” button on top of the demo website.

Does this have an update for the audio player that is Ajax? So basically it has a non stop music player no matter the page it’s on? So people can navigate and continue to listen.

The audio player provided with the theme works only on the current page, but it stays fixed to the bottom of the screen while the visitor is scrolling the page. It does not play across pages, I’m afraid.

You can group episodes into shows with Megaphone, but there is no option to divide shows into seasons. Perhaps there is a workaround – could you please tell us a bit more about what you are trying to achieve?

I would suggest you create a show (please note that “shows” are actually post categories – it’s just the naming that is different since this is a podcast theme), name it “Season 1” or whatever suits your needs, and assign the 15 episodes to this show. Then create a new show, name it “Season 2” and assign the new episodes to the new show. Does this make sense?

Does this theme support woocommerce?

This probably happens because of the specific plugin you are using on your website and it has an impact on the images.
