Instead of flagging legitimate questions or concerns how about addressing them? Or better yet working on fixing the issues reported to you rapidly and releasing the updated version with new features that was supposed to have been released months ago (hopefully without bugs)?

I don’t why after I install the theme on my dev site it still asking me for Activation is required.

With a single regular licence you can also install the theme on your test server (for testing purposes), but that version shouldn’t be available to the public. Please contact us via Helpdesk https://portotheme.com/support to get the support for that.

Emails don’t work in 2.4.4 or 2.4.5 with the latest publish of the theme (4.0.3 from 12/09/22) I raised the issue with a fix suggestion a couple of months back. Including the items in the emails is pretty important! For anyone who needs a fix, here is my old post:

Porto email templates are not compatible with 2.4.4, the easiest fix is to simply rename the templates folder to something like email_issues so it falls back to default emails. path of the folder for templates is app/design/frontend/Smartwave/porto/Magento_Sales/email

A more difficult option would be to fix the templates, for the items to be added the code within the template needs changing from:

{{layout handle=”sales_email_order_items” order=$order area=”frontend”}}

to:

{{layout handle=”sales_email_order_items” order_id=$order_id area=”frontend”}}

But I think there are multiple issues…

If you look in your email templates you will see the layout handle is incorrect. Format can be seen in Adobe documentation here: https://developer.adobe.com/commerce/frontend-core/guide/templates/email-layout-handle/

You will see its $order_id and not $order within the handle.

When emails are sent there is no products within the email body, I deleted app/design/frontend/Smartwave/porto/Magento_Sales/email to make them work via fallback.

Purchased this theme from you guys back in 2020 (I know it’s a long time ago), as I thought that I would be able to build a new site during the pandemic. Cut a long story short, forgot all about the theme and just started to use it now but have issues with installation, but I have no support even though I have never installed the theme onto a server until now. does this mean that I’m going to have to buy the extended warranty even though the product has never been used and if so, what price would I have to pay for it?

From previous comments I can read that update for 2.4.5 should be now available?

Download from themeforest is only Version 4.0.2 which is (based on changelog) only 2.4.4

Just an FYI there’s an issue with forgot password functionality with version 4.0.2 and Magento 2.4.4. Overriding forgotpassword.phtml and resetforgottenpassword.phtml with the default Magento 2.4.4 versions (found in module-customer/templates/form/) resolved the issue for us.

Does the theme have the label on the products in the catalog with the percentage of the discount, if there are catalog marketing rules?

Does the theme have the label in the categories, with the words “New”?

Does the theme have the possibility to implement the “Brands” of the products?

Theme has New, Sale label configured in Theme Setting. By default, the Sale label is displayed on products with a special price. Catalog marketing rules do not apply.

Do you want to bring up the Shop by Brand feature?

I am working on 2.4.3 magento and the latest version of Porto trying to add Custom Layout updates to a product page and worked out this solution.

In the app/code/Smartwave/Porto/etc/di.xml I see the following line at line 29. <preference for=”Magento\Catalog\Helper\Product\View” type=”Smartwave\Porto\Helper\Product\View” />

Comparing Smartwave\Porto\Helper\Product\View.php to vendor\magento\module-catalog\Helper\Product.php :

In vendor\magento\module-catalog\Helper\Product.php this line of code is on lines 217-219:

if ($settings->getPageLayoutHandles()) {
$resultPage->addPageLayoutHandles($settings->getPageLayoutHandles()); }

I added the above code into Smartwave\Porto\Helper\Product\View.php on lines 169 to 171.

And then ran:

php bin/magento setup:upgrade
php bin/magento setup:di:compile
php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy  -f
php bin/magento cache:clean && php bin/magento cache:flush

And my custom layout is now overwriting my porto layout. Hope this helps someone!
