Hello ! Amazing plugin ! I just have some questions :
1- Am i able to disable/add some tabs in the dashboard ? (For example i want to add a tab where sellers will check for the bookings they received through a plugin i will add) If yes, can you provide me the hook ?
2- When a user add a review to a listing, how is it assimilated by Wordpress ? I mean, basically, is it a comments/article/page in my wordpress dashboard ?

Hi,
1. Yes that’s possible, you don’t need a hook for it. You can add/remove items by going to appearance > menus > woocommerce menu. If you add a page that is not part of the dashboard when you click on it you will be redirected to that page (you won’t see the tabs when you’re on that page)
2. Reviews are wordpress comments so you’ll see them in the comments section.
3. Just to make it clear this is a theme and not a plugin.

4- In the reviews sections, when i we got many criteria (as overall, hospitality, etc…) can we change the way these criteria are displayed so that the review block will not be so long ?
5- Always in the reviewing process, when trying to click on a star, am i able to directly display a full star ? (Not a half-star as in the demo website)
6- Is there a way to display the number of views/reviews/bookmarks directly in the preview cards and inside a listing block ?
7- In your demo website, on the author page (via your BuddyPress integration), it looks like we got some display bugs (font sizes, elements touching the edge of the screen page, etc…). Are we able to customize this page to make it looks better ?

7. You need to choose BuddyPress Legacy as the template pack in buddypress settings.
We updated our theme from 2.8 to the latest versions and now our listings are not showing up and are getting wrong results. Is there any extra steps we need to take after updating so that we see the correct results?
Hi! I’m having an issue with updating the theme. We’re currently on version 2.8 and use a child theme. A few days ago, when updating the theme to version 2.9.2, the site broke down and I couldn’t even access the WordPress admin. I had to manually recover the themes folder from a recent backup. The same happened when updating to version 2.9.3
This was the error detail:

Do you suggest that I deactivate the child-theme and then update the main theme?
Yeah because most likely you’ve edited a file in child-theme that we have also modified in these last updates. You can still keep the changes you’ve made in child-theme but you need to use the latest version of those files.
Sorry to tell you but it doesn’t work either. I tried deactivating the child-theme, deleting the child-theme and even deleting both themes and then only uploading the main theme I just downloaded from ThemeForest, and it always breaks the site…

not sure if it is just us or anyone else encounter this. we just updated the theme from 2.9.2 to 2.9.3 and got a minor issue:
we have field region with term hierarchy and have dropdown in advanced search form to use that region field. With 2.9.2, when we select parent region (e.g. state), the result in explore page is filtered right away, and then further with child region (e.g. city), if any. But with 2.9.3, the result is not filtered with parent region, and only filtered with child region. That caused a bit downgrade of UX and hope it was just a minor bug.
Appreciate any directions or a quick look from the team. Other than that, we are seeing a very solid update and thanks to the team!

Hi there! Long time user of your theme. When using Templates 3 and 4, there’s no map icon for users to toggle if they want to search via the map. Is there a workaround for this? I love both the style of 3 and 4, less intrusive to the eye imo. Is there anyway of adding the map icon toggle to these templates?

Hi, one of my clients is using this theme.
I’m optimizing their SEO. Permalinks in this theme are NOT optimized. For any taxonomy, you’ll have a slug /ex-slug/, but for the child-taxonomies, you will have also another slug /ex2-slug/, meaning the slugs don’t show the parent category and there is no option to change this (ex. mywebsite.com/listings/ex-slug/ex2-slug/post, this doesn’t work).
Also, taxonomies are applied to all the listings, and then you add some filters to it so explore page don’t show them. This is a seo error too because we can’t make this type of permalinks mycars.com/cars/ex-tax, you will always have mycars.com/category/ex-tax
there is no way to create a page for taxonomies archives and you’re forced to add a slug base.
Ex. mywebsite.com/my-categories/cat1 - this works fine, but remove cat1, and you will get a 404 error instead an categories archive page

The tabs in the listings are again loaded and showed below all the information on the listing page. Even reviews, some search, woocommerce etc. Even though it’s disabled in the listing settings. In the WP Editor? WordPress only allows that button for admins, we don’t have a solution for that.
Also, how can I switch from the visual editor to the HTML editor? In the past, this option was available. The listings I have currently have both images and content, but I am unable to add images or HTML to the listings.

The other thing that can cause the issue is if you’re using a translation plugin (e.g. Loco Translate) and you’ve translated the my-bookmarks string. In that case you need to add the translation in the link of the bookmark link. Check if that’s the case.

No that’s not available. When you click on a category or region however the url will be */category/category-name/ or */region/region-name/. Example from our demo: https://main.mylistingtheme.com/region/london/

I have a questions about API calls after the longitude and latitude of the listing is saved in the listing.
When someone searches for a nearby listing on a phone, does that make another call from my Google API or is it from their phone IP?
I’m just wondering if a lot of phone traffic looks up nearby listings if that would increase my costs with API calls to Google. OR is the API call only when I create the listing.

Listing coordinates are stored once when the listing is created, and no additional API calls are made for it.
When searching for listings, API calls are made when the user uses the Location filter to type their address or search for a specific address to narrow results down to. Once the address is selected, there are no additional API calls needed to perform the search, it’s all done on data stored on your website already.

So to be clear, API calls are when i create a listing AND when a user searches for a listing based on their location proximity.
The user on phones will be sent to the search page which will filter the listings to the proximity of the user on the phone
API calls are made whenever you use the location filter. When you’re on the phone and filter by proximity a call is made to get your location.

When I try to display the company name (listing 1) in the preview card of listing 2 and 3, I got the listing ID. It works great in the single page : https://connect.loirevalley.co/explore/?type=formations&sort=ajoutes-recemment
