The stm post type plugin is giving me a critical error when upgrading to newest WP.

WordPress 6.1 Fatal Error Fix

Our latest release caused a lot of trouble and we’re really sorry about it. These steps should help to rectify the issues.

No access to the WordPress Dashboard after WordPress update?

1. Log in to your ThemeForest profile and download the latest version of the Motors Theme. The following steps outlined in this manual show you how to do that – https://docs.stylemixthemes.com/motors-theme-documentation/general/included-files#how-to-download-motors-theme

2. Unzip the motors.zip archive you downloaded from ThemeForest.

3. Connect to your WordPress site via FTP/Cpanel and navigate to the following directory: ”.../wp-content/themes/”.

4. Now that you have unzipped the motors folder in Step 2 and found the themes directory in Step 3, upload the motors folder into the themes directory. (You need to accept the replacement).

5. Then navigate to the following directory: ”.../wp-content/plugins/” and remove the folders called ‘stm-post-type’ and ‘stm-motors-extends’.

6. Connect to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Appearance > Install Plugins.

7. Select the STM Post Type and STM Motors Extends plugins and click Install via Bulk Actions.

Get Fatal Error after the STM Post Type update to v4.5.6?

1. Login to your ThemeForest profile and download the Motors package (All files & documentation).

2. Unzip the motors package and navigate to the Bundled Plugins folder.

3. In the Bundled Plugins folder, find the STM Motors Extends plugin zip archive.

4. Unzipping the plugin zip archive.

5. Connect to your WordPress site via FTP/Cpanel and navigate to the following directory: ”.../wp-content/plugins/”.

6. Find the stm-motors-extends folder and remove it.

7. Upload the unzipped stm-motors-extends folder in Step 2 to the ”.../wp-content/plugins/” directory.

Hello, I would love to buy this templat but since it ’s for a luxury rental car website I do not need to have the Search inventory(home page) or Search Options in invetory grid page. Is this something I can take out easily? Thank you for your response. Laurent

Hi, i realize that after i fixed the wordpress fatal error the latest version theme – Car Rental date reservation got some bug. The timestamp suppose to be in 24 hours format, but after you select the time e.g. 1500, it end up always show 0300 (back to 12 hrs format). This confused our customer alot…Can you please advise the fix? or release a fix for the timestamp format issue?

hi, please see the drop off time that i tested. I am aware that the pickup time need to be future time and that the reason why i can’t select the timing in the demo. However, after i selected the timing for the drop off time the format changed to 12 hours format. It SUPPOSE TO SHOW 24 HOURS format. For EXAMPLE: if i select 1400, it should display 1400 on the dropdown box BUT instead of showing 1400, it display 0200 instead which user will think that is 2am in the morning instead of 2pm! Can you guys please look into this issue??

Location taxonomy. This theme is lacking “Location” taxonomy which is very crucial for SEO. Can we have location and sub-location taxonomy for this theme please in your next update? We need to optimize locations for SEO. Location taxonomy is key please. e.g someone searching ” Cars For Sale in New York” then we can map location with sub-location the same way categories have subcategories. This is needed ASAP, please. I need to optimize locations just like categories for SEO

Hi, i want to buy the theme but i looked everywhere and i don’t see if it has registration for Pro sellers and Private sellers! Pro sellers need to provide VAT information! And another thing which i think is the most important part, i don’t see if this theme has the pay to Bump-up listings! I think you should work a little more on the monetization part because that’s how we earn money! Thanks

In the Classified demo layouts, there are three user types by default. They are admins, simple sellers (users), and dealers. Listings can be set as featured via purchasing. If the user wants to set his listing as featured he will need to pay an extra fee. You as admin of the site can set the “Enable Paid Featured listing” option under the Theme options > user dealer > paid featured listing section, there you can set the price as well. Moreover, you can make a listing as featured by enabling/disabling the Special offer option under the Listing manager > Specials section of the backend of a single listing. Hi, thanks for your reply! What i mean by registration for pro sellers i mean having two different type of registration forms! One for private seller and one for professionals! Pros has to provide legal info about his company while registering! Your system is build to switch from regular user to pro seller which is not ideal! It’s too much work which could be eliminated very easily by adding a few extra fields on the registration form! Regarding the monetization methods, there’s Bump-Up method which adds the listing to the top of the list only once after the seller has paid! Then there’s the sticky feature which pins the Ad to the top for a specified period of time! And then there’s the Featured feature, the one you have on your theme which is the least effective one! Check the Classiads theme, it has this system! I hope you listen to your clients because i saw multiple requests for the same features! Thanks

I thought I was the only one who had problems with the theme, it is exhausting the continuous updates on the site that in most cases generate problems with the site. I have to be constantly correcting is a shame. then there is the issue of support 4 days to answer you and you just get dizzy. If you are about to decide to buy this theme do not do it you will gain quality of life.

All the created tickets will be checked and replied to you according to the ticket created special ID queue and assigned individually to our support managers directly. I heard people are having issues when they update to version 5.3.2. I decided to wait and I see now you have a new 5.3.3 update. If I update straight to the new 5.3.3 should I still worry about the warning you added for 5.3.2? ...... or can I ignore this warning:

Before updating the WordPress to the version 6.1, the Theme (v5.3.2), STM Motors Extends (v1.8.8), STM Post Type (v4.8.5) should be updated to the latest versions. Otherwise, the theme will not be incompatible with WordPress version, and Fatal errors may occur.

that image link didn’t work but I went into the Theme options -> Inventory Settings -> Main Section… and it already says “Inventory” but on the home page it says “Cars for Sale” for the Filter title and there is no setting for that STM Classic Filter title.

After the update, user/dealer profile no longer showing two columns of posted items (Subscription ads and paid on posting ads). Its just one column with the heading “inventory” can’t e have the previous style back

The login/register will be fixed as soon as possible. Plugins like WP Bakery page builder are not free in general. We have bought those paid plugins from our end and included them in our theme packages as external plugins and they are active from the theme side, so you can use those plugins without any restriction. All the updates we will include with the theme regular updates. So, the update of the plugins you will be able to get as soon as there will be the theme update

Hi, hope you are fine after all these troubles with updating ! So we are back again concerning the issue with a-tag (custom_link) on single image in your olugin motors-wpbakery-widgets. Since update 5.2.0 – 23.5.2022 – this has not been fixed. The problem is that due to this issue, we can’t update and missed 13 updates from Motors and can’t update Wordpress core either. This is a SECURITY and performance PROBLEM ! Each time you say that this issue is on your list, we can understand that, but you should understand as well that this issue causes us enormous headaches ! This option using a photo with a custom link to another url, always existed in wp-bakery, still exists, because desactivating your plugin, the a-tag is working again. Please could you have a look at that and fix it. We are using this option many times on our homepage on 2 websites and depend on this option. In motors-wpbakery-widgets -> templates -> vc_single_image.php, line 152, case ‘custom_link’: // $stm_link is already defined. break; might be the problem. We tried several changes to fix it ourselves, but don’t find the solution. So please, this is very urgent now, for our dashboard with all these updates hanging looks like a mess ! If you can post the solution here, so we can fix it ourselves, that would be kind too. THanks for your understanding Kind regards.

Hello and thank you for your answer. Ok, but waiting more than 5 months for this fix means that it is really not important for you. Now, Woocommerce has 8 obselete files because not being able to update from motors 5.1.7 to 5.3.2. We think, it is very important because all the system depends on these updates. We really don’t understand why it is taking so long. Thank you anyway and nice day to you.
