After updating to 7.9, there is a related post-display issue. If you only have two posts and set the related posts column to 3, no related posts are shown. Also, if you have mouse scroll, enable three duplicate posts will show when you scroll.

Hi there

That has not been reported as an issue within our support, and checking that I cannot replicate it. It could be something specific to your install and/or 3rd party-related.

We would need to check your install and because the comments section cannot be used for support, please submit a ticket using the link below, and a member of our team will gladly assist you.

Is it possible to somehow roll back from 7.9 to the previous version? I don’t have time to go through and troubleshoot the issues the update has caused at the moment. Support only seems to respond once within a 24 hour period and that’s not much help.

Hi there

You can, as with any hosting provider, roll back using one of your incremental backups. Further to that, for any update, always make sure you have made backups prior to updating.

A member of our team replied to your support ticket 11hrs ago, and you replied one hour ago. What must be taken into consideration are time zones and weekend hours. Be rest assured, a member of our team will respond there as soon as possible.

In terms of the issue you reported, video dimensions not adhering, there isn’t anything in the update that would affect that, and we do not see dimension-related issues on your test page. We have replied to your ticket again and provided a recorded video of the result. Please check your inbox.

Thank you, MB

Thank you. I did review the video that was put together and it works perfectly fine in that test. However, my issue was on tablet… not desktop. Also, there is definitely an issue with the video dimensions as all of my videos are now stuck at 100% width and that was never the case before. However, I will take the convo offline. Thanks for the response.

Hi

Thank you for your update. Our team will respond to you further in your ticket.

We look forward to helping you!

Thank you, Shaminder

Hello, i juste update with the last version 7.9, update plugins but page with avadabuilder don’t work (grey block). i retry to upload avada Manualy…

Hello @ADILPARIS

Regarding the widgets please make sure that you have the legacy widgets enabled inside Avada > Global Options > Advanced > Features Tab

Regarding the Avada Builder, please make sure its enabled for your post types from Avada > Builder Options Tab

Also, please disable your child theme for the time being completely along with any other 3rd party plugin(s) in case they are causing the issue, in order to provide a more concise response on why this could be happening we will need to take a closer look into your site, please open a support ticket with our team further.

Thanks Ammar, i have solution : delete and recreate theme child ( Of course make a backup of the custom css sheet before) and now, i think it’s perfect.

Glad to hear that you have worked this out :)

lot of bugs 7.9 : all widgets are missing !!! EDIT : i see you have made a buton for active or not on the global options….............. ok…............let us know before^^ thanks!

Hi there

It is possible that the automatic upgrade routine has not run on your installation. For the widgets, go to:

Avada Dashboard > Options > Global Options > Advanced > Features > Legacy Widget Areas – https://d.pr/i/3uP8EZ

Thank you, MB

This morning I figured out that Avada plugins and its core were disabled. I had to do the Avada update. After the update, I realize that the site no longer works, to be precise, the woocomerce category pages gave an error. To fix it I disabled Contact Form Plugin, but the problem is not with this plugin that I haven’t updated.

Hi,

Avada core and builder are needed to run Avada. The plugins would not be disabled in any theme updates or settings. It would be difficult to assess/advise on the issue via the comments section. We would request you to please contact our support team to have your issue checked by them

Dear All,

We have updated your theme, but it is necessary to update Avada Core and Avada Builder as well. However, it tells us that our code is already being used on other websites, even though we have 5 licenses, we can’t and none of the licenses work.

Hello @BakirDeljkovic

Please log into your support account and you should be able to see where the purchase code is assigned to, you can do that by simply going to our company site here => https://theme-fusion.com/ and then moving to Support > My Account Submenu > Register Purchase code and removing the domain from there => https://share.getcloudapp.com/JruxewJO also click on “Unregister” button on your theme dashboard if the purchase code is still being used, more about this can be read here => https://bit.ly/3htBjhf

If you need further assistance with this, please open a support ticket and our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Hello,

I tried to log in to the profile, but it tells me again that the license is in use and taken. I can’t log in to reach support. Is there a possibility to downgrade the theme to the old version that was on our site (6.7.1) and according to which the plugins are relevant.

Hi,

If you cannot reach support, you can contact us via the form on this page: http://bit.ly/2NJoU51

Please explain your issue in detail there and we can check this further for you.

Thank you. – Abbas

Hello.

I want to consult a problem that I am having after “updating” two Avada websites and after several problems updating Avada plugins.

The support period has ended, and I have no way to send you a ticket explaining the problem (I understand that these problems must be solved without having to buy a new support period)

I explain both cases and the problem with updating in both cases

CASES

1) Web I. Update I November On the first page where I had no update issues.

The template was updated just a month ago to Version: 5.7.2. I made it through the Envato Market plugin. Now I see that it is not available to do it with Web II.

On this same page I have the updated Fusion Builder (1.7.2) and Fusion Core (3.7.2) plugins installed.

2) Web II update December Yesterday I tried to update another website that I have with the Avada template (Avada Version: 7.0.2)

I was not able to update the template now with the Envato Market plugin, so I followed the indicated update steps (https://bit.ly/3EA2vlR).

After updating the template without Envato Market, I tried to update the Avada Core and Avada Builder plugins, but when I was doing that, I constantly got this error: “Fusion Core installation failed. The update procedure could not delete the plugin due to a permissions issue on your server. Please ask your hosting provider to check the permissions level or manually remove the plugin via FTP or WordPress before attempting to reinstall it.”

Also I tried to delete that plugins and install them from the Avada panel. It also failed.

I have checked with my tech support and there are no permissions issues.

I tried to upload manually that plugis after downloading them from https://theme-fusion.com/support/avada-plugins/. It looked like went good the update of that plugins, but…. when I do so I see that the footer disappears from the web and the widgets options in the admin panel from the administration panel. I don’t understand why this happens and it points an internal error in the web…

On the other hand, unlike the update of the web I, in this update of the web II, I see that I have different plugins installed than those of the I: Avada Builder (Version 3.9) and Avada Core (Version 5.9) Why??, why the Web I was updated with other plugins and does not ask for an update?

:: PROBLEMS ::

Why in the previous web update Avada was updated with Fusion Builder and Fusion Core plugins and a lower version and in this one that I just did now, there are updates with different Avada Builder and Avada Core plugins? The same happens with the template, in the previous website in November, it was updated to 5.7.2, while the one I have done now, the template version was 7.0.2 and now it is 7.9.

Why did the footer on the website that I just updated disappear and the plugins section disappear?

Why on the web I updated the template with Envato Market doesn’t ask to upgrade to 7.9 or change the plugins from Fusion Builder and Fusion Core to Avada Builder and Avada Core?

It is quite a mess of versions and the indicated problem that I see appearing on the web II in terms of the disappearance of the footer and the Widgets section.

Interestingly the technical support expired recently after I bought a license last year and asks me to renew it.

I don’t understand this disparity of versions and problems for updating the plugins and the Avada theme itself.

I’ve had similar issues with updates before and I’m considering continuing to purchase Avada licenses because of all the issues I encounter when an update arrives.

I would like you to be able to review both websites to keep them up to date taking into account the problems found without having to renew support (something I have been able to do with other templates with similar problems and support licence expired)

I am then waiting for a response to see if I can send you a ticket and you can both websites and leave them updated before such a mess of versions.

Regards.

Hello @galerna

To clear this up, you do not need ENVATO market plugin in order to update Avada, the only prerequisite to get Avada updates are the following.

a. Making sure that your site is registered with a valid purchase code.
b. Making sure that you have a default WP theme installed (not active).

If both are done, you do not need any 3rd party plugin(s) to be notified of the updates.

Other than that, it appears that while updating some of your previous files for plugin(s) were not replaces or removed, this can be caused due to to either wrong server permissions or some other plugin causing the conflict, doing the alternate FTP transfer as mentioned in our document post here => https://bit.ly/3WnUmYW should solve the issue.

Regarding the footer widgets being removed, please make sure that you have enabled your legacy widgets inside Avada > Global Options > Advanced Features Tab.

I am also sending you an email on the associated address with your support account, please communicate with us there further.

Thanks

Hi, after the update to 7.9 the sites are broken only on mobile. I have this on 3 websites. Photos are not visible and the text is mixed up.

Hi,

This can usually be a cache issue after an update. Please flush your cache plugins (if any) and browser cache and see if it helps.

As this area is not a support platform and is meant for pre-sale queries/generalities, if you still see issues, please create a support ticket with our team on the below page and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

I update to Avada 7.9 from last version (7.8.2) and i have to say that in Legacy Container in columns (fusion-column-wrapper) add automatically a extra margin left and right

Hello @trisquelmedia

Can you please check your global options inside the container and see if any margin is set there, I will also recommend switching to flex container for future. We have refactored some elements as well, please also try regenerating your critical CSS once.

If the issue persists, please open a support ticket with our team and we will follow up further.

Hello! I understand that there are a lot of Prebuilt Websites. Are there any features of this theme like Prebuilt Contents or Prebuilt Blocks? If so, how many are there? I would like to know if there are readymades for blocks or sections rather than entire websites.

Hello @haruki

We actually have an Avada Studio where you can import individual elements and sections, we also have an option for importing individual pages of prebuilt websites, you can read more about it here => https://bit.ly/3VXGwNe

If you need further assistance with this, please open a support ticket and our team will follow thru.

Hi Avada, I updated wordpress and plugins, my site is still working. But everytime I update Avada theme (with registration or manually) the site got critical error. I’m using theme version 5.9.1 now so maybe the update is too big. Is it possible to download somewhere a lower version, so I can first go to version 6 before heading over to the latest version 7+? Thanks a lot!

Hello @jannnneke

You should actually be able to update from 5.9.1 directly towards 7.9 that is our latest version of Avada, if you are getting a critical error please make sure that your system status shows no limits in red, try increasing your memory limit and also disable all your 3rd party plugin(s) once and then update, also please completely remove Avada Core and Avada Builder first and then reinstall the later versions, if the issue persists you can open a support ticket with our team below.

Ahh thank you so much, I’ve edited some php settings on server and first deleted avada core and builder, that helped! Thanks!!

Glad to hear you’re all set. :)

After the update to 7.9, widgets are no longer showing up; both on the front end and the widget admin area. Is there something we need to do to fix this or get this functionality back? This is breaking on all of our websites updated to 7.9

this is fixed by changing: “Go to Global Options > Advanced – Features and ensure that Legacy Widget Areas is set to On.”

Hi

Thanks for the update. If you require further assistance or have any further questions, please create a support ticket using the link below and our support team will gladly assist you

Thank you, Shaminder

Hi,

after patching towards 7.9 “There has been a critical error on this website.” in posts.”

Even on your website in the posts detail section (i.g. changelog) you have the problem ;-)

Hi

We are able to see the changelog at our end, Screenshot here. As for the critical error, we are not able to see a similar issues in updates are our end. It would be difficult to assess/advise on the issue via the comments section. We would request you to please contact our support team to have your issue checked by them

Same here. It just won’t update… IT does but then it still shows the update available…

Hi

You can fix this by enabling classic widgets. This can be done by going to WordPress admin panel dashboard → Avada → Options → Advanced ⇒ Theme Features, Screenshot here

Thank you

Excellent. Now how do we get the sidebar back both in the backend page editor and on the frontend?? That is still missing…

Hi,

You can make checks the that the sidebar are assigned in the manner they were before. If you still face an issue, please reach out to support

Thank you

Hi! Can’t update from AVADA 7.82 to 7.9 After installing the update it shows that all went well, but 7.82 is still installed.

Hello @Markus_Wolf

It can take update sometime to show up, we have just tested and confirmed the auto update should go thru just fine, please try again once on your end.

Thanks

-Ammar

O.K. just tried it again and… it worked. That’s quite amazing, especially since I haven’t done anything else. Case closed. :-)

Glad to hear that :)

hi, when i bought this theme I registered the Purchase Code and used it normally, but today I saw the phrase “The purchase code is already being used by another domain.” On the theme support page, “Purchase code is already in use.” The phrase pops up and I am in a state where I can’t do anything. What should I do?

The domain where the purchase code is registered is a virtual domain, and the domain currently being used is another domain.

Hello @bingglepts

With our registration system your domain is actually bound to the Purchase code, however if for some reason you want to unbind the domain or in scenarios where you need to test by installing Avada multiple times on same domain, or you want to check different prebuilt websites after resetting Avada, this may cause such notification to come up, the solution to this is by simply going to our company site here => https://theme-fusion.com/ and then moving to Support > My Account Submenu > Register Purchase code and removing the domain from there => https://bit.ly/3W9xxbO also click on “Unregister” button on your Avada dashboard if the purchase code is still being used, more about this can be read here => https://bit.ly/3HJ0qr2

Thanks

-Ammar

Thnaks for reaching me out! I am updating from 4 so I will ignore the registration for now and make update step by step in versions as described.

Hello @cornello

That is the right way to move forward as the updates will be manually performed, do register once you reach version 7.4 or above.

Thanks

-Ammar

Hello, I once purchased this theme and I am running an active page with it. Now I have to make theme updates which its not possible cause I need an API key to enter for registration first. But this API key is not anymore provided by themeforest to generate cause newer versions don´t need it anymore. What to do now? Where to get my API key to make my updates? I need it urgently cause the fusion builder inside the Avada theme doesn´t work anymore! Please help, thanks!

Hi,

What version are you updating from?

For now you can ignore registration and update to latest version via the staggered update method as guided on below link. Once you’re on latest Avada 7.8.2 version – you can register with our new Purchase Code registration method.

https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/install-update/updating-avada-older-versions/
