Hi, when I insert a videos, either by uploading or with the Youtube link, the thumbnail image does not appear automatically in the Featured videos widget. I have installed the Video Thumbnails and Videopack plugins. The site: https://myride.it/ How can I make the preview immmage show in the widget if it is not uploaded a thumbnail image by the user?

Have you configured the Video Thumbnails plugin as detailed in the documentation? Please note that this plugin can only generate thumbnails from YouTube videos and does not support generating images from other files https://videotube.marstheme.com/documentation/#video_thumbnails
Videopack is an excellent plugin that can generate images and transcode files to MP4 format. However, please note that it requires FFmpeg to be installed on your server. Without FFmpeg, this plugin cannot work and you will need to upload the images manually.
VideoTube is primarily developed as a video blog theme, If you’re looking to create a flexible and feature-rich streaming website, I highly recommend choosing StreamTube instead. It offers a wide range of features and is easily extendable to suit your needs.

Hello I have just purchased the new stream tube, it looks good, but I’m guessing there’s no easy way to swap all the videos from my previous video tube site? Do I need to just manually input them? StreamTube supports all existing VideoTube content, including videos, categories, and tags. You won’t need to add your old videos manually, but some data may be lost after switching to StreamTube, for instance: page views and post likes.
Sure, but you will need a dedicated server/VPS with FFmpeg installed to transcode the file. If you only have shared hosting, you can use either Bunny Stream or Cloudflare Stream services. I’m also looking for a torrent streaming theme. Not sure if your theme is able to stream torrents directly. What I want is to be able to insert a Magnet URL or point to a torrent file on the server and have it stream its video on the website. Is this something that could be done with your theme or do you know where to find such themes?

A required plugin is not usable due to security concerns and as soon as the theme is activated PHP Notice: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in C:\inetpub\wwroot\media\wp-content\themes\videotube\includes\class-author.php on line 72 tried with PHP7.4 with PHP8.0 all other themes are running the new WP version is used. I ask for a refund.

Hi, we are ‘legit’ and it makes absolutely no sense to ‘escalate’ this with themeforest or the authors (you are the one that decided to buy from a third party GPL site for $4 and avoid purchasing from the authors for full price when reading exactly and precisely what is included on the product page, your threats do not make sense).
However, I can see that you aren’t willing to see reason (nor appreciate my suggestion to send you a replacement entirely for free even though you made the decision to buy that particular theme with that particular version, something we usually do not offer). So I will process your refund, good luck with other vendors and your projects.

Hello, the redux plugin with your plugin bundle now causes the videos to break. The videos worked okay prior to the updated redux plugin a week ago. I uninstalled the redux plugin and the videos work again but the theme options like changing the logo, etc… are no longer available.

I’m not sure I received your question before, I have updated the theme and the Videotube Core plugin, the language POT file is fixed.
After updating the theme, you can navigate to Appearance > Install Plugins and update the Videotube Core plugin (1.3.5), also, you may update the WPbakery (6.9.0) plugin as you wish.

We are using your theme to host videos and articles from multiple authors. On the author page (and others) we want to show a mixed media of both videos and article posts from the same category/author, etc. When I tried to put in the post code into the existing author.php, it only shows the videos and links to videos. No regular article posts are there.

Regular Post and Video are separated, we can only show these post types on the author page, not the category page.
You may add the categories of regular post type to menu as you might know https://nimb.ws/R6NjCe
To show a mixed post from the author page, firstly, I suggest that you activate the child theme (videotube-child.zip) which is included in the All files and Documentation package, then, put this code snippet at the end of wp-content/themes/videotube-child/functions.php file.
