Hi, I have few questions regarding the theme before I buy it. I’m in Europe not the states so I have some other requirements for the listing like I see in the demo there is no option to say if it is a Diesel, Gasoline, LPG, Hybrid or EV. There is a big part of the site with focus on fuel economy, this is not normal in Europe. I see I can add a category but how can I make the list for the category. Also when adding a new do I always need to add the VIN number first to the VIN list so I can choice it from there? Also is it possible to get a demo with the import function added? Regards Ingvar
Thanks for your interest in our products! The Listing Categories are completely customizable, you can just create a new Listing Category for ‘Fuel Type’ (or call it whatever you want), and then you can all of these values for ‘Diesel’, ‘Gasoline’, ‘EV’, ‘Hybrid’, etc as you create listings that fall into these categories. When you create a new listing, for the ‘Fuel Type’ category (or whatever you call it), just click Add New and create the new value if it’s not already listed. You can then filter your inventory based on the values in this new category.
Regarding the VIN number, you can just add the VIN number when you are creating the new listing. You don’t need to add the VIN number to the VIN category before creating the listing. It will get added automatically when you create the new listing.
For the import functionality, we unfortunately have had to disable that in the demo as we had some wise guys that kept trying to crash our server with massive consecutive imports. It’s pretty straight forward though, if you have any specific questions about the process just let us know.
Hi and thanks for the reply.
Then I have more questions.
1. On the inventory page you have a filter, can I customize that filter so I have my own options to filter on, like I would like to filter on Make, Model, Year, Fuel Type and Mileage and remove the rest?
2. Also on the inventory could I then also customize which Sort By options would be available?
3. Can I delete fields I will not use like fuel efficient?
4. I tried in a demo environment to try to remove the finance box but it did not go away. Is it not possible to complete remove the finance box from all pages?
5. When I install the theme on my server after buying do you have a demo dataset so I start off like the demo site, easier to customize from that than starting from scratch?
Regards Ingvar
1. Yes, the categories and filters are fully customizable. You can disable or delete any that you will not use.
2. Yes, you can choose which Sort By options are available and change the default as well
3. Yes, just delete any fields you won’t use
4. Likely you still have it set in the WordPress sidebar settings under Appearance >> Widgets. If you delete it from there as well it will disappear.
5. Yes, when you install the theme it will ask you if you want to install the demo content. If you choose to install the demo content it will set it up exactly like our demo site with settings, pages, posts, etc so you don’t have to start from scratch.
Hi there! Excellent theme!
We built out new website on a subdomain to avoid downtime on our exisitng website and have just moved it over to the main domain but now it says the license is already being used. How do I fix this?
Thanks for the kind words, glad your are enjoying our Automotive WordPress theme!
You can reset your license on our Support site under My Products. You can read more about how to do that in this knowledgebase item: https://support.themesuite.com/kb/faq.php?id=15
Is this still the proper way to adjust the image size on the vehicle scroller? https://support.themesuite.com/kb/faq.php?id=21
Yes it is
Great. Once you apply that code, where do you adjust the size?
You will need to use a plugin like the one linked in the article to regenerate the images. If you need assistance with it please open a Support Ticket including temporary login details to your website.
I have a thumb regenerator, if I want to get them to 250px, do I just change the px in the code?
Correct
The image size does not change after code change and regenerate?
You may have to clear your browser history/cache and flush any caches you have on your server. If that doesn’t fix it, please renew your support and open a Support Ticket including temporary FTP and wp-admin login details to your website so we can investigate. Thanks!
seems like the code is still keeping the default image size of 167×119;
6208-300×200.jpg” alt=”” class=”img-responsive no_border” width=”167” height=”119”>”
Do I need to change the code elsewhere?
Sorry for the confusion on this, we just tested it in here and it looks like for the vehicle scroller there is a different filter controlling the width and height of that item. We will adjust it in the next update, so the exact code in the knowledgebase item that you are using will automatically work (after the next update). If you need us to provide you with some custom code to make it work immediately in the meantime, please open a Support Ticket and we can send it to you. Otherwise when the next update is released it will work. Thanks!
Where is this file located on the latest version of wordpress?
It’s in the same location in the functions.php file of the theme (or maybe a child theme if you have customized it with a child theme). If you need further assistance please renew your support on ThemeForest and open a support ticket at https://support.themesuite.com
BUG ALERT: I noticed that Elementor Pro Hero Heading (text) Element is missing and an Automotive replacement is used… destroying the Elementor Block layout and style(s). Is there a Fix for this??
Can you send us a screenshot via email to support@themesuite.com of what you are seeing on your end and a temporary login to your website? We are having trouble replicating this on our end, but certainly if there is a bug in our software we will get it fixed.
Thanks for sending that over! We have got this fixed in the latest version, you can download it now on ThemeForest
I have an issue with Themeforest Automatic Updates. It has been working since registered but today I can not seem to update due to being registered to a beta subdomain name. Can you help?
You can reset your license on our support site under My Products. Please see this knowledgebase item for more information: https://support.themesuite.com/kb/faq.php?id=15
What is the url to your support site?
CAN I CUSTOMIZE THIS ACCORDING TO OUR CSV FORMAT? WE ARE EXPORTING A CSV FROM ANOTHER VENDOR AND PLAN TO UPLOAD IT TO OUR SITE, THANKS
Yes, it is fully customizable for CSV imports
can we use japanese language and currency in this theme? also do we have a customer portal
The theme and Automotive Listings plugin are fully translatable with Poedit or a similar translation tool. The currency is also fully customizable and will work with any currency. I’m not sure what you mean by ‘customer portal’ but we do have a Front End Submission plugin that is sold separately from the theme that provides end users access to purchase and submit ads from the front end of the website, and make payments with PayPal or Stripe. If you would like some more information about this plugin, please send an email to sales@themesuite.com – Thanks!
Hello, I have 2 licences of your theme but I just noticed that they are both assigned to a staging domain name that was used during development. Both sebsites are now live and I would like to have the licences correctly assigned to the domains. I know the support is expired but I think you could at least help me with this. Thank you.
You can reset your licenses on our support site at http://support.themesuite.com – please refer to this knowledgebase item for more information: https://support.themesuite.com/kb/faq.php?id=15 – Thanks!
Can I hide Single Listing page Breadcrumb?
Yes, you can do this under Theme Options >> Header Settings >> Breadcrumbs
If you need any further assistance please open a Support Ticket at https://support.themesuite.com as the Comments section is not for support
Trying to help a client understand why the site’s tag line is overriding the meta description set with Rank Math. Any idea why this happens?
Please open a Support Ticket and one of our developers will be able to assist you with this. Thanks!
Can’t create ticket for support. Because the URL (https://support.themesuite.com) stopped working after long load.
Please email a screenshot of the error you are getting at https://support.themesuite.com to support@themesuite.com – it seems to be working fine for me and we haven’t had any other reported issues, so it seems to be something isolated to your connection. If you email us the details we will be happy to help you sort it out. Thanks!
Can I move Hamberger menu position right to left on mobile. & Onclick Hamberger menu open up from left instead of top to bottom.
That would take some customization, but please feel free to open up a Support Ticket at https://support.themesuite.com and one of our developers can better advise what needs to be customized. Thanks!
Hello. I have used this for several years with no problems. Thank you!
I have been up all night as on File Import (.csv) I get this:
"Request failed: error, you can refresh the page to continue importing the rest of the listings".
I have done things the same. All columns match. Any suggestions?
Thank YOU!
...I should say it fails after 48 of 159..
Please open up a Support Ticket including temporary access to your website and error log so we can have a look at this for you. Thanks!
Fantastic theme. Been using it for years, my customers love it.
A couple concerns: If you visit our site and click on a vehicle image it opens 2 images, one that zooms and one that is static. See below: https://littlebroscarsales.com/listings/2017-audi-a4-2-0-quattro-premium-tsfi-awd-2/Also, is there a way to make the page numbers on the top and bottom of the inventory listing a little larger? Sometimes my customers miss them.
Thanks for the kind words! It looks like you have some errors in your console, it could be either a conflict with another plugin you have added, or looking at the code it may be the way you have minified and cached the code. I would try disabling any third party plugins you have added and disable your caching/minification and see if that fixes the issue. Regarding the larger numbers, you would need to use some custom CSS to change the size as there is no integrated panel option to change the size of the page numbers. If you have any further questions or issues please renew your support and open up a support ticket at https://support.themesuite.com – Thanks!
Hi! I want to report a security breach that probably has effected the Automotive Listings plugin since we have managed to trace the spam link that appears to these parts of the site. It’s a big problem since we can’t delete the plugin itself as the page structure relies on it. What can we do about this?
We haven’t had any other reports of any security breaches, but please email the details to support@themesuite.com, temporary access to your website, and access to your website raw access logs and we will have a look at to ensure this is not an issue with our product. More than likely your website was hacked through an insecure password or some other vulnerability, but we will investigate to confirm.
Hello there,
I think I found a bug in your automotive plugin that creates a conflict with Woocommerce products quick save.
For example, when I try to change the quantity of a product from “All products” section of Woocommerce using the quick save funcionality, it logs this error: “Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: Illegal string offset ‘price’ in …/wp-content/plugins/automotive/save.php on line 23PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Cannot use string offset as an array in …/wp-content/plugins/automotive/save.php:23”
I checked the line and this function returns an empty string: $post_options = get_post_meta($post_id, ‘listing_options’, true);
I’m currently using the 17.6.1 version of the plugin.
Has this bug been fixed with the next releases?
Thank you!
Thank you, this has been fixed in the next release that will be coming out later today
Great news! Thank you
That update is available on ThemeForest now
hi guys you have a demo of this tool wil it works on my website www.cardealerss.com
It looks like it should work with your website as it is WordPress as well. We do have a way of connecting the Inventory Listings with WooCommerce for selling products online, but you would need to create an equivalent product in WooCommerce for the Buy Online button to work. Also if you allow customers to purchase ads or listings and submit them from the Front End you would need our Front End Submission plugin (sold separately from the theme). You can send an email to sales@themesuite.com if you would like some more information on this plugin. Thanks!
Hi, How can I’m reinstalling a website and want to use the theme, it says the purchase code is already in use, how can I unplugged it from the other website ? there is no more access to it
You can reset your license under My Products on our support site. You can read more about how to do that here: https://support.themesuite.com/kb/faq.php?id=15
Hello, we have cars and motors on our listing. How can we display them apart on different pages? What code should we use? Cant find it in the documentation…
You can just use the Inventory Listings shortcode to display whatever filters or categories you want. Basically you just create a page for Cars and a page for Motors and then set the filters on each shortcode to only display those specific listings. If you need further assistance with this please renew your support and open up a Support Ticket and we would be happy to assist you further!
Hello, Would it be possible to rent cars with this template?
Would it be possible to rent and pay with stripe and paypal?
Please let me know, because I’m very interested.
Also is Compatible with Elementor?
Thank you
Thanks for your interest! It does fully support WooCommerce which supports Stripe and PayPal, but you would need to use a Booking plugin in conjunction with this in order to have ‘rent’ functionality. We do have it set up that you can connect listings with WooCommerce products, but you would still need the ‘booking’ functionality in order to not ‘sell’ the product in a one time sale.
And yes, it does support Elementor
Thanks for the answer, I’m not an expert …
Where can I find the “booking plugin”?
Where can I buy it?
Do you sell it?
How does it work? Thank you
I just did a quick Google search on ‘WooCommerce booking plugin’ and a bunch of results come up. We don’t offer anything specific to this functionality, nor have we tested any specific booking plugins, but it looks like there are quite a few options that I think would accomplish what you want to do.
It looks like CodeCanyon also has a number of options: https://codecanyon.net/search/woocommerce%20booking
Basically WooCommerce is an eCommerce system for individual product sales, but if I’m understanding what you want to do, you just need a plugin that will change the WooCommerce product so that it can be ‘booked’ or ‘reserved’ for a specific amount of time as a bookable resource.
Hello,
Someday you will update the design of this template?
*It’s been 8 years without any visual change…
Cheers
Thank you for your comments and interest in our products! We are working on some updates
