Button bug after latest Ottar update
Hello, after the latest Ottar theme update, the Button element no longer renders correctly: instead of the button, the raw code is displayed. Before the update, everything was working normally.
Could you please check this issue and provide a fix a previous stable version?

Please check if you’ve updated Ottar Core plugin to the latest version (version 1.3 at the moment). After you update the theme all of the plugins with available updates will be listed in Appearance > Install Plugins.

Hello, it appears that WP Bakery is causing issues with the latest Wordpress error resulting in my site showing a critical error page. When I disable WP Bakery plugin the website shows all the backend code across the page, and then when I re-enable it shows critical error again.
Is there a fix, update for this?

The theme is using WPBakery page builder. You can deactivate WPBakery plugin and use Gutenberg Editor, however, do note that the custom shortcodes by the theme won’t be available in Gutenberg Editor as the theme is optimized for WPBakery page builder.
The lottie files are not one of the accepted file types by WordPress, however, you can try using some 3rd party plugin to enable upload of lottie files.

Current version of the theme listed in change log has an improved compatibility with PHP 8.0, however, we haven’t tested the theme with PHP 8.1+.

Hi friends. Presale question: Latest update is on july 22. Is this theme compatible with PHP 8.2 (8.1 would also work) and WP 6.2 and Woocommerce 7.5.1? Cause the latest versions are not in your compatibillity list and i could not find it in the changelog. Or are you already working on an update? Thank you in advance!

The compatibility with PHP 8.0 was improved in the updates, however, we haven’t tested the theme with PHP 8.1+. Theme should work correctly on latest version of WordPress, however we haven’t tested it yet with latest version of WooCommerce.
The theme will be updated, however, at the moment we don’t have an ETA when the update will come out. Once it is updated this will be listed in the change log.

If you need to update theme and bundled plugins please follow instructions from this article – How To Update A WordPress Theme And Plugins. After you update the theme all of the bundled plugins with available updates should be listed in Appearance > Install Plugins.

if the content is in grid, like in this portfolio single page, then maximum width of the grid can be 1300px, which is the case here. However, you can set portfolio type to “Portfolio Full Width Custom” (please see screenshot) and then you can edit it like the regular pages with WPBakery page builder and content can be set to full width.

I had some problems with the portfolio on my website using the Ottar theme.
When I tried to see the projects in the portfolio from a gallery (https://tavan.ca/gallery), the website was not showing the projects, I had a 404 error every time I tried to open a project.
I checked the permalinks and it was ok, I created a new test and the new project test also was working, I checked the settings in the theme and everything was ok, after a couple of hours I did a couple of tests more and everything was ok, now the website is opening all the projects perfectly with the same permalink that wasn’t working before.
Why does that happen? Is any error in the backend or connection issues with some API or something external to my hosting and website that caused this issue?
Please I need to know why this happened asap and I need to know if this could happen again in the future.

Please note that WPbakery does come bundled within the theme and you do not need to activate any license for it as bundled plugins do get updated when the theme is.

Hi there… I have set up a Portfolio category, that I am using on my homepage to display images in Masonry for just that category only…. All my other categories are showing in a separate portfolio page (Work) gallery with a category filter above. My problem is that my ‘homepage’ category shows in the category filter on my main portfolio page, and I can’t exclude it. I have tried using the ‘Show Only Projects with Listed IDs’ function for the portfolio page, which works as it only shows the projects in the categories I want in the filter… BUT my unwanted ‘homepage’ category still shows in the filter. You click on it and no projects show… but not ideal… is there any way of changing this ? I have renamed the category with just . (a dot) but it looks odd in the category filter. thanks

Very poor support, the Theme documentation is full of obviousness information and technical support it is not helpfoul at all, they do not even bother to read your tickets properly and address you to standarized replys that in many cases do not correspon with Theme options at all

We do believe that the theme is well documented, and we do understand that it might be confusing sometimes but you can find our themes documentation here as well as many great articles, and video tutorials that might help you on the way developing your website. Not all of the articles or video tutorials do refer to the Ottar theme but they can usually be referred to as they do have similar options as it is described in the article.

When it comes to archive pages, you should know that these are an already predefined pages but when it comes to blog and portfolio this can for sure be done.
Advanced custom fields is a third party plugin that we simply cannot guaranty theme compatibility as it has not been tested with our theme.
