Broken website, even with php 8.2 … Please fix asap

Deprecated: Return type of Requests_Cookie_Jar::offsetExists($key) should either be compatible with ArrayAccess::offsetExists(mixed $offset): bool, or the #[\ReturnTypeWillChange] attribute should be used to temporarily suppress the notice in /home2///wp-includes/Requests/Cookie/Jar.php on line 63

Hi concilium!

That is a WordPress core bug, you can follow it’s status here: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/56612 As long as they fix it by the time PHP 9 is released then it’s safe to ignore.

You can suppress the frontend notice if you set WP_DEBUG to false in your wp-config.php file.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Hi concilium!

Can you send a message here with any additional details on how to reproduce it?

Thanks and cheers! :)

BUG: I’ve updated my website using the automated facility that comes with the theme. However it has broken the site. I’ve disabled all of the site plugins and reactivated them incrementally and it appears to be an issue with the Fresh Framework plugin specifically? I’ve not updated in a while. I was originally on 1.63.0.

Hi T3Kaos!

Please update your server PHP to version 8 or greater.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Have problem to view your website arktheme.com

Hi moffzar!

It is a bug in Chrome and some other systems HSTS implementation. Either flush your HSTS rules in Chrome or use Firefox which seems to have a much better implementation. A workaround is being worked on currently.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Hello Does your theme support PHP 8 ? I try to update but when I switch 7.4 to 8, I’ve got a error in the front end : Warning: Undefined array key 31 in /wp-includes/nav-menu-template.php on line 211 I have upload the last version of the theme, WP and extensions Thank you

Hi Initials-mb!

yes, it does support PHP 8. That is not an error actually, it’s just a warning that should not cause any issues. If you would like to discuss it further, please feel free to send a message here with any additional details.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Can Freshizer resize webp image?

Hello soma1104!

Not really because it is not widely supported on various hostings. You would need PHP compiled with webp support and also GD extension that is new enough to handle the alpha channel (if you need it) otherwise you get black instead of transparency and a lot of hostings run the older versions unfortunately. But from the Ark side it will be supported in the next version as per your request, although the server requirements outlined above still stand. If you need it right now, please contact support for the new code. A good alternative would be to use a 3rd party service to serve your images so definitely look into that as well.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Update: New Ark version 1.66.0 was released today, it includes the requested webp support, including transparency. Make sure your hosting supports it though.

this theme is getting worst and worst bugs on bugs, shame on you

Hi hgthemeforest!

Please make sure you are running PHP version 8 or greater.

Thanks and cheers! :)

My site is broken. I got the support, sent a ticket yesterday, and still no answer. It’s the Fresh Framework that’s breaking my site.

I got the support actually, and it was fast.

solved via ticket

Yes, it was solved very quickly and I’m happy with the support.

Your “live preview” is broken – just so you know

Hi outlines!

It is a bug in Chrome and some other systems HSTS implementation. Either flush your HSTS rules in Chrome or use Firefox which seems to have a much better implementation. A workaround is being worked on currently.

Thanks and cheers! :)

When updating the theme all my font and design settings have changed and now my website looks terrible. Also the hotel booking not allowing bookings for after Feb. Please assist

Hi Kath021!

You probably just need to refresh the cache. Please send a direct message through here and include any additional details.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Hello, Is this really needed for the theme to work properly : Fresh Menu Item Limit Fix ? There might be a bug in it.

Hi Vifsie!

You are correct, it is only for some very rare edge cases in WordPress, feel free to delete it. You only need Ark Core and Fresh Framework plugins, the rest is completely optional.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Hello I am very happy with yours theme, it’s clean design and incredible features and many good things, but have some problems with “freshizer” it works, but I don’t need it creates wasteful copies of images it waste power resources of my host provider, it creates gigabytes of un useful data and so on. So of course I have disabled it, but problem is after that wordpress uses full sized image on home page, category pages on every single image, that is not good I feel pressed to used that shizer, I have tried to change code from ‘full’ to ‘medium_large’ in file ark_Featured_Area.php on line 187 \ark\builder\helpers it didn’t work. Where do I have to change code to have smaller images for my category pages, or you can fix for all of us that don’t want use freshizer ?

Hello w3tadas!

Like you have said, it is better with freshizer because it compresses your images. This of course requires larger disk space to save those compressed copies alongside the originals. Much better than serving those unnecessarily large original images to your visitors. You also have the option to turn this feature off or change the overall global quality in Theme Options. Regarding the code you mentioned, you don’t need to edit it, you can change the same settings in the Featured Area element itself, plus the desired output size in pixels (which depends on your layout needs). If you have trouble finding where this element is located on your website then take a look at Ark > Layouts or ask support for help.

Thanks and cheers! :)

a new update and new critical bugs. If you buy this theme think twice before you update because the next thing you will see is a critical error.

I prefer to kick myself in the balls before updating this theme again

Hi bellhogar!

You need to use PHP8 or greater on your server so please update it. It is mentioned in the changelog. It is also recommended to not immediately update any themes/plugins in production and use a staging environment for testing first.

Thanks and cheers! :)

So I updated to the latest version some hours ago and the site broke.

I read a response, “You need to use PHP8 or greater on your server so please update it”.

May I know why I should be forced to PHP8 when most plugins I use don’t support PHP8 as of now?

Hi plugli!

The why is explained in the changelog as well. PHP7 has been end-of-life since 2022 so if your plugins do not support PHP8 by now then they probably never will and it is time to look for different plugins because WordPress and Ark need to stay relatively up-to-date with PHP. It is also recommended to pick and use well supported plugins that are continually updated.

Thanks and cheers! :)

Don’t update! 1.65.0 is broken. I had to restore to a previous version. Fresh Framework is the root cause.

Hi shobbins!

Latest version installed today 02/08/23 through Ark system update causes Fatal error: Declaration of ffDataHolder::offsetExists(mixed $offset): bool must be compatible with ArrayAccess::offsetExists($offset) in /home/customer/www/xxxxxx.xxxxxx.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/fresh-framework/framework/core/class.ffDataHolder.php on line 131

Site toast

Had to restore site. The fatal error on upgrade occurred upgrading from 1.63 to 1.65. Won’t be able to update unless this is cleared in a new update.

Arc Academy is down like the live preview sites – even it’s paid via fastspring. When online again? refund? Thanks in advance!

Hi made-at-venues!

It is not technically down, please review other comments here about the latest HSTS bug in the Chrome browser. Either flush your internal HSTS rules for the selected domain or use Firefox. A workaround is being worked on currently from our end so we don’t have to wait for Google to fix it on their end first.

Thanks and cheers! :)

He guys, Media library not working for my dev site when activating fresh framework plug-in. When deactivating the plug-in it does work. What can I do?

Ps. contact form + email address on your website (https://freshface.net/) are not working

Hi Dexo-design!

Replied via ticket.

Thanks and cheers! :)

I’m interested but your live site is down

I’ve been checking back on arktheme.com for over a month and keep getting a timed out connection. Multiple browsers on multiple devices.

Hi David!

When I check now it is working fine, perhaps a networking issue. Please send a direct message through the profile page and we can take a look at it.

Thanks and cheers! :)

HI, your documentation is not very clear. We have been created contact form with Your builder, but cannot find where to add email wich should receive all messages?

Hi Pudis!

It can be inserted on the “Form Wrapper” element, under the General tab. If you would have additional questions please send website links via direct message on the profile page.

Thanks and cheers! :)
