Hello. I’m using image gallery (image grid style), but the images are displayed in ascending order (older first). In the gallery options it does not allow me to change the order to descending (new first) any advice? Thank you

Hey joh2049,

The gallery should display images in the same order you’ve arranged them in within the “Images” field, which is drag and drop. Because there’s no known issue where that would display reversed, could you kindly open a ticket on the support forum in regards with your URL?

Thanks in advance

hi!

is it possible to center an svg image using the single Image box? When i center it, the svg disappears.

Thanks!

Hey agenturhochdrei,

If you’re trying to center the image on mobile only, then the snippet should be changed to:

@media only screen and (max-width: 690px) {
body .img-with-aniamtion-wrap[data-max-width=custom] .inner {
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto!important;
}
}

Kind regards

perfect! Thanks!

You’re welcome, agenturhochdrei :)

Hi there, i am having an issue with the image slider on this page “https://mmoreira.co/hof-highticket/”. The first image on the slider does no load on mobile. Any ideas?

Hey kayota,

Please see my reply to your previous comment in regards

Cheers

Hi there, I have this page here “https://mmoreira.co/hof-highticket/” where I am using the image slider at section “90 templates” but there is an issue: on mobile the first image gets stuck and does not load unless I refresh the page over and over again. Works fine on desktop. Any ideas?!

Hey kayota,

Can you ensure that you have the option “Lazy Load Page Builder Element Images” enabled in your Salient options panel > General settings > performance tab? That option should be enabled if you intend on “Lazy Load” option within the Image Gallery element settings.

If you don’t have that theme option active, try to change your “Lazy load” to “Skip lazy load” in the image gallery element settings

Is there any way to add pagination to the Category Grid element? I have a site with thousands of categories, looking for a way to just get 30 to appear then load in the rest on scrolling …

Hey SeanAUS120,

Unfortunately, there is no built-in option to add pagination to the category grid in the current release of Salient. However, I’ve noted your idea for that on the wishlist.

Kind regards

Hello, I just bought your theme.

Is there a way to include a countdown in the page ? I try to make a “coming soon page”. Thanks in advance !

Hey matvej!

Unfortunately there’s no count down element included in the core element set. Getting that functionality would require the use of a third party plugin as of now.

Kind regards

Hello,

What plugin to you recommend then? I want to add a countdown for the launch of my website. Is the countdown of Elementor can work with your theme, as you use WP Bakery?

Hey matvej,

1. Maintenance Mode is the most popular choice: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/

2. You could also use the countdown element within Elementor if you’re using that plugin on your website

Hello, can we have the dynamic post grid (title and picture showing when hovering) for projects? Thank you

Hey charlotteke!

Yes, you can use the “Text Opacity” options within the grid item coloring/style tab when editing your post grid to create an effect where the meta you’ve selected to display will only show on hover: https://ibb.co/rt8dpHC

Kind regards

Thank you! Can I make this hover effect on a regular text link?

Hey charlotteke, if you’re referring a link outside of the post grid, you would need to use a page builder element such as the Fancy Box to achieve something similar: https://themenectar.com/salient/elements/fancy-box/

Kind regards

Hi guys, I have a question related to the logo. For my website, I use a logo font by going in the Salient > Typography. I also keep Letter Spacing of 6px. Now the issue is that the last letter of the font also keep the letter spacing of 6px and then it’s not exactly in the center be on the web or mobile website. Is there a way to fix it?

Hey asingh2404,

You can make that change by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

#logo {
 margin-right: -6px;
}

Cheers

I hope you’re in good spirits and healthy. I’m currently experiencing a challenge related to Gravity Forms when used with the Salient theme.

The issue concerns a specific Gravity Forms feature known as the “conditional button.” This functionality enables a button to display only when a specific value is entered into a predetermined input field. However, when the Salient theme is activated, this feature interferes with the display of Vimeo iframes.

I’ve already discussed the matter with the Gravity Forms support team. They attribute the conflict to the Salient theme. This assertion is substantiated by the fact that deactivating Salient resolves the issue.

To illustrate, I have created two test pages. The first page (A) operates with the Salient theme activated, while the second page (B) functions with it deactivated. Aside from this variable, the pages are identical. In this setup, the Vimeo video is only visible on page B, where Salient is turned off.

To observe the behavior of the conditional button, please input the word “test” into the text line input field – this will cause the submit button to appear.

Here are the links to the test pages for your review:

A (Salient ON): https://course.elevatorspeechtraining.com/testing-2/

B (Salient OFF): https://estcourse.dev.onpressidium.com/testing-2/

Thank you as always :-)

Hey marcfest,

You should be able to correct that by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

.gform-body iframe, .gform-body iframe.iframe-embed {
    height: auto!important;
    width: auto!important;
}

If you’d like to open a ticket on the support forum in regards I’d be glad to follow up further.

Cheers

You’re amazing. Thank you.

Glad I could help, marcfest :)

Hi there! I have enabled the Secondary Header Bar and have it set to “Display Items Above Mobile Header”. It works great on the homepage but not on other pages such as the following as there is a white bar above it when viewing on a phone, and a black bar above the top nav once you scroll down: https://www.prepsos.com/product/augason-farms-30-day-1-person-emergency-food-supply/

Hey MikeMurphyINC!

It looks like something is dequeuing the WPBakery page builder CSS on your other pages. I would need to take a closer look at the backend of your website in order to fully pinpoint the root cause, but in the meantime you could add the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab to correct it:

https://pastebin.com/P8WgxGP9

If you’d like to open a ticket on the support forum in regards to continuing this, feel free.

Hi, quick question for your amazing theme. Is there a way to create a row with an image on the left column two images on the right column and set it to equal height? Something like you can see here https://www.alltime.ru/ Thanks!

Hey alfamarble!

Yes, we include a template with a similar layout that you can import from the Salient Studio in order to modify/learn from. It’s called “Features Grid #4”: https://ibb.co/TgXH86n

Kind regards

Exaclty what I was searching for. Thank you for the quick reply. You are awesome!

You’re welcome, alfamarble :)

What is the default order that portfolio items sort? It seems random, not alphabetical nor order of creation. Thanks

Hey streetjen,

The default order is by creation date. If your projects are not showing in that order, I would suspect something else in the setup in specified to alter them in some way but would need to take a look at you setup to say what exactly.

In general, if you’d like finer control over your query, I would suggest using the Post Grid element instead: https://themenectar.com/salient/elements/dynamic-post-grid/

Kind regards

Is it possible to filter the recent posts element to only show posts with a certain tag?

Hey MarcGarner,

You could use the “Post grid” element for that with a custom query specified to achieve that: https://ibb.co/Q6s78Jh

Kind regards

A horizontal scroll layout option on the post grid would be great.

Hey MarcGarner, that change is coming in the upcoming big release :)

Hello! I have menus “Top Navigation menu Pull Right” that go under the main menu on small screens “Top Navigation menu”. How to fix it?

Hey art_andry!

You could adjust your “Header Mobile Breakpoint” in the Salient options panel > Header navigation > Mobile header tab to prevent that overlap. Alternatively, you could use CSS to shrink the size of your menu items on smaller display—if you’d like assistance with that snippet, feel free to share your page URL in regards.

Cheers

Hi,

how is it possible to make an 1/2 +1/2 column full width content and in one 1/2 an full-width and height gallery? not Fullscreen but within the column. The columns are equal height and center middle byt i always have top and bottom spaces for the gallery.

Something like an background image in the column but as an gallery.

THX & Cheers!

Hey agenturhochdrei!

Can you share your page URL so that I can take a look at your current gallery settings to assist?

Kind regards

Thanks agenturhochdrei,

You can accomplish that by editing the columns which hold your image galleries and setting their padding to 0.

Then add the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

https://pastebin.com/Dmjy5cax

Kind regards

Hi, is there a way to disable links on post grid, so I can have the grid but disable access to single posts?

Thanks,

Hernan B

Hey Hernan :)

Yes, you can accomplish that by using the following CSS snippet on your page with the post grid:

.nectar-post-grid a {
    pointer-events: none;
}

Cheers

Does the latest version of the theme support PHP version 8.1?

Hey Hanif85,

Yes, you should be fine to run PHP 8.1—the upcoming release is bringing 8.2 compatibility as well.

If you’re experiencing any specific issues, please open a ticket on the support forum in regards

Cheers

Hi, I have an old license and already published the site, now I have create another website with the old license on my localhost do I have to buy a new license? if yes have to activate it without losing all the pages

Hey mahmoudy2k,

You must obtain a single license for each use on a live domain. However, if you’re removing the existing live site to build a new one, that would be allowed.

Kind regards

We are using a child theme from version 10.5.3. from 6/14/2019 for the Salient WordPress theme. The latest version is v15.0.9 dated 4/6/23. We need to re-purchase the theme as we lost the license. Can you please tell me if all we need to do is update the parent theme?

Hey Hanif85,

As long as you haven’t made major modifications to template files via your child theme, you likely will only need to swap the parent theme. If you run into compatibility issues with your child theme, you may need to update any outdated templates within the child.

Kind regards

Hi everyone, this is not a support issue, but I need some guidance or assistance. I love this theme, but I’m not very good at design and layout. I have a clear idea of what I want, but I don’t know how to make it happen, especially with all the new features.

Where can I find a designer or theme editor who is an expert in this theme? I want to hire someone who knows how to use it well. Since Envato Studio is no longer available, I’m not sure where to look.

Thank you for your help.

Hey filmscape :)
