The “meta from bottom on hover” doesn’t apply custom coloring to the title/meta. However, you could globally alter it by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:

body .portfolio-items .col h3,
body .portfolio-items .col p {
  color: #000;
}

However, if you need to specify different coloring per project, I would recommend switching to another project style which supports custom coloring.

Hey IlovetheHikes! You won’t receive updates in the admin section unless you’ve installed the Envato market plugin. You are also allowed to white label it, but there’s no built-in functionality to do that by default.

I actually found the culprit shortly after you wrote this. We’re running LearnDash on the site and when I did an inventory of what plugins might be causing conflict, by elimination of source, I found that it’s a LearnDash add-on plugin called “Groups Plus” that’s causing the issue. So I will dig through that and contact them if needed.

While there is no demo import file available, every section on that landing page besides the portfolio area is available to add through the Studio template library—you just need to add them one at a time to your page (10 in total) instead of doing the normal demo import process.

Looking at your page source code, there does actually seem to be some custom CSS which is explicitly altering the 1/6th column width to display as a 1/7 division: https://ibb.co/TWjrq4h It seems to be coming from the “Simple Custom CSS/JS” plugin active in your setup.

The “Ascend” theme skin in the Salient options > general settings > styling tab will center the comments section.

If you would like that without changing the skin, it would require a snippet of custom CSS. I’d be glad to provide that if you can share one of your post URLs.

I’m glad to purchase but I really need some assistance with getting a like theme, I can’t even include a site map, many other things due to the theme being completely outdated, not sure why they used an outdated theme and left me to deal with it all these months.

The developer who built your site would have needed to provide you with the license or setup the Envato market plugin in order for you to receive theme updates: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/

Taking a quick look at your site, it looks as though you have some styling conflicts created by your active performance settings with wprocket and others. I would suggest disabling your third party performance plugins when troubleshooting the issues you’re experiencing.
