the demo page was build using the native block editor, so it can’t be edited via Elementor. To use it with the Elementor you will have to build it from scratch. However that applies only for the front page, other pages are either basic pages, posts or auto generated pages (like archive pages).
Even if you will recreate the front page from the scratch, it is really just a matter of few minutes, just follow this tutorial please: http://docs.lsvr.sk/pressville.wp/#front-page

We are having trouble displaying documents on a specific page. We can make them appear on their own, we can make them appear when using the default editor when we make a page using Unyson, but we cannot get the document widget to appear on the page. Greetings I bought the Pressville – WordPress theme and I want to use WPBakery. I followed the installation documentation step by step, I installed the parent and Child theme, I installed all the required plugins and I installed js_composer, but when I proceed to the documented installation: “To import content, go to Tools / Import and click WordPress. You may be prompted to install the Importer plugin if you don’t already have it. Once you’ve installed and activated it, go back to Tools / Import / WordPress. Now choose which content you want to import. If you want to import everything, choose the content.xml file.” the following error is encountered: “Import of Media “Application_for_Demolition_Permit” failed” this error is present on ALL files. I kindly ask for your help on how to fix, my intention is to install identically like your demo and use js_composer, Thank you

However, please note that the demo content was not built using the WPBakery, but the front page can be build in it though. There is a tutorial on how the front page was build using the block editor, but all the mentioned elements can be found in the WPBakery as well, so I highly recommend to give it a try: http://docs.lsvr.sk/wordbench.wp/#front-page

Greetings, I also tried the quick demo, I uninstalled WPBakery and installed Elementor but the result of the import does not change the site is visible without images and graphic settings in this way it is unwatchable, you would have to work from scratch instead I preferred to work on the demo as present du themeforest se this is not possible for me this thema is useless. All the mentioned elements are available in both the Elementor and WPBakery, just follow this and you will have a front page ready in no time.
The Pressville Theme is adding two blank lines to the beginning of the RSS feed XML, creating an “XML or text declaration not at start of entity” error. Switching to the Twenty Twenty-One theme fixes this issue (the extraneous two blank lines are not present), so the issue is clearly with the theme.

I disabled all of the LSVR plugins, one by one, and the problem persists. And I checked that switching to the Twenty Twenty-One theme, even with all of the LSVR plugins active, still fixes the issue. Is there an RSS template in the Pressville theme somewhere that needs to be fixed/overridden?
The only RSS-related code thing the theme does, is that it adds this code in the functions.php line 85:
add_theme_support( 'automatic-feed-links' );
So you can try to open the file in the theme root and remove it to see if it makes any difference (it should be possible to open it directly in admin via Appearance / Editor – but make sure you are editing the parent theme not child one)

We’re having a problem with events. When we add an event and set the dates in the future. When we publish the event and go to view it there’s a message saying the event has passed, and the date is not displaying. If we go back and edit the event the date is still set correctly in the future. Any ideas what’s causing this?

this sounds to me like you are setting the event in a wrong way, feel free to share the screenshot of the admin event edit screen (feel free to PM me first to switch to email communication)

BUG/FEATURE REQUEST: The Upcoming Events widget appears to display the first N events (or event recurrences) starting from the current Month not the current Date. I have a recurring event which ended earlier this month and went on for 12 days – it takes up all the available slots in the widget when presumably what should be displayed are events from today onwards? you set your event wrong. If it is an one time event which lasts several days, then you should not set is a recurring. That’s not how recurring events work. Just disable recurrence and it will work as expected.

FEATURE REQUEST: Currently in the Directory listing page the “Address” text box does two things – adds a nice overlay with “Click here to view on google maps” in the listing itself, and overlays the address on the featured image in the main Directory view. So currently you can either choose both, or neither. I would very much like to have control over the two things independently e.g. to keep the “Click here to view on google maps” in the listing, but NOT clutter the featured image by overlaying the address. Thanks for considering this change request

Hi – the image carousel in all my Directory Listings seems to have stopped working over the last few days. Now all you see in the published view is a grey rectangle with a swirling (“loading…”) graphic that never seems to finish.
I notice my child theme is version Version: 2.0.1 whereas the main them is version Version: 2.6.8 if that’s a possible cause. It’s my first Wordpress site so I’m very nervous about updating/changing anything so if an update is required to bring the two in sync, please could you point me to some idiot-proof instructions?
My website goes live on Friday so I’m super stressed about this – please reply as soon as you can, thanks!

it has nothing to do with child vs parent version, they have different versioning, the child theme is actually not supposed to be updated at all, as that would defy its purpose. It sounds more like you’ve installed some 3rd party plugin which created some sort of conflict. Try to disable all 3rd party plugins if it makes any change. If that won’t work then please share your URL where I can see it.

Yep I tried disabling all plugins except LSVR ones and the problem persists… please see https://witheridge.online/directory/chulmleigh-college/ Carousels on the home page work fine, just the Directory Listing one that freezes even for old listings like this one which worked previously. Feel free to register and try creating a Directory post yourself and I can elevate access if needed. Clicking the Email icon at bottom of each page will put us in direct contact. Many thanks for your help – as I say I’m really stressing about this ahead of our launch date on Monday :s
Update: Looking at the Network tab in Chrome for this example, there are several errors “Failed to load response data: No data found for resource with given identifier” e.g. pressville-icons.ttf?ykgj07 which obviously IS a Pressville thing… I’ve found a temporary fix too but this still points to an issue with the Directory template: I discovered that if I disable the schema.org metadata checkbox at the bottom of the Directory page, the carousel reappears correctly. If I enable it, the carousel “freezes” again. I also notice that enabling Metadata prevents the Google Maps/Street Maps insert from appearing in the published Directory listing. It may or may not be relevant that I’m using the Real Cookie Banner plugin, but I did try disabling this earlier and it didn’t solve the problem. The original reason I started using the Metadata fields was to avoid “cluttering” the main Directory listing with everyone’s addresses overlayed on their featured images. If there were a way to still record address in the main fields but NOT overlap address on the featured images that would be perfect – please let me know your thoughts?
The carousel on listing doesn’t work because you have only two images there so there is nothing to slide.
I am checking the console for the fonts errors, but I don’t see anything about pressville-icons, only about some 3rd party ones which I assume are caused by the radio widget you are using.
Thanks Lubos – I’ve disabled Metadata so if you’re seeing the two images that’s why now… The problem wasn’t that they wouldn’t slide, but previously no images at all were displayed – just a grey box with a pulsing grey “loading” circle. Please focus on why the Enable Metadata checkbox consistently creates an issue when enabled, and fixes the issue when disable? Many thanks.

Ok, no need to do it, I’ve found the issue. Open the wp-content/themes/pressville/inc/lsvr-directory/actions.php file and replace line 405 with this line:

Hi, I am curious if there is a way to display the email and phone # of a Person when using the Featured Person Widget? It defauts to name and title, and I see I can select Social Media Links, but not the basic Phone/Email.
Any help is appreciated.

you mean the events archive page? Honestly, I don’t know how to do that since that is not a regular page which has a featured image. My guess is you will need a3rd party plugin like Yoast SEO and it can possible have a feature for that.

First you will have to disable the large first column
