Have you specified a line height for the text as well? e.g. entering in a responsive unit-less size such as “1.4” should prevent that from occurring. If that doesn’t correct it, kindly share the page URL so that I can take a look to assist.

You can add the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab to alter the size of that button:

.nectar-mobile-only.mobile-header .menu-item a {

  transform: scale(0.7);

}

Hey CreativePlace, I’m glad that you’re enjoying the latest release!

It’s not possible to easily remove that warning, as it’s related to jQuery, which is a core script of WordPress. However, even if you did the development to fix the warning, it would not yield any noticeable performance differences.

I would recommend instead focusing on improving your page scoring based on the documentation here.

Hey Shaladurim, Salient has been compatible with PHP 8 for a couple of years now. We personally use PHP 8.1 for the live demos as well. As you using a relatively recent version of Salient (v14+)?

A lot of those warnings you’ve pasted are coming from other plugins as well as the core of WordPress. You should also ensure that you’re using a recent release of WP (v6.2+) and that you’ve updated all the plugins in your setup.

I am able to make the change by editing it directly on the helper header.php but I am not able to get it to work using a child theme. Is there something special I need to put in the functions.php file in my child theme that I might be missing?

Hey tmudd89, are you copying the “nectar_get_social_media_list” function from the file and placing it into your child theme? If so, ensure that you’re also not including the wrapping check for

if ( !function_exists('nectar_get_social_media_list') )

Unfortunately there’s no built-in option for that functionality within the circle images element—in the current version, they are intended to function as a design element.

Unfortunately, there’s no built-in option to place an input field inline next the menu items. The Salient search requires a click of the search icon to be relieved—that option is located in the Salient options > Header navigation > header search tab. If you wanted to create a custom input form directly in the header, you would need to handle that via a child theme.
