Hi Salient team,
I have an open support ticket, but unfortunately, no one is answering anymore for 2 weeks now.
So here are my Problems with mobile landscape view:
I have set up my site so that it works in desktop (16:9) and mobile portrait (9:16). But when I rotate the phone to landscape mode, things don’t work at all.
- All of the “Gradient Text” Elements do not scale and are way too big in landscape mode
- The “mobile text sizing options” for the “Nectar Slider” do not work at all. No matter what I type in, nothing happens.
- The “smartphone landscape mode” in the WPBakery responsive preview is not landscape at all. It’s only slightly wider than portrait mode, but still vertical. When I switch the view directly in Chrome, only then can I see true horizontal landscape.
I assume that most of the problems could be solved if there would be different settings for mobile portrait and mobile landscape. The regular desktop version should work just fine for mobile landscape (I guess).
Is there a way to switch to the mobile view ONLY for mobile portrait, but NOT for mobile landscape?
I don’t have a lot of experience in wordpress or coding, so maybe I just set it up all wrong?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Dennis
Hey Dennis, I’m sorry to hear about that. I’ve located your ticket on the forum and followed up. It looks like there was a mistake when your ticket was reassigned, which put it out of the regular queue.
Kind regards
the new Post Loop Builder – pages by ids? I see there is an option to select pages as the sources, but how can I limit the loop to specific pages? Can it be done by IDS?
Hey kimireland, the post loop builder does not currently have the option to limit the query by a specific ID, thought I’ve noted the idea on the wishlist.
Kind regards
Some of the product page shows but the other parts are covered by solid black or solid white. Using latest Salient, WP, and Woocommerce. Cleared all cache. https://tinyurl.com/amfut2pb
Hey ehong33234, that’s likely occurring from the same error I mentioned in your last comment. Have you tried to disable your performance plugin that’s altering the JavaScript loading? If so, please open a ticket on the support forum in regards
Thanks in advance
Upgraded to the latest Salient but my product pages are now all blank. I tried clearing cache, using different browsers on both mac and pc, and private browsing but nothing works. I am using the latest WP and Salient versions. Please take a look here: https://tinyurl.com/ycynkbp6 and help me fix ASAP, thank you!
I looked in the browser inspector and found that hiding this “div class=”reveal-2 web-inspector-hide-shortcut” removes the blank/black screen but I am not a dev or coder so I don’t know why this is happening. Any suggestions?

I was able to put in this custom css code and it solved the problem but it looks like the dropdown menu (top main menu) doesn’t work now on the product page.
/* #ajax-loading-screen .reveal-2 {display: none !important} */
Hey ehong33234,
Since there’s no known issue similar to what’s shown in your setup, I would need to take a look at your backend to assist further. Please open a ticket on the support forum. In the meantime it looks like it’s stemming from the fancy select styling, so you should be able to bypass it by disabling the “Enable Fancy Select Styling” in the Salient options > form styling tab.
Kind regards
There is a glitch on your theme in the User account page. Please see here: https://clifftondry.co.za/renew/my-account/ – the edit address (with home icon) has a padding issue. None of my plugins clash or any of my custom css, and I saw it in one of my other sites.
Hey gustav939, I would need an account in order to access that page, however I can’t replicate what you’re describing locally: https://ibb.co/svhF9J8 Kindly open a ticket on the support forum in regards so that we can take a closer look at your site.

Hey MarcGarner, thanks for the requests
Hello team!
I can’t get the background to the main header (menu) when I scroll down, I want it to be white. I am using architecture template. I have seen from the salient area options.
I hope you help me. Thank you so much.
Hey alandres,
Ensure that you’ve disabled the option “Header Permanent Transparent” in the Salient options > Header navigation > Transparent header effect tab.
Kind regards
Thanks for the help, that has worked.
However I am doing something wrong. I have a black and white logo, when I scroll down the background color is correct, it is white. But the logo does not change to black, I have the following configuration.
I have a second question. For the entire web I am using a font (from google font) in the h1 tag with the Salient configuration. But I have other headers that h1 use 2 fonts: the one that comes by default and another. The only way is to use the “Custom Header” element where I can choose the other font. From the front design it can be appreciated, but not from the web. Even inspecting the element shows me the css of the new font.
Thank you very much for the help. Pd. the links are the same, both questions.
Hey alandres,
1. In the Salient options > header navigation > logo & general styling tab, have you also set your black logo for the standard “Logo upload” fields?
2. If I understand you correctly, you are trying to use a separate font for your h1 tag in certain locations, which differs from what you’ve set in the Salient options panel > typography tab, is that correct? If so, and you’re saying that the custom heading you’re trying to use isn’t respecting that alternative font, please share the actual page URL where that issue can be seen so that I can take a look.
Kind regards
Hello team! I have been able to solve the logo problem when scrolling down, but the another question no.
Hey alandres,
1. The default logo should be specified as your dark version, when using a light colored background for the normal state of the nav bar as you are. That is the logo which will be used when your navigation is not in the transparent state.
2. It looks like the “Alex Brush” font is not getting loaded from the custom heading on your page. However, I can’t replicate the same issue locally. Have you tried to temporarily disable all performance plugins you have active which may be effecting the loading of fonts?
Kind regrds
Hello team! Thank you for the help, yes! Apparently it was a plugin that didn’t allow the custom text to be seen well, weird, right? Thank you so much.
Glad I could help, alandres
Come across an issue with the testimonial slider. If you choose the Minimal style, the testimonial text extends to the full width of the parent container, so that it overlaps with the navigation arrows at the sides, but it appears ok in the frontend editor.
Sorry, please ignore. My fault.
Actually no, maybe there is a problem there. I’ve got round it with some CSS anyway.
Hey beachmat, I can’t seem to recreate that locally or via the live demos which use that style of the testimonial slider e.g. https://themenectar.com/salient/elements/testimonial-slider/
Could you kindly share your page URL where I can take a look at it occurring?
Cheers
Thanks – it’s fine now. Must have been a caching issue or something.
Hi! I want to use Google font called “Caveat” .
I’ve selected Custom Heading, and in settings I go to Font Family – but this font is not listed there…
Can you help to fix it? – Thanks!!!
Hey artishock!
The custom heading is a core element within WPBakery and does not include a full list of Google fonts that we include through the options panel. If you would like to use a font not specified in that list, you can set it on a heading tag through the Salient options panel > typography tab on your desired heading and then use that in the custom heading element or one of Salient elements.
Kind regards
Hi there,
The mobile header padding (on the left and right) keeps switching at random between full width and padded. Did something change in the last update that could affect this? It was working fine before.
Hey Romanesco,
There’s no known issue which would cause the mobile header padding to change values. If you’re using a performance plugin, have you cleared your cache since updating? If that doesn’t apply, please share your URL in regards so that I can take a look.
Kind regards
Turns out it’s a iOS 17 Beta Safari issue. Thank you!
Hello! Salient is helping us reaching the top! Is there a way to update the Google font list? There are some fonts missing. Thank you.
Hey fundaciondeacero, that’s awesome to hear!
I’ve noted to refresh the Google font list in the next minor update.
Cheers
Hi, I wanto use this css: #top #logo { display: none !important; } to hide logo incertain category for example: in category id 284. How i do that?
Hey shaky512, If you only need to remove the logo on categories archives, you could do so with CSS:
.category-284 #top #logo {
display: none;
}
However, if you need to remove it on single posts which are assigned a specific category, a PHP modification from your child will be required.
Kind regards
HI, can you help me, how to make certain post in certain category have no sidebar (fullwidth), is there any php code or css code to do that?
Hey shaky512,
If you need to remove the sidebar for ALL posts in a certain category, you would be better off handling that via PHP through a child theme. If you were to use CSS, you would need to make a rule for each post ID e.g.
.postid-6598 #ajax-content-wrap .post-area.span_9 {
width: 100%;
Margin-right: 0;
}
.postid-6598 #ajax-content-wrap #sidebar {
display: none;
}
If you’d like assistance with the PHP route, please open a ticket on the support forum in regards.
Cheers
hi guys,
I have a few questions:
- How do I adjust the line height of the Off Canvas Navigation (sub) Dropdown? I can’t find this anywhere. Yes, the Off Canvas Navigation, but not the sub menu. Or it doesn’t work, that’s also possible.
- When I hover over the menu with my mouse, I see a line. Is it possible to see only a color change?
- Is it possible to expand the menu AND on the text, AND the down arrow?
- Is it possible to give all pages a (Force Transparency On Navigation)? Now I do that manually on every page.
Hope you can help me with this? Thank you very much!
- Is it possible to show the breadcrumbs of the page I’m on next to the hamburger menu?
Link to my website: https://design.ruimdenkers.nl/vad/
Hey ruim_denkers,
1.
body #slide-out-widget-area.slide-out-from-right-hover .inner .off-canvas-menu-container li li a,
body #slide-out-widget-area.slide-out-from-right-hover .inner .off-canvas-menu-container li li {
line-height: 1;
margin: 0;
}
2: Kindly use the support forum when posting multiple questions, as this is not the appropriate location. If questions are unrelated, they should also be opened in separate tickets in order to correctly have them archive/assigned to the team.
3: That would require a snippet of custom CSS such as: https://pastebin.com/4NmTghRy
4. That could be achieved via a filter in your child theme which we could assist with on the support forum
5. There is no option to enable breadcrumbs in that area. However, if you’re using Yoast you could programmatically call the breadcrumbs in that area via a child theme modification.
Kind regards
Hey guys! Best theme ever! I have a question – I have a client who would like their menu below the slider is this possible with css? If I add a top margin I can move it down but when you scroll down the menu doesnt move back to the top?
Heres an example of what im trying to build: https://www.wildcolour.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Screenshot-2023-08-03-103713.png
Hey richardwells, I’m glad you’re enjoying Salient
Unfortunately there’s no built-in option to move the main header navigation below a slider on the page. However, you could skip using the default header all together and manually create a row of links under your slider via the page builder. That row could then utilize the option “Sticky row” within its settings to keep it fixed at the top once it’s scrolled to.
Kind regards
Hello!
I’ve been trying to change a category color… No success.
Can it be a bug from the new version? Because it was working before and still is, just not for this new category. All previous categories are ok with their individual colors just the new one is with the theme accent color.
I’ve emptied cache in W3 Total Cache.
I look forward for your reply.
Thanks,
José
Hey José!
If you have already specified your category color using the color pickers, kindly try to resave your theme options in the Salient options panel to regenerate your dynamic CSS.
Kind regards
Hi Mr. Nectar Case solved. Many thanks! José
You’re welcome, José
If I install this theme, can I use it with Gutenberg and no with “WPBakery page builder”? Thanks, Francisco
Hey Francisco,
You’re free to use the core block editor if desired, however, you’ll be missing out on the Salient element set and the ability to use any of the premade templates.
Kind regards

Hello, I paid for a year of support and none of the support forum links work.
I was having an issue with the Row vs Column editing but the documentation is fairly thorough. I would like valid support links.
*Please. Thank you
Hey Geoutah, we apologize about that time period from earlier today when Ticksy was down for an hour—everything should be back online now!
