Hello team!
I would like translate just this text, because I have my WP spanish.
Text on search input: “Type what you’re looking for”
Regards
Hey alandres,
You could enter custom text for that area directly in the Salient options panel > header navigation > header search tab via the field “Search Placeholder Text”.
Kind regards
Thank you. ♂️
You’re welcome, alandres
Hi ThemeNectar,
Before I dive to deep into things, I wanted to reach out and ask if something similar to the example below is possible to design and create with Salient.
https://dribbble.com/shots/3268934-Split-Screen-Navigation-Concept/attachments/3268934-Split-Screen-Navigation-Concept?mode=mediaPlease let me know. Many thanks.
Best, Alan
Hey Alan,
The design of the two pages shown in that dribbble shot are relatively possible to recreate using Salient. However, there are no built-in options to achieve that transition between the pages.
Kind regards
Hi. How can i have such modals on pages ? https://imgur.com/a/b31FvXU
Hey rivija, Salient does not a built-in modal element so you would need to use a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/popup-maker/
Kind regards
Hey! Have a nice day! Is it possible to add falling tags like here through plugin or smth https://sendpotion.com/ – scroll a bit and you will see falling tags.
Hey raffess!
There’s no built-in functionality to achieve that via HTML elements—you would need to recreate it via a video background at this current time.
Hope you have a good day as well!
How can I achieve that? or maybe it Is possible to just make a inner column flippable?
They above content is mostly written within
styled elements +1 font awesome custom raw html code.
But when I put those inside the front box content editor, it doesn’t display.
The perfect would be for the front box content to use the same editor as the back content (is there a way to enable that with some modifications? if so, how?).
Thanks for any hints
Hey juvengle,
There’s no way to have more than one HTML enabled editor per element, so unfortunately that can’t be enabled for the front of the flip box.
You’ll likely need to modify the actual template file via your child theme: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/overriding-salient-wpbakery-element-template-files-through-a-child-theme/
Which template file would I need to modify? is there an easy way to make multiple flip boxes templates? As I need to create few i similar styling but with different icons in front and different text in the back.
Hey juvengle,
The file is located at wp-content/plugins/salient-core/includes/vc_templates/nectar_flip_box.php
The best way to achieve it would be utilize the existing icon option on the front and modify the style of it to your specifications. The “More” button could then be hardcoded into the template file itself.
Kind regards
Hello, I am interested if there is non Wordpress version available? I would like to have HTML version only. Is it possible?
Hey pixello,
There are no plans for an HTML only version of Salient at this time.
Kind regards
OK, and what about including that HTML version along with Wordpress version? I am going to buy the theme anyways, but I would really need the HTML version as well. Possible to get?
Hey pixello, there are also no plans to bundle that directly with the theme package, however if you purchase a license you would be permitted to use the design in a static context if desired.
Is this just for users with the user role of contributor? Or does it effect all user roles above and including contributor?
Fixed Security vulnerability for contributor+ XSS
Hey jbennett360, it’s for contributors and above. The details related to it won’t be made public until September, but it’s recommended to update prior to then.
Kind regards
Suppose the bonus here (to some extent) is that it requires a valid login to take advantage of the vulnerability. That should minimize the risk for the majority.
Thanks for the quick response
You’re welcome, jbennett360
Hi,
I am a long-time owner of Salient.
I am thinking of purchasing another license as I want to create a site with a “directory” using something like a portfolio layout like the following website.
https://creativedestructionlab.com/companies/Is this possible with Salient? If so, I’ll purchase another license this week.
Thank you.
Hey logicbank,
The biggest difference you’ll encounter when trying to replicate that is that Salient does not support multiple filters—the post loop builder can only sort by your chosen category/taxonomy list. However, multiple sets of filters can’t be active at the same time.
Kind regards
Hi there !
I would like to increase the speed of the carousel autorotate on this page https://allure-recrutement.com/accueil-brouillon/, what is the solution ?
Thanks a lot
Hey ninabobo8!
When you edit the carousel element, you can use the field “autorotation speed” to enter in your desired rotation speed: https://ibb.co/MG3DXTG
Kind regards
Hey, thank you for your return, but I have only that in the options : https://allure-recrutement.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Capture-decran-2023-08-14-a-22.35.06.png
Hey ninabobo8, the autorotation speed field is not available when you’re using the “ticker movement” option. However, you have the field “Ticker movement speed” (slow, medium, fast) which will control that.
Kind regards
Ok that’s perfect, thank you very much !
You’re welcome, ninabobo8
Hello & have a nice day. Can’t find Belanosima font from Google fonts in Salient.
Hey raffess, the Google font list was just updated in the recent minor release 16.0.5.
Cheers
Hello Salient Team! Is there a way to position the fancybox content at the bottom? Best regards
okay i ask chat gpt. i get the answere
.nectar-fancy-box .inner {
display: flex;
flex-direction: column;
justify-content: flex-end;
}
Hey nyb-notyourbusiness, I’m glad you were able to get the answer you needed
Cheers
Hi!
Is it possible to add a decimal number to the milestone element?
Thank you!
Hey agenturhochdrei, Yes, Salient already allows that by default. If you’re not seeing that functionality available, you probably just need to update to a more recent version: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/
Cheers
i updated the plugins
Thanks
You’re welcome, agenturhochdrei
Dear Theme Nectar.
I have two questions:
Could you please add the option to have the name “search” next to the icon visible? Some of my clients ask for it.
In what template file can I find the original, so I can edit it to be localized?
-
A client wants to use Salient for a blog website, but he wants a page with all authors, clickable and linking to all articles of that page. Is this possible out of the box? Or what would be your best work around?
Thanks!
Hey H0kus41!
1. You can find the search button output in the function “nectar_header_button_items” which can be copied to your child theme from salient/nectar/helpers/header.php
2. You would need to manually create a list of your authors using the Salient elements and link each of them to their respective author page e.g. https://themenectar.com/salient/mag/author/oliverknight/
Kind regards
Please consider making the “search” text visible in the settings. Not all users understand what the icon means. Thank you for your answer though.
I’ve added a +1 to that idea on the wishlist
Hi dear ThemeNectar. I want to use the Creative Porfolio(slider-portfolio) theme. What should I do? I would like to know the procedure or method. Thanks!
Hey ggonish!
You can import that demo by using the Salient demo importer plugin. Here is the documentation on importing a demo: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-demo-importer-plugin/
Kind regards
Thank you for answer. If so, via the themeforest site Salient | Does purchasing the Creative Multipurpose & WooCommerce Theme mean I can use the demos I want without the extra cost of using the demo import plugin?
Hey ggonish,
Yes, everything is included to recreate all of the demos. However, as with any theme purchased from ThemeForest, you can only use the theme for one live domain per license purchased.
Kind regards
Hi Salient team! I want to create a header that changes color and an image every x number of seconds. Like here: https://www.fiverr.com/?source=top_nav How can I accomplish this? Thanks!
Hey apinzon!
You could get something similar by setting your header navigation to use the transparent effect where the logo and navigation items would remain as white while at the top, and then use a Carousel page builder element set to fade + automate to swap the background image.
If you would like assistance setting that up, please open a ticket on the support forum in regards
Cheers
Hello,
I wanted to know if there was a way to reverse the sort order of the categories in the category grid? https://mdc.mc/fr/ventes-aux-encheres-numismatiques-passees/Thank you in advance.
Hey acapucho,
You can do that by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:
.nectar-category-grid {
flex-direction: row-reverse;
justify-content: flex-end;
}
Cheers
It’s perfect, but I don’t understand why vae 11 didn’t come first?
Any idea where this might have come from?
Hey acapucho,
Unfortunately there’s no good way to allow reverse ordering with CSS alone when items flow onto multiple rows. In order this the approach I provided to work how you want, your items would need to remain on the same row.
Alternatively, you could also override the template for the category grid and alter the query to be truly reversed, and then the custom CSS could be removed. https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/overriding-salient-wpbakery-element-template-files-through-a-child-theme/

Hey there. I hope you’re good. Quick question: What CSS will move down the caption text towards the bottom but only for the first slide of the Nectar slider at www.est.io (the slider showing me and my chatbot)? Thanks as always. (I’m reposting this since I was logged in under a different account before).
actually, don’t worry. I’ve decided on a different approach.
Hey marcfest
In case you’re still trying to do that, you can move that by adding the following snippet into the custom CSS box located in the Salient options panel > General Settings > CSS/Script related tab:
.home .swiper-slide:nth-child(2) .content,
.home .swiper-slide:last-child .content {
top: auto!important;
bottom: 20%;
}
Kind regards

Hi, could you tell me please haw can update the new twitter icon in your theme? There is a special code o something to include the x in the footer with de social widget (the official of salient)
Hey misivadigital, that will be a built-in theme option in the upcoming minor release (16.0.5) due out shortly.
Kind regards
Great! thank you. Such a wonderful theme!!!
Glad I could help, misivadigital
Hi, I need to change the heading which is in h2 for a paragrah text in Nectar Slider for SEO purpose for my customer. Where I can find this coding or can you show me a way to do this? Thank you
Hey gjfortin,
Instead of adding in text into the heading field, you can simply use the caption field instead, which uses a paragraph tag.
Kind regards
Thank you ThemeNectar for your reply. But I will not be able to set this caption text with the same design of the h2 tag.
And I already have a caption. So I am not able to setr this new caption in Salient – Typography – Nectar caption.
Hey gjfortin,
If you need to modify the actual markup, you’ll have to copy the function “nectar_slider_display” from wp-content/plugins/salient-nectar-slider/includes/frontend/helpers.php to your child theme in order to make the change.
Kind regards
Great! thank you ThemeNectar
You’re welcome, gjfortin
